Because I know I am going to have an amazing life one day. I know I'm going to tell my grandchildren that if they ever get into that situation, they can survive it. Because I did. This song has helped me through a lot. My friend and girlfriend sent it to me whenever I had a mood drop, or when they found out I was cutting and contemplating suicide. I cry every time I hear it and it has a really special place in my heart.
I used to enjoy this song purely for how it sounded. I Could easily see why people don't understand how this could genuinely "help" people. It never really helped me before. But It was when I allowed myself to relate to it and to take it in that it suddenly became so personal and i literally burst into tears lol. In my opinion you have to meet things like art and music half way for it to mean something to you. It won't just suddenly or innately have meaning for you unless you meet it halfway...

It's about fighting suicide and knowing that we all share the same struggle
when home quarantine was implemented i got full of uncertainty inside my mind. the guy i've met in the internet introduces me this song that actually saved me reminding me that he's always there to listen from all my grievance in this world. until one day, we stopped talking. i missed him so much. and every time i listened to this song i can hear his voice saying "you're not alone".

yeah 2016 and it still helps every day but sometimes it beings me back which might bring the feels heavy
I used to enjoy this song purely for how it sounded. I Could easily see why people don't understand how this could genuinely "help" people. It never really helped me before.
But It was when I allowed myself to relate to it and to take it in that it suddenly became so personal and i literally burst into tears lol. In my opinion you have to meet things like art and music half way for it to mean something to you. It won't just suddenly or innately have meaning for you unless you meet it halfway...
