while it is true that the conditions do not affect the quality of the item (that is determined by the specific plant and location) the stats of the gathered item are affected meaning it will be lower on that item's tier spectrum aka 40-50 and get a 40. If you want to ignore the gathering conditions and still get the best stats on the item, there is a dish you get from interacting with the donation basket in the water something valley in kinglor (can't open the game to check the name atm). The camp is in the north east parth of the marshy area which itself is south east of kinglor. There is other food that marks purple and exquisite food without using na'vi senses too. And you can do a memory spot which gives you the buff for 30 min as well for free.
the dish is Relun's fish stew, you get it from the wetwood camp in waterway valley. it makes time of day and weather conditions irrelevant when harvesting (very useful for the materials that require hurricane conditions for maximum quality)
I have spent a lot of time exploring too. I love how much it emphasizes exploring and experimenting. I do however think that they missed the mark on basic gameplay features even if they nailed others that i consider less important. In a game where exploring is so important you move extremely slowly on foot. The ikran is faster but it does not feel fast enough to me not even during the dive. The flying is too simple and arcady. I would love it if it were more dynamic like in just cause. I hope they fix some of the quirks but even though it is not a bad game and I'm not saying it is, but the reviews are not wrong either. And it will affect long term survival of the game specially after the discovery phase is gone and we know where to find things
Are the exquisite items locked behind story progression? I just finished the mission to get your Ikran and anytime I look for materials all I ever find are superior.
If you inspect the plant, it will flat out tell you what rarity you will get from it when harvested. The purple glows just let's you know it's either purple or gold rarity.

Hi i’m dire need of help. how do i get hurricane weather? i’ve been passing time for like 5 hours total. i’m trying to collect pale canyon reeds for soleks heavy bow
Good guide. Also the conditions affects the stat roll. So saying you don't need perfect conditions is a little misleading. Youll still get exquisite but it wont have as high a roll on it.
Tbh I just go to the Navi vendors at each camp or settlement and hope they have what I want given most of the time each vendor has at least 1 or 2 exquisite items 💁♂️
I remember I accidentally entered that 20 base level when I was like level 4 and I couldn’t get out I don’t know why and it took me 4 months to finish it 😭😭😭 I finished the base being level 11
You can beat the laser ore facility at lvl 7 and 5 in coop use stealth and distractions to get though it. The only thing we couldn't kill was the mechs but the others were easy but we kept dying in one to 2 shots lol. The work around is as long as one person is alive you won't reset what you've done
When you go and look at gatherable materials in the Hunter guide, pay attention to the part where it says “rarer”. For example, if gold tree branches frequently spawn in the RAINFOREST when it RAINS in the NIGHT, make sure you go to a rainforest at night when it is raining to make sure you get gold quality. In this example, if you go when it is not raining or when it is in the day time, you may only find purple or green quality.
You might be in the wrong area. Some materials only grow higher quality in certain biomes. Look at it in your hunters guide and it should tell you where to find the higher quality ones. If that doesn't work then your game might be bugged but I'd look it up first 😭
wait shouldnt there be a small well whell on the left side of the screen wehn you ollect ressources, that helps you getting pristine status while harvesting

Press the right trigger A LITTLE and move the stick in different directions to see which direction has the least amount of vibration. After that, fully click the trigger and you should always get pristine. Not hard at all if you have even half a brain.
Is it possible to get the highest value of a design? For example, you craft the Kinglor Queen's Sting that is ranged from 30 to 110. But with the best materials you get only 59. That's 51 below 110. How to get the 110?'
Use the Hunter guide to find out which area they spawn in and just run around the map lol. Make sure you pin the wolves so they glow yellow when using your avatar sense.
the game doesn’t actually help you most of the time and it’s crazy how much they don’t care. finding requisite teeth is basically impossible and even if you’re on guided, it don’t do shit. no wonder this game is so hated
Go to dyers bowl (lake you see at the very beginning) and swim around to the little islands in it. If you use Navi senses and inspect the moss, it will tell you its rarity. If it’s pinned on the menu, all bruise moss will glow gold outline instead of default, so they’re easier to spot against the terrain.

I’m trying to collect exquisite Blue Cloud moss, it says in the hunters guide that exquisite should be between 97-107, but they are all coming up at 83, even during rain. Any idea why they’re not coming up at the level they’re supposed to be at?
Are you collecting them in both conditions and then you can scan before you pick and are they glowing in a purple-gold fashion and are you picking exquisite one as well

Each plant has a given rarity that it will drop, regardless of whether the conditions are met or not. The conditions affect where the item will sit in that 97-107 bracket. To see if it is exquisite or rare before harvesting just hit the inspect button during na'vi senses (on pc is middle mouse button) while mousing over the plant.

He's wrong that the conditions don't matter for stat rolls and he's wrong about how to get the most stats out of crafting. I wouldn't listen to this guy. Makes videos without actually understanding the game mechanics.
Something that I noticed while playing the game, is if you inspect the item it shows you the rarity without you having to harvest it

Moss is the hardest to get cause it 99% of the time only highlights the tree instead of the moss which is stupid.
I went to your exact location when it was raining and I only got fine quality... Got them harvested in pristine condition too

I don’t even know if there is a hurricane weather condition. Maybe it means the weather has to be a thunderstorm.
It's not really a hurricane it's just a heavy storm with lightning. So a thunderstorm. There's no big weather disasters
I could not find any superior or exquisite branches in those exact areas. Do you need to reach a specific level or quest completion first?

Exquisite Cave Root is a ballache to find!
Exquisite dense bone is even more ridiculous. There's no caves anywhere lol.

There are different types of the same material that are valued higher. Like some teeth are more valuable than others or types of bark
