I want to fix my own phone. Is it necessary that i purchase a heat gun? Or were you able to do this without one?
It’s recommended so the screen glue becomes lose and it will be easier to remove
From one repair tech to another, thank you for the repair guide! If I may, I would like to provide a little feedback. The very top shield should be removed, or at least one of the screws on it as a part of the middle shield is secured under it and it looks like both you and I myself did slightly damage that shield, which isn't the end of the world, we techs make mistakes all of the time but there's always ways to prevent them. Secondly while you were applying the adhesive, it appeared that you covered the ear speaker with it. All in all, it was a good guide!

I wish I had read this before I changed my glass. I also broke off two screw holes at the top of the cover plate.
Ah, also just did the same with mine-- those two little screws were tricky, everything seemed to go back together just fine otherwise though!

Great video. To the point with no bs. I found that I got the LCD ribbon cable through without removing the lower panel. I slid it out at a 45 deg angle and it came out easily. Easiest repair I've done so far. Thanks.

Which ribbon cable is 4 the touch screen 2 work I threw my phone up against the wall it was n a Kase and didn't crack one bit and I had the glass screen protector on it it didn't crack or damage it just stopped working as far as the touch mode go and I can answer calls with my headset but before I go to repair it or pay for it already have the back cover off what should I do

Awesome video. Can I ask where you ordered the replacement kit from? So many on amazon. And secondly, I see they sell the screen replacement with and without frame. Is it recommended to buy the screen replacement with frame for even smoother installation? Seems like it would be a no brainer?
I would recommend with the frame , and check eBay , Amazon might a little more expensive

My a10e has a glitchy screen with white streaks, would replacing the screen fix the problem? I bought it used and I don't quite know how it broke.
this is what happened to me as well. i barely came back form highschool class and suddenly it did the white steaks and not be able to touch i thought ti was water damage but i relized my phone had no water near it
Yes replacing the screen would fix it.

No you don't you can use super glue aswell

The screen is an assembly screen so it comes the LCD and digitizer together .
Do you know if it's possible to upgrade the camera lens on this cell?
What I did to remove my screen was to put my finger in the front speaker above the camera and go all the way around or use a guitar pick but a pocket knife would be the best option
I tried this when i did it and omg it just ruined my phone even tho i was super careful.

Sm-a102u and 105 are the same screens ? Because there is no a102u screens on ebay or anywhere else
I’m not sure if they are but you want to make sure the serial number matches. It could be the same part.

I think you can, but you need a lcd lamination machine which is a lot more money and trouble then just replacing the whole assembly.

Yes it does fit, our screens we get them from a whole sale company that sells us screens from my job, but you can also purchase them from EBay, but make sure to read the description and the check the seller rating before buying. I hope that helps.

yes replace the glass but you can let a phone Dr. look a it and not fix it let them tell you what's wrong with it lol and you do the easy repairs your self

If you buy a sscreen replacement on amazon it will come with what you need to replace it.

You do need the glue if you don’t use it the screen will fall out

Do you know the exact model number of your phone ?? You have to make sure you order the right part by ordering the one for the exact model number for your phone

You can buy it from Retailer but make sure it has the same model number as your device.
Where can you by the A10E screen? So far most sites are out of stock.

You want to look for the assembly screen , which comes and digitizer and the lcd together as one part. Don’t get just the glass.

You can separate the glass and the LCD but I find it very and risky that's why I replace all.

No. I accidentally bought the a10 replacement instead of a10e for my daughter's phone and the a10 is over half an inch longer.

you broke the the corner of top part of the ribbon connector cover by not removing the top cover with antenna first I did the same mistake

EDIT: Popped the back casing off the “a10e” I’m working on and clear as day says ‘A20e, A202f’ on the ribbon cable, hopefully this opens up options for some. Looks like average cost is ~$60, up on eBay & aliexpress. Still cheaper than $79 plus shipping to Samsung. CHECK YOUR RIBBON CABLE FIRST, it might say 102D/J in which case they are not identical (or so I’ve been told) Not posting links cuz I don’t want to steer anyone wrong, just putting as much info out as I can.
-Seems the a20e also has a similar screen, and there are sellers on eBay and aliexpress selling them as a10e/a102u replacements. Can anyone confirm they are identical ribbon cables? I don’t know where one would access schematics, or even the part number Samsung uses for the specific screen? Prices range from $40-$90 if no one else has I might bite the bullet and report my results. Just trying to get this phone fixed for a friend at work. Maybe I have all the information and I’m not smart enough to see it.-
The a20 is a bigger screen make sure you are buying the right one

Bruh I that to reorder this screen many times and somehow it's too fragile and every time I place the new screen it doesnt stick unless you pressure it but after pressure it gives the screen lines like wtf I'm I suppose to do?
It could be the quality of the screens that you order are poor , try to look for premium screens and read the description on the item before purchasing to make sure you are getting a good quality. I hope this helps good luck
