I think retake servers is one of the very best training methods out there. you get lots of different scenarios, learn how to use util without lineups, you learn to apply proper crosshairplacement in the heat of battle and compared to actual matches you have very little downtime (which still gives you time to think about what you maybe did wrong)
Mentors are people that are invaluable. I play only casually with my friends after work who all have level 10 and played in some teams, and in tournaments. The were always giving me advices in what I did in every situation wrong. I recently played in a match where in enemy were 2 members of Vitality with 3.5k elo and 3 lvl 10 with 2k-2.5k elo, and I was able to compete like an even player, finishing in the middle of the table, despite managing full time job, uni, and my personal projects on a side.
@@owlfury-beastif I queue up straight after dming for like an hour I always play like I'm super retarded but if take a 10 min break I play a lot better and often dominate my lvl 6 lobbies

DM just isn't for some people. I'm level 10 playing in ESEA Main and I find that I suck HARD at DMing. I get into games and I smash people, but in DM I get rolled. The conditions are just so far removed from an actual match of CS that I mentally consider DM to be less of a warmup or method of practice, and I think of it instead as a "Video game espresso shot" meant purely to get my brain and reactions re-adjusted to non-IRL stuff.
kz in my opion could be rated higher. one big factor about kz is it influences feeling for the mouse and game, which later will even echo on aiming as your arm and hand will be more relaxed.
I think training KZ is more important for experienced players. No doubt it would benefit anyone to practice, but what a new player would get from it is far less than an experienced one. But that’s just my opinion.
yeah, i found kz to be important too if my movement is stiff it affect my aim the only downside is practicing kz isn't fun doing it alone and there's no kz server in my area :(
i believe aim trainers are both S tier and like D tier, let me explain: aim trainers are genuinely the most effecient way to get better aim, on the condition that the practice you do is intentional amd anylitical. The footage shown in the video in this case is one of the WORST WAYS to use aim trainers and a very common mistake. for aim trainers to be effective you need to play very hard and frustrating scenarios, and be as intentional with each shot as possible (being super focussed and careful with each shot will feel kind of pointless but i will explain why later) which will definitely turn off a lot of people but is how this kind of practice can be very intentional hard and frustrating scenarios like fast moving targets and super small targets put you under a lot of stress, a bit over the optimal level for learning. However after a few weeks of playing these exact hard scenarios the stress levels will go down to be at that optimal level. This releases a lot of dopamine in your brain which is the pleasure hormone but its also the learning hormone, it tells you brain to better take note of this event so that it can replicate it again which will in turn improve your aim. basucally as you spend time, you go from using your energy to do hard scenarios and stay focussed to anylizing each shot and imporving the mental image in your brain of how and when shots will hit. obviously its not very inclusive of other cs mechanics but if your aim is struggling/holding you back aim trainers can give you a lot of skill boost given some time investment before by extension this "hard to hit targets is better" also applies to aimbots and other workshop maps in cs so if they are also really good if they include that (mainly moving targets) my only problem is the inherent weapon spread in cs will give you less feedback and the movement inacc will give newer players a harder time as its much harder to tell whether you missed a shot because of aim or because of bad movement. tldr: -super hard and frustrating aim training is good as it releases dopamine which makes you "learn aiming" faster -cs2 workshop maps give less feedback for specifically aiming so they are slightly less effecient -aim trainers need a time investment of time with little to no improvement is needed into aim trainers before you see a skill boost. -accessability: 5-6 (initial time investment) -effeciency: 9-10 -importance: depends on player (if their weakness is aim i would give this a higher score) overall tho great video and i hope this essay was at least a meaningful read if you got all the way down here happy fragging
@@sokoowskitosmrud6630 this just means that you have an imbalance in your training routine and you need to put more time into analyzing your gameplay rather than working on your mechanics. it doesn't disprove any benefits of aim trainers.
Even though ROI on tracking training is low I still do it, when spectating others you can see that average player even at higher levels struggles with tracking. And it makes me cringe. That's often because of low sens playstyle but mostly it's because lack of training

Thanks man! I'm going to grind from level 3 to level 10....there are a lot of smurfs in faceit, but I've been practicing religiously when I can, because I want to get to level 10, host/coach a team, and then hopefully have the team win tournaments. I didn't realize that I was towards the pinnacle of mastering CS. The last ~10% is the top of the pyramid and I wasn't learning, studying, training, etc., to have those skills. Now I do. I don't really like the recoil control/spray pattern map. After practicing my spray patterns for a bit, the lack of the ability to prevent the weapon model from recoiling and not being able to turn off muzzle flashes (that I know of), will throw off where I think I need to move my spray. I think I have more feedback on being able to get 3k's with spray transfers from my games to know that I probably don't need to practice it as much. I also prefer practicing on a local offline server with bullet impacts marked, so I can just shoot at walls and practice my accuracy. Watching high level play is still helpful to low level players, I just don't play competitive matches much, but that's about to change. When I am in a match, I know if I am with a teammate in an area of the map, we need to be watching angles, corners, listening for sounds, and cooperating to set up a crossfire, double peek, or a instant trade. But...many low elo players don't play cs as intended....and then there are so many more low level elo players that are smurfs....if I started playing more faceit matches again, people would call me a smurf, despite me having only one faceit account
I play a lot of community DM (32k kills on my AK - post yours) and it improves your aim and reflexes a lot but also teaches a really bad play style. All you do is hold W and shoot at everything that moves. This gets you killed often in MM
i just started a few months ago, can someone explain to me what community deathmatch is? is it different with the deathmatch on cs2 app or just the same?
Faceit should not be higher than B Tier. Most players watching this video probably have faceit below level 10, and faceit is 80% of the games against smurfs. Effectiveness is a maximum of 5 points. Still better than mm or premier, but still crap and can't be denied.
I used leetify for a long time when that was still around and working. Now I use scopegg. But now I really only consider my HLTV rating. Thanks for watching!
Me personally, I watched Stewie2K a lot. But I recommend going on twitch or whatever streaming platform you use and find someone from your region. Hope this helps.
Watch a high elo player that typically plays the same role on T side that you do...or if you're lacking in one aspect of the game, I can second most pro streams, because you will see god lineups for flashes you haven't seen that work better than the ones people think do the job, and in general if you're also watching their minimap and taking notes on what is happening play by play, you will improve as a player, so long as you properly implement what they do, at the right time in your matches
I disagree that demos are equal importance to playing matches, playing matches is dynamic teaching that allows you to learn specifically from your own playstyle
Pro-tip: Premier is damn near cheater-free if you stay under 20K rating. At least in my experience. More than Faceit, but not nearly as much as a couple months ago. I assume the same goes for map-specific MM but I don't know at which rank the cheaters start becoming way too common to play the game.
bro u are 2.7k what the fuck do you expect, your improvements at that level has become so miniscule the gap is more and more becoming about you being one of those people willing to sacrifice enough and play & practice all day to be 3k+ elo
They are a lot of cheater on faceit, they are just legit hacking so it's hard for faceit to caught them, for exemple wonderfully, so imagine at lower elo like on 2k 2k5 the amount of ppl using radar hack or very low fov aimbot
Some regions may not have the population to support retake servers or other community servers like such. And Valve DM servers had a lower accessibility due to bot lobbies that are becoming more common.

The downsides of retakes I noticed is that Ts always play unrealistically aggressive and usually have more utility than in real post-plants
Retakes is a fun high octane gamemode but doesn't really match any of my post plants
