Did you ever figure out what the numbers mean? Im still new to the machine and just dig it all pretty much. New video on numbers???? Thanks for the review
Great first look there Arron. It does take a little while to get used to the numbers. On the Nox and the Vanquish they go -9 to 40 whereas on most Nokta Makro machines they go 0-99. Some people wouldn't dig a 9 or 10 but I do because some gold rings will come in at that number. Had the Vanquish 440 on the beach this afternoon and coming from the Equinox it felt very familiar. It's basically the same machine with some of the advanced settings taken out...which I never use anyway. Yes the Vanquish does "look" cheap but it is actually very well built. Very solid and well balanced. Only did an hour today so will be out for longer tomorrow.
respect to you for stepping out of the comfort zone . i used to be a one make only man but now i love trying out different makes you learn so much more about detecting . it took me a month to get used to the equinox and now i love it HH&GL
I’m with you looks like a red Garret, 11 on the beach 5p you will miss iron core coins if you use iron bias, not a bad thing as they can be crusty except for summer for new drops. I look forward to some comparisons in the future but get use to using the machine 1st performance looks good so far👍
Would love to try it on probs the most challenging beaches of all like the rocky ones we have here on the west coast of Scotland. The Equinox copes easily with them, the Simplex doesn't nor does the Ace 250. 🤔 nice vid.
Not a bad machine there, good to see them using quick clips again (one thing I hated about the NOX) and you can change the batteries. Think I'd tone down the 'pink' colour, looking forward to seeing how you get on
Good looking machine that Arron mate... Dunt think id choose it offer the simplex myself thought. Looking forward to seeing morr vids with it 👍🏻 atb DdD.
Its more like the Ace 400i, the 250 had no volume control. And the Vanquish comes with Bluetooth. Loved the video about this machine. Think i might buy it as a back up for my AT Max 😉
Excellent video I would dig everything at first I can’t wait to see how you get on with it. I liked your Ace video too. That is the first detector my other half said sounds like one she would use because it does everything for you apart from swing & dig lol Good luck on your next dig. I hope you get gold 👍🏻
Interesting video Arron. Ejoyed my visit and hearing your comments on the detector. Time will tell. the problem I now have is which one do I go for Vanquish or Simplex. So frustrating. lol. H.H. My friend
I like the look of the vanquish, are they PI machines like the equinox do you know mate? I have been interested in these for a while. Good video enjoyed watching, I will see you at spring detectival! Got my ticket the other day yaay! 😁👍 ATB,GL&HH Mark
Exciting to have a new machine to play with Arron , wondering if they introduced the vanquish to compete with the Garrett/ simplex ? But still they all find the right stuff straight forward to use out of the box , just knowing what numbers represent the targets but soon figure that it. Great video Arron
Any solid numbers, no matter what they are, angle yourself 90° and sweep again, if you get a solid number the same of any number ie: 1, or 18 then dig it.. Low numbers are usually roman or gold.. 18,19 around that could be items with nickel in it or silver..👍 Bigger numbers usually is big items.. Good luck buddy..👊
Nice one Arron, I lose track of how many detectors you have! Lol. Is it lighter than the simplex? Will you be doing a comparison of depth tests against the kruzer and simplex?
Great video mate and I agree I am not a fan of the look of it I feel it's a big step back for Minelab and they are not cheap machines compared to the Simplex which is also a much more professional looking machine. I look forward to seeing how you get on with it.
Given the price point, I think a lot will want to know how you rate it against the Simplex buddy. I have to say the tent peg surprised me. Looking forward to seeing more buddy. ATB MMMD
Looks not bad that vanquish mate does the job to by the looks ...Ok it looks like a red garrett but thats the market its aimed at ...ear phones and recharge batteries cool package 👍😀👌...how would you rate it against the simplex on the beach ?
my first machine was a Garrett and looks v similar. Q you asked about 11 12 on equinox the answer is basically yes buddy i don't go by the VDI on equinox really mines is all about the repeat-ability of the signal arron. how ever 11, 12 is hammy territory and small silver. hope you find the machine good who knows you may change from makro to minelab never say never 😂😂👍 GL & HH
Do you like it m8 is it silent can you please do some live digs next hunt like approaching targets etc thanks for sharing Gl&hh Thor 😁🏴stupid its no waterproof every machine should be in double aa batterys i love not having to buy them for simplex
Very good video and demonstration, from just a price point comparison the 440 would still be higher than the simplex, then you look at some of the specifications of the 440 and Simplex Minelab 440 $279.00 usd Simplex $254.15 usd Bluetooth Compatible No Bluetooth Compatible Yes Interchangeable Headphones No Interchangeable Headphones Yes Rechargeable System No Rechargeable System Yes Backlit Display No Backlit Display Yes Search Flashlight No Search Flashlight Yes Vibration Mode No Vibration Mode Yes Completely Waterproof No Completely Waterproof Yes People always want to compare the Simplex with more expensive models I tend to compare by price ie... what are you getting for money So you could spend $24.85 usd More for the Minelab 440 Or you could spend $24,85 usd Less for the Simplex Then you got to determine just by looking through product specifications and figure out what is going to give you more your your money spent. The minelab 440 might be a very good machine but if it is getting dark are you going to be able to view the display screen or even if you go into the woods? then the waterproof issue Just my opinion the minelab is lacking and more expensive.
Aaron before your video tell your viewers this metal detector doesn't have manual ground balance it's just automatic so you can't manually ground balance that unit tell your viewers that explain to them why is it so important to manually ground balance good luck
What's wrong the simplex , why do you need to spend another 400 quid , i don't understand this must have the newest gadget society if there ain't nothing wrong with the kit you have
Both machines will be used during the coming months, I want to see which is suited to the parks/fields and which is suited to the beach then I will be covered for any hunt.
That rubbery handle ( butanol ) is probably going to make your hand smell like vomit ( bile )once it starts to degrade, horrible stuff, same as what is on a lot of power tools. Not sure about the red colour, looks like a cheap chinese drill. Don't get me wrong, I like Minelab, my GM1000 is a weapon.
Good review I see that the batterys are made in china I hope the detector is not made in china. because i might not buy this detector if its a china product.. Hi Arron , good video and good unboxing and info , as with all new machines time will telllooking forward to more testing mate , ATB GL & HH Rob .
Nice one Aaron. Looking forward to seeing the vanquish in the wet sand. Am I right in there is no threshold on the Vanquish. ATB Neil.
Happy to see im not the only one getting tent pens. Nice machine thou

Great video arron! Looks like a nifty machine! Looking forward to more 😄 happy hunting fudge cake
Nice one arron mate you should do the vanquish vs the simplex 😉
My channel ADI WEJHEROWO 👍SIMPLEX THE BEST
Im used both.. Vanquish the best.. Simplex annoying.. Simplex win at air test only..

Great video Arron, Very much looing garrettesk though, But I suppose its a case of how it performs against the simplex ATB …. Dave
very interesting , would be very interested in seeing this 540 up against the simplex in real world tests, on land and beach and see how they compare
Nice one Arron, I lose track of how many detectors you have! Lol. Is it lighter than the simplex? Will you be doing a comparison of depth tests against the kruzer and simplex?
The Kruzer Boys deffo!! Yeah it’s almost the same weight
Great video mate and I agree I am not a fan of the look of it I feel it's a big step back for Minelab and they are not cheap machines compared to the Simplex which is also a much more professional looking machine. I look forward to seeing how you get on with it.
Looks like they cut the cost by not having lithium ion battery fitted... but it does look like its been modeled on the Garrett +1, nice review :)
What's a Garrett .
Looking forward to future reviews!
hey there South Coast Detecting.. what camera are you using? Looks good for close ups. Thanks in advance.. subbed

Thanks for the video of this on the beach
Enjoyed watching, interesting machine. But no it does not look like a Garrett haha😋😋
Thks for sharing bro🤜🏻🤛🏻

Well you’ve got to dig them all with a new machine. I’ll be using the 340 later. Cheers nice hunt.
How is the 340. I am thanking about getting the 440
7777vols I haven’t taken it out yet. I’m still getting used to the simplex I just bought. From what I’ve heard it’s a good machine.

Ribbed for her pleasure. You went there!😂 I’ve just got one of these, hoping it’s a step up from my Euroace.
Very informative Arron ♥
Thank you aaron
Does the $369 package come with the protective cover?
The vanquish 540 both packages come with box cover and coil cover
@@SouthCoastDetecting awesome, thanks for the quick reply. I'm picking one up this Saturday.
red ace 250 lmao think minelab could have put more effort into the design
Seems like u get quite about of stuff in the box
U usually get a second larger 12 inch coil with the 540,if you didn't get it you got ripped off 😂

Very good video and demonstration, from just a price point comparison the 440 would still be higher than the simplex, then you look at some of the specifications of the 440 and Simplex

People always want to compare the Simplex with more expensive models I tend to compare by price ie... what are you getting for money
So you could spend $24.85 usd More for the Minelab 440

Not as good value as the simplex and I don't think as good I was going to order one but went for another machine instead
Have you even tryed the Vanquish?
