Bumrah is the only bowler in the history of cricket Who can bowl “All his variations” That are “equal in the amount of demonstrated skill in a match” And are delivered with a “Full effort + full commitment + fully completed” action
6:20 Finally someone said it. Thanks for talking about that. It annoys me so much that these Aussies who called themselves "cricket experts" can't get over that hyperextension. Everytime they talk about Bumrah, they always talk about this thing to belittle him. It's in their nature. No matter how hard they try to ACT humble after such defeats, you can clearly see that arrogance and jealousy in them when they bring such things in discussion. They will never talk about his mindset, accuracy, line & length, his plan to trap & confuse batsmen. There are only few Aussie cricket experts who actually appreciate Indian players instead of trying to bring someone down.
Super thrilled as an Indian. Ngl i expected a tough start in Perth and Adelaide with a supposed comeback to a great end from Gabba to Sydney (a typical team India script in many test series) but my God have I been pleasantly surprised. And with India’s first choice XI soon returning it looks even more exciting, however, never writing off the Aussies completely (i hope they don’t follow that script this time around 💀).
I love Behram's point about Bumrah's hyperextension being emphasized too much in foreign broadcasts, this point was raised in Footmarks podcast with Jarrod Kimber and here. Good take that it's shown a bit too much and it takes away somewhat from his arsenal of skills.
Saad Bhai, last time India lost at either of MCG or SCG, Tendulkar, Dravid and Laxman were still part of the squad. Those two are the easier venues because a. MCG is closest to the Ranji Trophy pitches that we have during Jan-Feb, and SCG is we all know. So, Australia have scheduled this in decreasing order of difficulty. I expect a full strength India to go as equals of not favorites in those two venues.
enjoyed the discussion! Even in the first test, no one predicted India would win in the Perth Test. Australia hadn't played a test in over 9 months and lacked momentum, while India had nothing to lose and ended up winning, much like New Zealand did in India. For the upcoming pink ball test, many expect Australia to win easily, but remember, they lost to the West Indies in the last pink ball test. It should be an interesting match!
Can I just say I absolutely love your podcast. As someone from across the border I absolutely love your take on a game which is so loved specially in both nations . I really appreciate how your perspectives are neutral and extremely well informed which is so refreshing in the wave of really extreme and sometime click bait content. Also as a somewhat casual cricket watcher your take and knowledge has made my own viewing a better experience. Thank you and look forward to more!
Slow outfield ensured that a tired Australian team had to go and chase those balls so many times. That makes the 135 overs they fielded that much more difficult. This is similar to the BGT in ‘20-‘21 where India, thanks to pujara made them consistently field for more than 100 overs in every innings. Often without getting the whole Indian team out.
Arsenal is winning a title in the next 3 years let alone 5, i can bet my house on it (mostly because i live in a rented apartment, but still), Behram we're here for great cricket analysis not for Arsenal slander, full support to Sadi. COYG.
Total feels when DeafMango was talking about Bumrah. It was like we were in a mind sync when we witnessed Bumrah's magic, about how his arm hyperextension is just a small part of what makes him special. Btw, @DeafMango, in your next podcast with Jarrod, can you get his views on if Bumrah's action gives him so much advantage, does he forsee a permanent shift in how bowling actions will evolve, something similar to when they changed after the frontfoot no ball rule came on? Thanks mate, cheers and total Feels!
2:58 what does it mean? Though Ind did not win any WTC final which is decided by the single test match IND played all the finals and also in this cycle , team is on the top of the table

Peak Prime Steyn is almost equivalent to Malcolm Marshall and Dennis Lillee, completely ferocious, fast and unplayable. Peak bumrah can do magic like Steyn as he can move the ball in both ways, unplayable lengths, plethora of deceptive variations.
Bumrah cant compete Steyn in Test. But he is better all format bowler than Steyn..Just like Smith is better than kohli in test. But kohli is better all format batsman than Smith
This series will be a nightmare for Australia. The Australian board and players seem confused about the type of pitch to prepare for India. If they offer a bouncy, green pitch, Bumrah becomes a major factor. On the other hand, a flat pitch (pata pitch) will favour the Indian batsmen. This will be a daunting series for the Aussies. The final score line is likely to be 5-0 in favour of India. For Australia, the only highlight might be the revenue they earn, which could even surpass the England-Australia series. At the same time, it will be a treat for Indian audiences and true neutral cricket lovers.
This is such a brazenly ridiculous statement (in a good way) but ghee shakkar bro👍 I'm hoping for a cakewalk 4-1 allowing us to sneak through to the finals. But 5-0 practically sounds so so dreamy and overambitious. But hawa toh udi huwi hai bhai Aussies ki first match ke baad se, hum agar achha khelte rhe toh kuchh bhi ho skta hai

I Love him but calling him better than Wasim and Steyn is still a bit far maybe he will be as good as them but they have 400+ wickets and career Time matters Bumrah is at 180 and he has to take Twice the amount
I agree in quality he is absolutel ly in line with these two gre8 but still to be called ahead of these two specific bowlers he must have to take wickets in heaps consistently

51:52 i will still pick steyn bit above bumrah because he has really great pace, ferocious, intimidating fast bowler unplayable completely and his peak lasted for more than 6 years which is beyond anyone comprehension. Also Steyn faced much tougher sides, tougher mentally and technically astute batsman and a nag of taking their wickets for fun. Harshit Rana can clock up to high 140s btw. He bowled a barrage of short balls in later spells at 144-145ish. He hits the deck hard, so he is quick off the wicket as well. And he can bat as well. Can be a good no 8 average about 20-25.

Good analysis but just a correction Harshit was not bowling in mid 130’s Infact he was the quickest of all and was clocking 145 kmph 🔥
He did start the first innings at mid 130s but you are correct he ramped it up to mid 145s during the second innings!
Important thing is he has that physical ability to ramp up his pace as his accuracy is already decent@@Messicity469
