@@MSGrantMusic No problem. You earned it. I watched another video of yours. Wow. You're better than I ever was, and in my memory, I was pretty good (ha, ha). Back in my HS days we played Buglers Holiday.
I'm even considering purchasing the arrangement. As a Scout Leader I have promoted the value of music to my scouts and those in units around me. We have collected a number of band (brass) students in this troop, and if I could get them to commit to a bit of practice, I think they could pull off this SSB, or one close to it. The solemn opening, crescendo, and dramatic soft ending with the complex chords is both beautiful and moving. As a serviceman I think of the fellows I once knew that didn't live to see their kids graduate, and the soft ending makes me think of them.
It is hard to find a great trumpet SSB. This one is the best I've found so far. Many of them are just over the top because in these times folks seem to like that. I found a really spectacular trombone (Army quartet) arrangement. The French Horn SSB (Army sextet) is also very good, but I prefer the T-bone one.
Music is such a blessing. I can still play hundreds of trumpet pieces from memory. I have leveraged my knowledge of music theory to learn two wildly different instruments, the NA Flute and the Mountain Dulcimer. I wish I could help everyone see the beauty of music as we do, as performers. Best of luck to you my friend.
