Keep in mind that all of the battery bank companies skew their Ah ratings based on voltage. A 3600 'mAh' battery in a 5 volt power bank is NOT 3600. It's only 3600 if you draw it at 3.7 volts. So YMMV, where M is actually amperage :)
Something like this can be a life saver in hvac work.. sometimes the sites do not have reliable power or easy access to power. I had used a 2kw honda for many years and it is still running with probably few thousand hours on it. I had to rebuild it once. But with this there would be no dealin with gasoline and engine oil & it would make no noise no fumes. And can be charged in my truck. Also capable of running things like a vaccum pump or a recovery pump or even a drill with softstart.
I have the same unit and my gripe is that if they give me 100 W panel I should be bringing in 100 W and it never goes past 44 W! The solar panels are beautiful they’re heavy they look well-made but they’re crap
I’m not impressed with solar panels, they have to be absolutely perfectly aligned to the sun. It has to be a bright day no clouds and even then you usually lucky if you can get 80% of what they rated for.
I had a window replacement delivered via Fedex, and when it got to my local branch it was damaged 8x's. Eventually they sent it to my local home depot freight ok.
Are you talking about this particular power station or any in general? I mean, if you want to do destructive testing, you can puncture the battery and see if it burst into flames. If it doesn’t, then it’s a lipo4 from what I’ve heard.
That seems like a very solid product, although I can't deny having some misgivings about the brand name, since it could be pronounced as "oops". :-P More seriously...does it have a bidirectional USB-C port from which you can charge the power station? If so, can you combine that with the solar panels, wall adapter or maybe even all three? You can get a USB-C "PD" trigger to request the higher voltages from USB-C ports that can supply them.
The power brick gets so hot. It feels like it’s gonna melt so you have to put a fan on it when you charge it. The solar panels are crap because they only give you half of the wattage that they say they are and I will never buy another one.
Agreed. But that's about what time I got home through the week otherwise the weekend was the only other time to record and sometimes the weather would not cooperate.
@@HVACRSurvival - I realize you probably were trying to get this done and had to do it anyway, but of course it is a tough time to get a decent solar input, so my comment was trying to be some "wry humor", not a real criticism. I appreciate anyone able to do these videos and give us information.
No offense taken, I was a generator tech first then got into the solar/battery power station. So I'm still learning the things to look for. Thanks for watching!
I always enjoy these videos that you do. Nice change of pace and your very thorough. Thanks Rick.
I've done that with the bulb, and that makes sense on the hot water. But this cooler was 90° when I opened it up.

All true comments👍👍. & The lipo battery has 2500-3500 charge cycles.
@@HVACRSurvival it is Lifepo4. Lipo would have 600cycles. They are different chemistry and energy density.
Yeah lithium phosphates what it is

I HATE FED-Ex
Do you ever want to leave Ohio? All my extended family lives there and I can't say I like it that much when I visit
I would but the wife likes her job and then there's the family thing that screws it all up.
@@HVACRSurvivalRick move to Florida!!
Seems like a pretty good product
What’s your recommendation on the generator to buy I got the flashlight that you recommended and love it my EDC thank’s for the video
Gas generator or electric power station?
@@HVACRSurvival thanks
@@eastcoast186he’s asking you which type are you looking to purchase.
Is there anyway to verify it's LiPO4? BTW, Thank you for great in-depth analysis!

@@HVACRSurvival I meant this power station. The price is an incredible deal for an LiPO4 and I was just wondering if anyone verified
I haven’t taken it apart but they were honest on all the other specs so I feel confident it’s what they say it is.

It does not appear to have by directional USB charging.
What went through my mind when I read it was Mary Oneida Toups, and I was wondering what kind of voudoun was in this thing :)

Reviews of owners all say Oupes customer service is terrible 😮
No thanks
I’ve never needed service so I can’t say much about it.
LOL, 5 pm is not a good time to set up solar panels.
