17 months after departing Wolves to join Al Hilal, former captain Ruben Neves returned to Molineux and took to the microphone at half-time to address supporters. Ruben would watch Gary O’Neil’s men beat the Saints 2-0, thanks to goals from Pablo Sarabia and Matheus Cunha, with Wolves TV cameras on hand to capture all of the action.

Not many players have the bond that Ruben had with our club they just see them as an employer. Ruben was visibly upset when he moved and so all the good health and luck to you and the family.

Seranading the modern day poster boy of the fosun era. Conducted himself with the upmost professionalism. Immersed himself in the club, the city and its people. Scored some of the greatest goals we will ever see as wolves fans. Deserved every bit of the serenading he had. Thats not embarrassing. Wolverhampton was saluting one of its own!!

Steve Bull has been my favourite player until Neves turned up, what a player,my son met him as a mascot against Norwich 18/19 season he’s favourite player,what a man and a player, absolute legend.. Cunha is catching up though just need to keep him for a few more seasons.

I wonder why when Conor Coady left the club, having been with the team since the lower divisions and all the way up, never got quite the same treatment as Ruben did. Yes, it could be related to his Everton season-long loan move and his England ambitions, but then again wasn't the move also because Bruno didn't fancy him, why he bought in the young lad who left after a year? It was kind of strange to see that Ruben featured on a tearful farewell video but I don't recall that Coady who was also a captain never was, despite being so dedicated, loyal and an example for the majority of his long stay with the club.None of this is to detract from Ruben's status as a bona-fide legend BTW.

People have emotional reactions to different players. Coady was super imported, but back when they were in the Championship Neves was the star. It's like a person following the current Chelsea team and connecting more with Palmer rather than Caicedo (even though Caicedo is just as important or more at times).

Great video and great to see the King return home as he promised he would when he left, he vowed to return as a fan and although not in the south bank for obvious reasons he kept his word and not many do that. Fosun & Jeff you must bring him back as a player in January regardless of cost as the fans deserve it and that investment will be returned by May 2025.
One negative is how can you cut short the Last Post as I’m sorry that’s one massive error and something I feel is disrespectful and surely this club actually has standards, love the club love some of the video but please let’s have standards improved as this is very disappointing.

@JG91462 actually a real wolves fan completely understood, the team got decimated, got rid of the coach or let him go because the owners wanted to turn wolves into a brand rather get a consistent point scoring prem team. At this rate right now we are going down!! Also he came from a decent team to wolves who were in league 1, wasn't for the money so yeah he earned that money move.
