You seem to grind better results in tournaments Ethan, looks like your heads in a better space too in tournament settings, less tilt, less trying to make constant speculative moves to get your losses back
Grind? Flip fest doesn't seem like grinding. Pure luck
Yeah I think you're being results oriented. Had he lost those flips he would have been out super early and no one would say that he played well. Seems like he got lucky. He even said he Sun ran so I don't think he's necessarily playing great it's just he's not being put to the test
Better results? He’s buried in tourneys
Must be nice to run this pure..wow
Just ran good in this one
Wouldn't be a rampage vlog without a senseless punt 😂
I don’t get it hasn’t he figured that out? He’s a good aggressive player but he can’t help but punt
The last hand river shove is a 100% Grade-A pure punt. We're basically only ever getting called by hands that beat us after villain's line (has called a check-raise, and then leads into the check-raiser on turn with a "please raise me"-sizing, not really even a blocker bet sizing). When he put that 1/10thpot in, nearly every alarm-bell in my brain went off, and the rest went off when he flats our raise. This feels like another scenario where the guy likely knew you and your image, and played it back at you for max-punishment. KK is basically a bluff-catcher at that point. Check-back river 100%
*Small value bet is acceptable if intending on folding to raise* only thing I’d change about what you said
@@jamesgernhart1093 Occasionally maybe, but I feel with this line, villain will have very little value left in their range to target holding KK (unless they're extremely bad or creative, they are NOT playing something like JT/J7/T7 this way). With the previous action, we're either already crushing them (ex. AdJs) and they fold to any size bet, or are way behind (ex. flush) and we're lighting chips on fire.
VB also opens door for villain to check-raise again and possibly blow us off value. River should just be a check-back. If we had AdAx I think there's more value to attack since we block nut-flush, but with just Kd, the nut flush is still available to villain's represented range. We should pot-control river with just two-pair on that board and previous-action.
@jamesgernhart1093 small value bet only opens you up to get repaired by better. Very few retailers bluffs after that runout. Hardly any value to be found here I think. Just my two cents lol
Of course u can get value by a small value bet on river. Many JX calls here. Think it`s a pretty clear bet/fold decision. I agree that shove is a 100% Punt
You should become a poker pro you are awesome
Last hand was a massive overplay.
Yup any check raise on a flush flop should sound off alarms in your head, but Rampage was playing well so I get how hard it was to fold KK
@@Jake-ne5ooits not the fact he folded, its the all in on the river that was a bad move
The time banks were nasty lol
Easy spot to bet half pot for value and fold to any raise or jam
So lose 300k and not 1.2 mil. Massive mistake
Hi Rampage. You asked for my comment about the KhKd hand. I am not a pro. Back in the day (before 10/2006). I would watch nose bleed cash games on PS non-stop to try to learn something. The one thing I remember was whenever there was a flush board or a paired board, the super pros would proceed with caution. I know it sounds simple, but that was my thought when you asked for my view. GL Sir.
Why would anyone ask for your comment? Also, no fucking shit? BREAKING NEWS, THE sky is blue, water is wet. You don't have to be a pro to fucking play a flushed board or a paired board cautiously.
What Rampage did on the river was SUPER punty. He raises turn, gets called. WHAT do you fucking think the villian is going to call you with? If he missed, he folds, if he's slow playing, you're losing.
This is typical Rampage bullshit. Get far because slaps the deck harder than black mommas slap their kids, then pretends he's good. Only a true degen gives up 25% of what I assume is a HUGE chip stack going into the Final table.
He didn't ask.
Wow Ethan, deleting comments??
Here's a repeat:

Go back in the video... he did ask what did everyone think. So his opinion is valid. @PopTartLee
Drinking game: take a shot everytime rampage says sun running
On the last KKs hand, the opponent leads 40k bet (10%) of the pot on the turn. That should have been alarm bells.
Leads AFTER calling a check-raise too. So many alarm bells should've been going off.
No this is just a result oriented thinking. People need to stop with these “tells”. The 10% bet can easily be a naked Ad trying to get to a cheap river after his c/r on flop gets called.
@@NosirtI was thinking the same when he bet 40k that he wanted to get to the river with a naked A of diamonds.
@@Nosirt it could be, so what would the river shove by Rampage achieve in this case?
Take a drink every time he says sun run. Just kidding don't do that you'll die
This is one of the best tournaments going down at the aria each year getting better.. it’s like a small WSOP main event type of feel🔥🔥
I can’t believe you fell for the time bank tank on the flush floor 💀 😂 You’re a good sport about it though
Floor ?
😂I thoight the same thing haha. At worst it was a baby flush, as soon as I heard him say all in I winced. His play and game looks a lot better overall the last couple tournaments though, glad to see him playing better poker. Everyone is gonna make a few mistakes throughout an entire tournament.
Hahaha amazing
Let’s go Ethan mad run and I’m only half way through the video. Playing heaps better compared to what you were months back. Keep playing these tournaments!
problem with last hand is opponent wont be calling with worse. tough spot since Kings looks good but should be playing the long game and preserving the stack
happy frickin Tuesday ethan! banger!
So hard for me to understand not checking back on the KK hand……….🤯
At least you didn’t go bust that hand. He played your KK with finesse as if he were in an orchestra doing a violin solo. He knew your tendencies for being lulled into calling, and got you to pick up :P
Tournament vlogs are another thing! Amazing
This gonna be a banger and i never even watched yet!!!!! Lets go!!!
This is the content I remember just keep this content going. Don’t need to change anything
Gotta understand your image and know people are adjusting accordingly. Was a perfectly laid trap, and the fact you didn't even consider that a trap was being laid, marks a hole in your game that you need to patch. Always rooting for you bro, hope you do great in the main!
Was your image super Argo going into the last hand? The old "make it look like a 'block' bet" bet on the turn works a lot vs aggressive players.
Great run!!! One of my favorite videos by you! Brutal last hand but I totally fell for it too haha.
Stick to these tournaments. Stop playing high stakes cash games against people out of your league.
Those dudes at HCL are not out his league.
He final tables and you’re still hating Jesus ur life must be miserable
You’re telling someone exactly how to live their life. You’re also offering an opinion about people you have no idea about. I’m not defending Rampage, I’m pointing out your deficiencies.
Could Rampage use some guidance… absolutely. Can every human? Absolutely 100%.
Rampage has gotten to the place he’s at because he has an above average risk tolerance and has shown to perform well at high stakes both tournament and cash games. Any poker player not guilty of punting has the right to hate on certain HCL displays but we know that’s none of us.
A bunch of those players probably can’t even make it close to the final table of tournaments like this lol
9:11 Bink, 10 on the river! 😂
What a run! Let’s go lad!
do the last format of day in the life again i loved it
I like that RAMPAGE shows the time lapse in the upper left corner.
On that river with the board pairing Ten and you have Aces, I like a small 1BB bet to induce a bluff. It takes away their option to check. And it’s one of the most psychologically difficult things to fold for 1BB on the river. But they can’t call so they almost always raise their bluffs.
Good Afternoon Young Man
WHOOO RAMPAGE POST
good luck my ethan boy
Curious your thoughts on the last hand Jam? I know hindsight is 20-20 but other than Ace jack with a diamond and Queens with a diamond what calls a 1.5 x shove that you beat? aj would probably find a fold. love the video keep up the run
Sick run!
Congrats on the final table
Pretty surprised by how little the opponents bluffed on the river in some of these hands.
That's a nice run so far. With the KK hand, my understanding is that once the board pairs you are shoving full houses to target flushes. Two pair is very unlikely to get called by worse, so as others have said shoving is not the play.
pocket 10s at 10pm 👀 majestic
The play his opponent made at the end was next level!
After this video, which I enjoyed very much (very fun to watch), I am going to refer to Lex O poker as “player to my left” from now on.
Hi Ethan, glad to see you do good after losing most of your chips. Congrats for being in the money. Good luck in the tournament. Can't wait for the next blog. Peace ✌️
Absolutely love the fold on that 4bet even with AJ. Used to watch you a lot in the early days and I feel like you've finally gone back to your roots a little bit. Much more calm, hopefully this mindset persists
Sometimes you YOLO
GL for the rest of the series ethan!
I like to watch your videos, I wish you would update on pay jumps each time you make a jump.
Good video bro. You are due too win a big one. Be patient. Pick your moments to bet.
Don't make unnecessary bets..
Take care. Good luck..❤
Nice work 💪
Thanx for the content bro
Good days to you
What were you hoping to get called by on the river JAM??? The way the hand played out check is the play
Wow. Nice sun run. Congrats. I have to day I'm a bit confused by calling a preflop raise with 5-2 of clubs.
nice play E
That 5, 2 hand was amazing
When you say, "You get him to raise," what exactly did you do? Lol
Good luck😊
Good luck
Please last hand shove reminds me Rampage is go all in when the same situation when he facing nuts flush versus Mariano😅😅😅
When you Go all In with pocket kings What did you expect him to call with?
i think quote from Rounder movie is good " he trap me"
Glad to see you running well again! on the 56s hand, you can always just fold pre. It's marginal, and you're deep in a tourney. Still fine the way you played it. I think the fold on the river was good. You're losing to a lot of hands that play that way. Tough spot.
Blink a 10 at exactly 10pm 😮
And day 4 of the main event!! Go rampage!!
Played you like a fiddle, that ending hand. Knew you would behave, true to form. Leading punter in poker world.
Loved all your moves except the All In at the end with KK on a Monotone Board and a paired board? Interesting thought process throughout the hand. He was either an experienced poker pro trying to induce a raise or he had you just read like a book and played you like a fiddle.
Ethan, you have a talent for tournament play
I noticed when people make those tiny bets they usually have the nuts
This guy is making me want to learn how to play poker
HE GOT EVERY BEST CARDS YOU CAN DREAM OF!!
I noticed that you Just barely uploaded This One. Are you planning to give us the rest of the story and show us how you did on Day 3 and IF you hopefully make the FT? Good Luck brother. Can't wait to see the results of your hard work.
The sun is strong!
Long time since we've heard this guy say 'sun running'
“I get my opponent to 3 bet me” 😂
OUCH> That Snap call holding the Nutt Flush (Esp after using 2 time banks on the turn as deception. AND> You know, in retrospect, that his small 40k bet was BAIT to get you to do exactly what you did and set him up for the double Time Bank Bluff Call) I FELT THAT ONE IN MY SOUL. Although I personally would not have gone All In. Not with a pretty much "Snap" ReRaise on an All Diamond Flop. Despite everything, I would have checked it down. Still, I gotta feel for ya. That *Was* a Tough Spot and Had to Hurt.
Yeah, that small bet says ace of diamonds. Doesn’t mean a flush, but I’d definitely play it smaller and check back and call off his 25-35% river bet
I know this is kinda easy for someone watching but on that hand at the end when he made the small bet of 40k with a potential nuts on the flop I had a feeling he was slow playing, think about it if he really wanted to bluff he would have bet a lot more possibly like 150 but instead he put a small bet that made it easy to call and allow you to see that card, he probably put you on pockets and needed a way for you to catch up with the board paring that was perfect for him, having you get 2 pair, and his check could’ve failed if you checked back but obviously he felt you would try to get him off the hand. What was really chefs kiss was using the time banks I think that really got in your head and made you think you were ahead. I’m not close to a pro and I learn a lot from watching you but for me I always if I think I have the best hand I’ll play that 40k wouldve made me cautious.
7th place is pretty darn good!
You are so lucky ❤
You got down to last couple hands and did a BIG A** punt! 🏈 Lol how do you turn a bluff catcher into a bluff???
Your opponent always calls😂
because he's such a punter, sooo as long as he isn't getting unbelievably lucky, you win
I am praying HARD daily for your pitfalls!
Spoiler alert: Ethan takes seventh place in this event! Well done rampage!!
Ram-punt rolls on
bursted
If you only play like this in cash games, that's a good poker Ethan.
Better lucky than good!
goat
5/2 is called the Ray Lew.......
56 vs j10, you weren't drawing dead, you could hit J10 runner runner for a split
Tighten up
The 6d5d hand wasn't that bad, your opponent is just loose for calling that flop bet OOP with KQ no heart. If you're playing AA-TT, A9, 98 etc with no heart the same way then you have plenty of better hands that bet flop, check turn, and can call river, though against a player who floats too wide OOP 65 is probably still a call. The KK hand was the bad one. Your opponent's range after he raised flop and called your turn raise is just flushes, straights, sets, and hands like Ad9o that are planning to bluff you on non-board pairs. All of his 9dXx, 8dXx as bluffs and two-pairs are probably folding turn, so KdKo is meant to just call down turn and river.
Hi Mr yau❤
Riches to rags.. But hey, I'm sun running.. Weeeeee...
Played well just to get Hollywooded on the last hand. Unfortunate. But you gotta respect the flush being out there lol.
What losing hand was gonna call your KK all in when river paired 3?😂
If the time stamp is accurate on the video you have had more playable hands (even the losing ones) in 2.5 hrs than I had all day playing 6 hours in a tournament. Guess some people are just that lucky
Do those unprotected cards out there near the line make anyone else nervous?
He prob hit ace drawing with a flush vs your kj

14:02 did he really just say that
Donk!!!
Knowing that you are bagging in 3 hands, I believe the KK @rampage was misplayed because I think you are 2nd in chips on the table and position 1 already folded (who looks like to be the chip/table leader in chips) with that said you needed to size up with KKs because how vulnerable they can be against the short stacked players. The blinds were already huge. chipping up at this stage of the tournament is better than flipping against Ax hands for your tournament life even tho you covered him you could still be out in a few hands after tilting. Now if this was at the Final Table Hand you would of open 3 bet shoved and of course Ax would of insta muck I know I would but he was suited there's a Chance he calls but you open 3 bet shoving you must have minimum AK suited. Just adding ICM pressure before Final Table with or without KINGS. Allowing them to see the flop for cheap is how you get premiums cracked. Sometimes its better to take the blinds and not lose 30% of the stack by overplaying. which is what we generally do when we get delt AAs KKs we get attached and we overplay. thats POKA BABY!!!!
That last all in was silly, or else he played fine
Got greedy at the end there with Kings , a bet would suffice but All in with no Flush, no boat or even a set is kinda wild assuming you are targeting smaller 2 pairs ...why would anyone call all in with a worse 2 pair when the board paired .. solid play tho overall thru the video! good luck the rest of the way tho!
How much effort does it take to make an upside down fuck you sign for each check?
