because scouts that have actual skill and good shot placement are scunts. that's why i just go ham with the stock bat. can't be a scunt if you get kills with one of the worst weapons in the game. though now that my internet is shite i rarely get kills anymore.
Ace, I don't know if you'll see this, but between you and Soundsmith I finally worked up the balls to start playing TF2. I only have 10 hours in the game, but I love it already. Funnily enough, almost a third of my time has been playing medic. Anyway, thanks for making your content. Even in this trying time, people like me still love and enjoy the game.
I hope you've enjoyed it for even longer! Its main downsides atm are the salty community and bot problem, along with valve not giving any major updates

If I remember correctly, the old competitive version of pl_Swiftwater (back in 2013 when it was a community map and not part of the official stock maps yet) did not have that upper floor connector between the houses that allowed BLU to walk all the way behind RED to the top of RED spawn in perfect safety. There were the dynamic one-way gates for BLU that opened up new flank paths as they capped checkpoints, yes. But I remember, a few years ago I was like, "Wait, since when is there corridor here and a dropdown for BLU? When did they add that?"
But in general, whenever I look at competitive league "pro" versions of existing PL maps, like Barnblitz_pro8 and Badwater_pro, I noticed that with every iteration the map makers added more paths and advantages for BLU and took away cover for RED, to make individual match rounds an unbalanced roll, because comp players apparently want "quick rounds". So it becomes merely a competition on who can roll over RED team fastest, because in comp league, with comp configs, both teams switch sides several times. Problem is, that might work for comp TF2. But using those highly modified "pro" maps in normal community servers with normal gameplay configs sucks, because not only does it feel unfair, the map literally _is_ unbalanced, with all advantages given to BLU. For example, pl_barnblitz_pro4 was still fine, but pro6 and pro8 are just frustrating. I've written a whole essay on why, detailing all the changes and their results, back when pro6 came out. Yet community server players want to play the "pro" versions, even those that are an unplaytested mess edited by just one person, because they are under the delusion those versions are "better" and they want to feel like pros.
I join on 4 servers and people were in the same mood, a very low mood, they didn't wanted to play, but it also felt like they have to play, a scape from quarantine but its no other chance ;-; And the bots All the stuff happening arround the game, its so sad

I've been struggling to find it in the settings, but how do I even change servers, I don't wanna keep playing in European servers, cuz we just keep getting salty CSGO kids and bots, rarely I find a good team that knows their stuff
I hate that aimbot hacker. There is a couple of em all in a group that play that stupid audio constantly, leave when they are about to get kicked, and then come back. Most obnoxious thing in the world

Try creators.tf and potato. Tf creators.tf And potatoes have new content on their servers which is pretty good.
