Fulfilling and managing complex sales orders can be time consuming, complicated, and difficult to track. With Advanced Order Management, or AOM, from Salesforce CPQ, teams can simplify this process into a single system to create accurate data that sales, fulfillment, and finance can trust. With AOM, you can create multiple sales orders from a single quote, making it perfect for teams that sell to large, multinational customers with parent/child relationships, provision or fulfill in multiple systems, or manage split sales orders that ship on different dates or to multiple locations.
Here are 3 ways to simplify fulfillment for complex sales orders with Advanced Order Management from Salesforce CPQ.
Automate the fulfillment and provisioning process, while respecting unique revenue recognition rules. Sometimes, a single quote needs to be split into multiple sales orders and billed to separate entities. For example, a single quote for software and services must be split into two orders: one for the software, billed immediately to the customer’s parent company, and one for services, billed on a future date directly to the customer.
When given a set of parameters - like a product family - AOM automatically splits the single quote into multiple sales orders that can be billed and fulfilled separately.
For some types of orders - like services - a future activation date will need to be set to begin the revenue recognition processes when the service is completed. With AOM, you can set activation dates at the sales order level for all products, or at the product level within an order - simplifying the revenue recognition process by ensuring that the transaction price and delivery date are accurately tracked for each product and service sold.
Simplify delivery to multiple locations. Sometimes, orders must ship to multiple locations, like when a parent company is purchasing on behalf of a subsidiary or when a company’s global headquarters needs products shipped to their offices around the country.
Here a sales rep has created a single quote for a customer with multiple locations. When the deal closes, AOM can automatically separate the quote into orders with unique billing or shipping addresses, enabling accurate tax calculations based on the shipping locations.
The sales order data can then pass to ERP or fulfillment systems while the products remain on a single customer contract and invoice within Salesforce.
Split quotes into multiple orders based on your customer's specific needs. With AOM, it's easy to split a quote into multiple orders with various shipping locations and delivery dates, even if you don't have all of the details at the time of signing.
Sales operators have the flexibility to split sales orders by creating a shell order from the quote, choosing a start date to activate revenue recognition, and then adding the products and/or services.
When the customer is ready to order a second stage of products or services, the Order Operations User can create a new sales order under the same quote. This new order can have its own start date, billing and shipping addresses, and can even be billed to a different entity.
When customers place multiple sales orders under the same quote, Salesforce CPQ keeps track of each one - ensuring customers are billed for the same amount they were quoted.
Thanks to Advanced Order Management, you can say goodbye to dual data entry and enjoy simpler integration with your ERP and smoother financial operations overall.

I am unable to create order when I check the Quote 'ordered' programatically.
Can some one let me know the issue, please?
