שמעון סיבוני - "פאברוטי היהודי"
שמעון סיבוני נולד בקזבלנקה, מרוקו.
אביו, אלברט ז"ל, היה חזן פייטן ומורה לשירת תהילים בסגנון ספרדי, שהטביע את חותמו על הקהילה היהודית במרוקו.
"אחרי דוד המלך - אתה הוא המלך של התהילים", אמר עליו ר' דוד בוזגלו, גדול פייטני מרוקו.
שמעון גדל על ברכי אביו, והתמחה בכל סגנונות הפייטנות והשירה היהודית. הוא החל להופיע בטקסי בר מצווה וחתונות, ועד מהרה התפרסם בזכות יכולתו הווקאלית המרשימה והדיוק שלו בביצוע.
בשנים האחרונות הופיע סיבוני בכל רחבי העולם: צרפת, אנגליה, ספרד, מרוקו, ארצות הברית , ונצואלה, קנדה ובמדינות נוספות.
הוא הופיע יחד עם גדולי הפייטנים והזמרים היהודים בעולם כסמי אל מגרבי ז"ל וג'ו עמאר ז"ל ויבדל"א ר' חיים לוק, אמיל זריהן ליאור אלמליח ואנריקו מסיאס.
סיבוני ידוע כמומחה לשירה אופראית המשלבת חזנות יהודית ואלמנטים של פלמנקו ספרדי.

Shimon Meir Sibony was born in Casablanca, Morocco.
His father, Albert Sibony of blessed Memory, was a Cantor, and a choir teacher.
He taught the psalms of David, in a Spanish style that left his trademark in the whole of the jewish community in Morocco.
“AFTER KING DAVID, YOU ARE THE KING OF PSALMS”.
Was said about him by R. David Bouzaglo of blessed memory, a world renowned cantor in Morocco.
Shimon grew up and followed on his father's footsteps, specializing in all styles of poetry and music.
In recent years Sibony has appeared all over the world: France, England, Spain, Morocco, the United States, Venezuela, Canada and other countries.
With artists Emile Zrihan, Lior Elmaliach and Enrico Macias.
Sibony is known as an opera and poetry singer that combines Jewish cantorial and elements of Spanish flamenco.
