There is no need to pursue expensive things to be happy. It’s about what expectation you set yourself. The more expensive/higher you set your expectation, the harder it will be to make yourself happy.

I understand your feeling. We also had a hard time the first time doing puasa when we were kids. We have been practicing puasa since we were kids. It took me 5 years to get used with Ramadhan. Now, it has been 20 years of me doing puasa during Ramadhan and I'm already used to it. I'm looking forward for Ramadhan. A blissful month and peace.

Trying for Ramadan definitely will be a good unique experience. Like Sho said, after 12 hours of fasting, even a glass of plain water tastes like heaven! Not only reminds us of the feelings of the poors, but also trains you to be a gaman person. Feel angry? gaman.. i dont have energy for this. Feel sad? gaman.. Temptations? gaman.. You will be a better person who can better control self.

Appreciated it very much on yr effort to learn & speak Malay language..❤ just to correct you that we fast in Ramadhan not to just commemorate the poors only... but the main reason is that fasting is one of the pillar of Islamic religion.. we fast because of Allah All Mighty as what our prophet Muhammad PBUH commanded us to obey our Creator. 😊

For a hardcore gym goer, Ramadan is the perfect period to get a 'off season'. Every professional athlete have their own off season too. 2 months off in a year from their training.
You may think you lost a month of muscle development, but if you worked hard through out a year, it make sense to get a month off and let the muscle to recover and get good conditioning.
If you still think you lost the month, just alter the training regime by focusing on lightweight training like yoga or light cardio. Or simply move the work out on evening.

Here's a tip Sho,if you wanna beat that thirst. Try put a pinch of salt in your plain water during sahur. It will help you beat/ease that thirst for the whole day. Drink a lot of plain water too during that time.

Sho, i think by now you can be called KTK (Kueh Tiaw King) 😊😊😊. Bungkus means wrap. So telur bungkus is almost similar to what they do with martabak except telur bungkus, they wrap the ingredients with egg obviously.
