I realize this post is two years old... Yumi Zouma are, in fact, awesome, but if the whole "this music is deeply nostalgic even though I've never heard it before" thing is for you, also try Mint Julep and Postiljonen.
This is exactly how I feel as soon as a listen to cool for second it brought back memories from the mid to late 2000s when I was listening indie music which was very popular at the time. I thought it was just me.
This band is exactly what music needed. Ethereal, airy, refreshing, consistent.......I can go on and on. This is by far my favorite band today. Criminally underrated future legends.

her son dancing on the beach gets me everytime ! as a dad to a 4 and half year old boy, this song makes me feel like shes talking about how quickly you are heroes and cool for them when they re young and how quickly that changes too so you're literally just "cool for a second" :( in the end though he looks back at his mom with love and they laugh and fall asleep together like best friends. magical

A band hasn't hit me in the feelz like this since Peripheral Vision album. I can't wait to see you all again! Yumi Zuoma can literally do no wrong. They have held my song of the year for three years in a row.

Yumi Zouma is a NZ artist that deserves global attention. 'Cool For A Second' is statement that does not reflect my love for their music, because they were definitely 'cool for several hours'. Not only is their sound polished to fine perfection, with vocals in vain of Moloko meets Echosmith, but the synths too give it a tinge of Stranger Things nostalgia. I could (and have binged) watch their French Cinema music videos for hours. A délicieuse body of work offered!
How does this band not have millions of views? I’ve been in love with this band since 2015 when they played at SXSW.
