This is honestly the best video I’ve seen on brave wilderness with so much kindness with empathy. It’s heartbreaking the stray dog catastrophe not only in Costa Rica but across the world. Well done to the brave wilderness team providing this gorgeous boy a chance at life and a loving home. Hopefully you guys will work more closely with strays in your travels for wildlife and promote neutering and rescue from shelters!
What a sweet pup! Not even the slightest growl when Coyote petted him during his first feed! I SO wish I could get him! But... This time last year, I had a year old German Shepherd show up on our place, starving and dirty. He HAD to be Covid puppy... Somebody got him during during lock down and once things went back to "normal", it was time to get rid 5he extra mouth to feed. Hes SUPER smart, big and beautiful, and INSANELY LOYAL!!
My daughter told me to watch this because apparently, they adopted Rufus! He has a big loving family now, which includes a couple of other dogs and a cat.
Amazing job from the team and well done to Amanda for doing amazing effort to ensure that Rufus gets the right treatment and gets amazing care to get adopted soon! The power of internet is really great when people come together to help a cute animal! Looking forward to more updates and see Rufus being the happiest pooch with his new, loving family! You guys never cease to amaze me! I am so glad that he found you guys and that you were able to find someone to take care of him until he finds his forever home. Stray dogs and cats are such a problem all over the world and it is so so sad and frustrating. I have 5 rescue cats and 3 feral cats outside (plus the raccoons and opossums that show up and get fat) and I still feel like I am not doing enough. You guys are great for for helping Rufus and I really enjoyed this video. I teared up 🥹 when Mario said that he was tearing up. It was a bitter sweet moment. This is how you know these guys love animals, and love animals way more than any amount of money. They could have left the dog to get to their next destination or even to go home and rest, but if I saw correctly, they stayed extra time to make sure he had a home. Well done, coyote and team!

He also mentioned that they came across the dog while filming so if part of the other video included the dog, I pretty sure everyone would've been upset if they didn't do anything at all.
Hes so INCREDIBLY well socialized for a stray he IMMEDIATELY picked up on a name and everything and not gonna lie one of my favorite breeds if i wasnt already at doggo capacity id take him!!!

I feel like Rufus wasn’t always a wild dog, and instead used to be someone’s pet by the way he acts. A wild-born dog wouldn’t act like that, especially jumping up for the food bowl. Still sweet to see he found a new home!

Awh, this is kinda comparable to my kitten when i just got her. She was full of ticks, but ofc we removed them, or my mom did. Now we have a very big bond now, and. As im saying the world needs more people like you. ❤

Well there it is! Brave Wilderness team could adopt Rufus even if they couldn't take him with them in the 12 hour period before they had to go back to the states. I think that would have been one of the best outcomes for him since he found them in the jungle, they didn't find Rufus in the jungle. The dog chose, them over other human beings who might have come across him there.
This is kinda how I came to have 8 dogs, just finding them starving, bringing them home, giving some love, and bam. Bunch of really nice pups live with me lol

I think Rufus is adorable ,I have been a fan since I was 5. I have my own three dogs🐶 I Love Animals , I live in Montgomery, Texas and I am eleven years old, I Love Brave Wilderness.
I just messaged the center about adoption! He'd have a good life up here by me with all eight of my kids, wife, and two other dogs to play with! We'll see what happens!
People can do tons for homesless animals. In my country which is a regressed dictatorship, people have seen that the rancid regime isn't doing anything helpful for any living souls so they started neutering and vaccinating homeless cats and dogs out of their own income and pockets along with the ones they adopted. So thank you for bringing this into people's attentions that they do have responsibilities towards these poor animals that are now homeless due to the human race selfishly having made them unable to live in the wild and then destroying all the nature and anywhere where they could live peacefully. And it helps a ton if large numbers of people do their share in protecting these animals and preventing anymore animals being born to these kind of miserable lives on the streets or as "strays". A dog or a cat never belongs in the street uncared for.
I wanna tell a story how I met a stray dog So one day my dad was in his classroom,and after my class I was surprised that there was a puppy he was feeding I said "woah dad is that a puppy?" He said "yeah we are probably gonna take him home with us" I was very excited (btw I had 4 dogs) We brang him home with us,my dad made a dog house for him,I said "Soo what are we gonna name him?" My dad said "hmm....Oh! Zappy!" I said "that is a great name dad! Hello zappy welcome to the family" my brother came downstairs and saw the puppy,he was so happy he played with it,cuddle,more playing😂.Then after a few weeks......he died😢 we buried him somewhere..not sure...But may Zappys soul rest in peace...you were such a great dog zap...😢

It's so sad to see so many dogs and cats on the streets. They don't deserve that at all. When I visited mexico i found one and its so sad..we tried to give it food or water but it looked like it was starving to death and it was so skittish. It's either it's been abused or lost trust in our own humanity. It's so sad. Hope brave wilderness can make an organization to help all animals on the streets get homes
