    What a hardy people, what a hard life yet no complaining. Just getting on with it and I take my hat off to them, I couldn't imagine having to live like that in those conditions and it makes what we regard as everyday problems mundane & trivial.

    Very informative but only part that was out of line was you going in suddenly to video tape the woman bathing. They were so shocked n she crouched to cover herself. This is clearly crossing the line. You didn't need to see or show that.. just mentioning would sufice wouldn't it? Do correct me if I'm wrong.

    • @brendaann727
      @brendaann727 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      You are not wrong I agree with you, these videos are wonderful & informative, but this young woman clearly felt violated and her privacy invaded. For her sake that part should be taken out. Otherwise what are you teaching her? That all her familly did nothing while strangers invaded her privacy. She may never feel safe again, & it could lead to her being taken advantage of by others somewhere down the road. Please don't do this to her.

    • @poppyflowers7897
      @poppyflowers7897 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      I agree, I was very shocked and concerned for her especially if these are modest people who rarely show their bodies to anyone. I would hope the videographers would sacrifice their views to re-edit and upload a new video to protect this woman from the ogling of the outside world. Not appropriate for us to see.

    • @hblask4192

      Actually that part was from a "documentary like" movie, I've seen it, it's about arrange marriage but it's a love story. So the woman was a paid actress and that part was supposed to be about the lack of privacy in the tent: it's the night she arrives in her new husband's family: her mother-in-law help her to bath and someone enter the tent so she's surprised and shy, it's to show how there is no intimacy for her. After that it's about how they need to be quiet on their wedding night because they all sleep in the same tent so... you know, with in laws, parents grandparents and kids around. Later in the movie, they fell in love.
      The movies says that even if they have the reputation of being very prude (no sex no cheating), they are actually very open about it since everyone hear others doing it but also that cheating is very common.

    Too many unanswered questions I have:
    How they poop and when and where if they go that length of trouble peeing I can imagine when they poop, do they carry a bucket inside their clothing, do they emptied right away or they hold it inside their clothing like their pee???
    How they wipe if doesn’t wipe do they smell horrible among their body odors from not having showers and normal hygiene?
    Is just too much for me these ppl live still the same like ppl from ice ages millions of years ago.
    Do these ppl know there’s evolved civilization now?
    My admiration and respect for ppl like these to live lives the way they do. ♥️❤️

    That's so funny !
    Why take the chance to die going outside to urinate when you bring the urine back inside afterward ?
    Am I the only one to feel it's a bit inconsistent ?
    Or maybe was it a one time only thing because the women needed the urine at this precise time to soften the reindeer skin ?

    • @patrushevs_stories
      @patrushevs_stories  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      in their religion it's inappropriate to urinate inside the chum. this making choum dirty in terms of their beliefs.

    • @monsterlisa3167
      @monsterlisa3167 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It is not the urine--it's the act of urinating. That urine has many utilitarian functions and is not discarded. Common sense says it's the act. Think about it:
      people in the act of urinating can't always control the direction,volume,force of the urine or even the sound--some people's sound like a water hose of a loud water fall. Are you still confused?

    • @beatricehorem9859
      @beatricehorem9859 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@monsterlisa3167 I'm sorry to say I wasn't confused. Keep your words in check, please. I just thought the contradiction was funny.
      I can understand what you're saying even if it's a tad hypocrite : having children means people make love while in the same chum as others. Unless they go outside under 50° for this too ?
      After that urinating seems not to be such a big taboo.
      But to each one its own habits. I wasn't criticising anybody, I know to show respect to anyone on Earth.
      Agressive much ?

      I'm glad somebody else in the comments noticed this! Unfortunately this is the attitude of patriarchal misogynistic domineering cultures. (not only this one, either!) Got to protect that uterus from imaginary dangers ! After all, the only use for a woman is to spit out kids. She's only worth as much as her uterus. If she can't have kids she gets thrown out into the snow to die because she's considered useless. Today people know better and don't think this way, but the fact that these people think this way shows you how backwards they still are. Sad.

We were also taught that the Eskimos (now called Inuit) rubbed noses together instead of kissing with the lips. Probably false.
