I was at Vogue Knitting Live in New York City this past weekend and Toft was vending there. I mentioned your name while speaking with the women at their booth and they both lit up and said that they knew you and that several others had stopped by and mentioned your name also. They said they plan to tell you how far you have reached out and spread the “Love of Toft”. The Knitting/Crochet/Crafting world is large and yet we are all connected. Thought you might like to know that, although you weren’t there with us, you were…
Ditto for me! Gave you a shoutout to Kerry Lord - she said they consider you part of the Toft team. I bought my first Toft kit and am looking forward to making a Toft sheep with Toft wool.
Just loving the shawl and sock dances - Mark is such a good sport!❤the colors for his shawl are perfect. Always a fun catch-up!
Bravo Mark! The shawl is great, and your dance was excellent. Have a good knitting/crochet/spinning week, Martyn!
Amazing shawl modelling from Mark. Can't wait to see his celebration dance when you finish his jumper. 😂
Hi Martyn, definitely endearing! I look forward to your weekly updates and how wonderful and exciting to see Mark with the shawl dance, it is perfect. It's such a challenge fitting the crafting into life and the wip balance, especially when there are so many fabulous patterns and disciplines! You mentioned different approaches to managing the wip pile? I'd love to hear more about this...good luck with the spinning...look forward to the update, thank you so much for your work it really is a joy! x
Just saw the shawl dance. Mark is indeed a good sport and the little wink was the cherry on top! Thanks for playing along, Mark!!💕
"Universal sign for tassle" had me crying! 😂
Mark has taken a big step forward … looks like he shyly is enjoying the shawl dance. 😮
Thanks for another great episode! The shawl and the shawl dancer are stunning. I am looking forward to your adventures at the fiber show and any content that you make. Have a great week!
Love Mark's dance, his wink most of all ... thank you Mark :)
Bless Mark. What a good sport! Please be sure to tell him thank you for his shawl catwalk.
I laughed out loud! Definitely laughing with you 😂 Marks shawl is gorgeous ❤ I’m watching After the Flood-very good xx
Love your videos, Martyn and always laughing with you and love the shawl dance. Love when Mark appears on the video too. I guessed you had 16 projects and wondered if you have a hidden project or two. LOL Have a great week and look forward to seeing your next video. 💜
Dear Martyn..what a joy you are!! I must tell you how much I enjoy having your weekly podcast to sit down with my project and a cup of tea!! Only 13 WIPs?…….I’ve got you beat by quite a few! My advice to enable more crafting (ALWAYS have a project ready to work on for every mood and situation….vanilla socks in a bag….shawl in a bag….another…you get the idea) if you’re sitting down and not doing what you’re paid for…CRAFT! Even 2 stitches will add up! (I have vanilla socks ready for waiting in lines or at appointments) Often for projects that require more focus (maybe Mark’s jumper) I actually schedule time! I think you should be proud of yourself…..look at all you have accomplished AND you spend the time and effort to show it all to us! (give that halo a good polish!) Look forward to our next visit! Please give Mark a BIG thank you for modeling his shawl! It’s beautiful! (And he’s pretty special too! Just like you)
I would have to live till at least 500 to finish all my wipes and all the things I’d love to make 😉😂🤣love the vlogs, really enjoy your friendly enthusiast vibe. Mark is a great sport, a big thanks to you both, enjoy the Abba show ❤x
I'm loving the weekly format Martyn I really look forward to it every week
Your videos are a total joy x
Love love all your projects!! Yes yes always start something new. I am going to try a brioche knit…. Never done that before… wish me luck!! Am making an Elvira bag just now though and 3 blankets…. And a few other things😅 have a great week. Can’t wait to see your spinning video!!
Hi Martyn - I love Mark's shawl; and the "shawl dance".
You are definitely endearing Martyn. Bring on all the WIPs I say! Mark's shawl is perfection as was his lovely modelling. I particularly enjoyed the tassle shimmy. Have a wonderful week until we all gather again xx
Mark is such a good sport!! Great dance!!
13 is my lucky number!! 🤣😂
No, REALLY!!! It is!!
I think I have as many WIPs too. 🙄
Love your progress! Marc's dance shows he enjoys his new shawl. I can't wait for the Argyle dance. Thank you for the video.
We just can't get enough of Mr. Toft! Ha
So fun to see the other side of Mark ❤. Darwin is coming right along. Hoping he’s finished soon. Thanks for giving us your time every week Martyn. 🤗
Absolutely great shawl dance❤
Love that Mark is so accomodating - love seeing him and thoroughly enjoy the dances!
Hi Martyn ....and Mark, too! I truly enjoy your " Weekly" podcasts!. You are always most inspiring ! Mark's shawl is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Well done👏 Mark is such a good sport !
Have fun working on your 13th WIP'S. Yes, you need to sleep and take care of yourself! Happy Knitting! 🧶
Marks shawl is beautiful.
What can I say that hasn’t been said already? Love the weeklies, love Mark's dance, love the chat, love YOU!!! Lots of WIP's? Who doesn’t? Well, me, temporarily. There is nothing on my needles except the never-finished sweater for my husband. This is very weird for me, just one project. 😬🧶
Loved Mark's shawl shimmy and wink. Sitting here knitting and chuckling at the antics😂❤
It’s funny because I was going to recommend a “Where are they now?” video but about the makes in your intro video. A “Where are they now?” about some older (almost forgotten?😂) WIPS is just as fun 🙂
I think you are madly endearing ! I love the weekly vlog. The more Martin the better.
Cudos to Mark he's a realy good sport 👍 just 13 ? That's not so bad... looking forward to next episode 🧶
Always a joy to watch your podcast! You inspire me to keep moving forward 😉
Thank you for all you do ❤
Oh wow. That shawl is quintessentially Mark for sure = the colors keep it elegant & his style. Darwin is already quite an accomplishment - fingers and all! It will be great to see it develop as you finish his outerwear and face. It's always fun to see what you're up to. Seems to me that you must choose the project that suits you when there's an opportunity to craft. Yes, I remember when it was well over 20 WIPs - you've made massive progress on getting that down to a more manageable number. Have a great time at ABBA!
Start away Martyn--- “it’ll all get done!!!”-- you are sososo lovable !!!! And very entertaining!!!!!
I’ve got the gold yarn Bo dragon too.. but not sure if I want to go with different colours, I just can’t decide… And your endearing 😉
That's me with the pink Bo... yay. Pink, Magenta, Ruby
Feeling creative…you could start a thing…the “sock hop” (old-fashioned kind of dance party in the US), “shawl shimmy,” “jumper hijinx.” 😂😂😂
Mark’s shawl is stunning and I loved the shawl dance! I actually laughed out loud when the fringe was “dancing” along. I’m loving this weekly format! Shorter but more often helps us keep track of what you’re working on, too.
ABBA voyage is awesome !! Blows your mind.
How about a Toft live, where we show off all our makes?
I am at unravel on the Friday, if I am brave enough to speak to you I will.
Hi Martyn. Love the spiral sock. The colours are great.
Mark, thank you. The smile that you helped come to me was so needed. Having a bit of a bad head time and you helped.
I needed this thirty minute break from the real world. A world I'm scared of atm.
Enjoy your weekend away and fingers crossed we get Spinuary.
Safe travels xxJane 🐑🌼
The shawl is beautiful. Mark did a wonderful job modeling it. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
Love love love Mark he is such a good sport. And looked gorgeous in his new shawl x
Love the weekly videos. Love love the shawl dance, Mark is great. I thought there is another sweater WIP?
🤣 It'll all get done! Yes. You need that as a t-shirt. Maybe it should be 'It'll all get done, just not sure when" 🤣🤣
Lovely as always to have a watch and catch up with you. And the 30 minutes every week is a lovely treat and fits in whilst I'm crafting. Thank you x
You are madly endearing, thanks ❤
Thank you for half an hour of escapism Martyn! Love these weekly vlogs. Such a joy to see how you have progressed with your wips as well as the new cast ons!! Really appreciate the time you spend recording them . And thank you to Mark for supporting you too!! Take care. 😃
Definitely beads for Bo! Always sparkles for Lunar New Year :) I lived in various Asian countries for years and Lunar New Year is always about bright lights, bright colours and an extra bit of pizzazz :) Will you be going to Wonder Wool this year! I am planning to travel from Germany to spend a marvellous day there with my mum (she lives in Wales) and it would be amazing to say hello to you :) x x x
the wink! sweet.
Loving the new weekly podcast. Mark is the perfect finished object dancer, can't wait for his dance when his jumper is finished, he needs to start practicing!!
Can I put in a request, I think Mark should do an interpretative dance when you finish Bo the Dragon, really embodying the Chinese dragon 🐉 😊
❤ and love Mark’s scaef video 😉😎
Hello martyn , you always make me smile, mark’s shawl is divine, the dance 🕺 very cute 🤩
Love your videos and the dancing, Mark has definitely got some awesome moves and I look forward to seeing more ❤
I started knitting shawl 😊
Excellent shawl dance, Mark!!
Love Mark’s dance! Better be careful; he’s going to have a cult following. He needs his own hashtag! LOL
Thank you for your videos, you are so entertaining. I enjoy watching your every one.
Martyn , your mark is amazing ,love it ❤❤❤
Thank you Mark-- you make a very good model!!! And LOVE your shawl-- great work Martyn!!!!
Thank you for introducing me to Gem and TLGG. She is an uh-mazing dyer and her customer service and responsiveness is unparalleled.
Love your podcasts!! Only found you a few weeks ago and catching up on older podcasts if yours. Just about to try my hand at spinning with a Turkush spindle and you've mentioned Spinuary(?) a couple of times but unsure where to find you on that? I need all the help and advice on spinning I can get 😂
So glad the Babette blanket has reappeared. I've womdered whatever happened to it. I loved your idea of random pulling colours out of project bags.
So reassuring to hear about all your wips - helps me feel much better about mine. I’m hoping that a podcaster will do a sleeping beauty KAL to help other crafters dig out and finish all projects that have been in hibernation for more than a year. My longest hibernating ( in a coma?!) wip I started before my daughter was born. She’s 29 ….
Lovely to see you again martyn. I am also joining in the TOFT crochet along for Bo too. I bought the red, yellow and teal version at the Stitch Festival back when it came out and shock horror it hasn't been made as yet. So I have ordered beads to add to it so it's nice and sparkly (only ordered 1 tube though as didn't realise it required 2 so need to get another one). I also couldn't resist buying the Golden dragon version as well so I have that as a beaded version, meaning I'm going to attempt to make 2 as I'm also travelling to Glasgow on the 17th Feb so I have lots of travel time to crochet :) Oh Marc did make me smile, that wink at the end! I will also see you at EAYF this year again, just trying to finalise accommodation as it's always lastminute with me haha. Got my tickets and the Big Stitch night ticket too!
Loving the weekly format! 13 wips isn't bad (she says as she's trying hard to repress a bad case of caston-itis.😎).
I’m always waiting for your next video-- and I have to say-- sometimes it takes to long to my next Martyn!!! Please keep it up-- Love Love Love the weekly videos-- Thank you!!!!!
Love this video, happy crafting ❤️❤️
Love marks Shawl my favourite muted colours he must be so pleased with it
Love the Mark dance !!!
Yay, I thought 13 so not too bad Martyn. Love these weekly vlogs - thank you and Mark - brilliant 😁⭐️
Love Mark’s dance and the shawl shimmy!
💙💙💙
Ok - Mark is adorable!! Love the wink at the end of his video. And, you did a fabulous job on his shawl. You are motivating to get moving and finish mine so I can wear it and wink at my husband! :->
Love the weekly blogs Martyn and I also love Mark and his shawl.❤
Finish Mark's jumper!
BTW Mark. Love the shawl shimmy x
Mark shure is a good sport.
My Bo the dragon kit just arrive. I'm so excited to get to do a CAL with Toft!! 😍
❤
Yes, and this is why we love you, Martyn 🎉! I laughed out loud when you said what I’d just said to the video. We know you mean well as the New Year begins…and things « just happen « But, I’m totally looking forward to the finishing of Mark’s vest. 🤞🏽💜🤞🏽💜🤞🏽💜
Loved the shawl dance too! Thanks, Mark! ❤
The weekly format is a treat but I am sure we all will understand if you need to skip a week. Thanks to Mark for his Shawl Shimmy! I had the pleasure of gong to Vogue Knitting Live in NY this past weekend and got to meet Irina of Fiberchats and Kerry Lord of Toft (and yes I could not resist it so I bought the Statue of Liberty kit that Toft had just file Vogue. It’s probably above my skill level but I will give it a shot!
Ahhh this is amazing to hear! So glad you got to meet Irina and Kerry - keep me posted with the Statue of Liberty and get in touch if I can help. I think there is a video for that project on Toft's TH-cam page as a tutorial!
Brioche knitting - I’m having trouble figuring out the yarn over part of the stitch. Any tricks or videos you found helpful. I’d be working flat aka a scarf.
Taking a break from my batch cooking and your video pops up! Happy crafter here. I am on 3rd colour of my tlgg advent so on track with that. Bit behind on my spinning but suffering with sinusitis so I am.giving myself a little grace x will be down near you on Wednesday watching Jesus Christ Superstar xx
Mark is amazing

Happy dreary gloomy monday from Ontario Canada...forgotten project what about the aran sweater for mark in the cream cotton..( omg i need a life)😂😂😂..i would love to see your flax sweater❤❤❤
