- We all lost someone dear to us and I wanted to share this with everyone. This is my first music video and it's a bit rough I must say. I hope everyone enjoys it. It's Rod Stewart's "Forever Young" behind a movie montage. I think the music fits Robin perfectly because he was always young at heart. Feel free to share Robin's life with Rod's music. Till this day, this video still makes me smile :) R.I.P. Robin.

It's now 2023 and it STILL makes me cry, knowing that this incredible man is no longer with us.
Rest in peace, Robin Williams.
My son served in the Navy and was stationed in the Persian Gulf, Bahrain, twice. During his second tour there, the sailors got a surprise appearance from Robin Williams. When he called and told me about it, he said, "Mom, I laughed so hard, my ribs hurt for four days!" I asked, "You wouldn't trade one minute of that pain for a million dollars, would you?" "Nope! Not for all the money in the world!" My son, two daughters and I bawled like babies when Robin passed away. In all the live performances, movies and TV show he did, he was always the "Genie" because he had a special kind of "magic" he put into everything he did...and after seeing this tribute video, my eyes are wet. Maybe some of you are thinking, "Me too, Al!" Peace to you,everyone!
I wish we'd had him longer, but I'm so glad for the time we had him.

It's just amazing how much this wonderful soul was part of our lives. Like many of you I grew up loving Mork & Mindy, Then when I moved into my very first place of my own. After my family & friends went home & left me on my own the very first thing I watched on TV was his movie Popeye cause I still didn't have my cable TV hooked up yet. It helped me thru a lonesome & boring day, Then many years later (late 2000's) I had my one & only extra work in his movie Man Of The Year. Sadly the only scene I was in was a crowd scene that was cut. It was about 11:30 PM & the very last day of shooting Robin getting ready to leave & he got all us extras together & took the time to shake our hands, ask our names & how our experience was. As he was about to get to me I was really nervous & excited. But it was like meeting a soul mate. Got home @ least an hour later & had to stop myself from calling friends & family to share my experience & brag.Bangarang Robin. See you in Neverland !!
Finally came across a tribute that includes all movies. I saw great tributes but all of them left out Aladdin and Mrs doubtfire which are my favorites of him. In honor of him I decided not to watch the live action Aladdin or watch the sequels to Aladdin because the directors of Aladdin broke his trust. These movies just aren't the same without him. No other soul could ever be genie in voice or person! You'll always be my genie Robin. I wish he knew what he meant to us!😭
I can't believe in a few weeks it will be a decade since we lost this great funny comedian 😢😢
Every time i Watch a Robin Williams movie I return to this video. Last night i watched: angriest man in Brooklyn and I Loved it!

As I posted in many You Tube Robin Williams tributes before. I had the sheer pleasure of meeting this wonderful soul on my one & only extra work in his movie Man Of The Year. A the end of the night (around 12:30) he came over shook hands & asked each of us our names & how our evening was. It will be a moment I will cherish even more since his passing. Bangerang oh captain my captain. See you in Neverland !!
Shortly after seeing this video I heard this song playing in a store and all I could think of was this....

I just watched One Hour Photo over the weekend and I had to return to this video. In the extras on the DVD is a great interview with him and he was so great to watch, always brought the laughs

Wow, this video is so totally amazing! It makes you feel wonderful, and then a bit tearful, and by the end you have a smile on your face. A truly wonderful tribute to a wonderful man. I remember Tuesday nights @ 8 PM and then @ 8:30 PM on ABC, there was my 2 favorite shows on, Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley. That was about 1975 or so. That's where I 1st saw Robin. He was funny, but I thought it was better to be cool. So when you call me names, you can call me *Fonzie*. People without loving the Lord Jesus Christ enough commit suicide. When I was in one of my choirs about 23 years ago, one of my fellow choir members committed suicide. Someone told me that and I couldn't believe it so I called my choir director on the phone and she did confirm it. I guess he wasn't a real Christian, even though he did wash my feet when I went over to his place once to play music. He had a guitar player friend over and I brought my bass and amp and he sang. His girlfriend was there, too. Yeah, I think I'll blame it on the female. Maybe that's what got to Robin, too. Girl, you better treat me nice. HeHeHe. Take care, Gioia.

***** Maybe that has something to do with it. I don't think he was a born again Christian. I do remember about 20 years ago I saw in the news he gave a lady a STD. If that was the national enquirer I guess it wouldn't hold much ground. All of our pasts are sinful, so maybe he did get saved. But someone who commits suicide dies as a murderer. That person is probably not going to heaven. *But I was born in 1963, so don't be too harsh on 63. I'm sorry how I treated you. Please forgive me. We should be more nice to each other. Take care*.
He was on an Anti-Depression med. They are known to increase suicidal thoughts and actions. If you're trying to make him look selfish he wasn't. I had the honor and privilege to meet the man. We spoke I sat down with him. I literally cried tears of joy. A great example of what it means to be a "human-Being" He would want me to continue to laugh and smile, and enjoy life. As he would want all of us to do. Remember you can't kill energy. Our bodies are only one of many constructs. I will see this man again. Until then I will enjoy life and I hope you all do as well.

Kind of interesting that a Rod Stewart song was chosen for this because to me, Robin Williams and Rod Stewart kind of look a like. In fact, when I first saw Rod Stewart's picture, I thought that maybe Robin Williams had dyed his hair blond.
I know Robin Williams played the voice of the Genie in "Aladdin" and "Aladdin 3" but it's not a role that he liked to talk about. In fact, when the movie was coming out, he did not want to mentioned in the commercials. He was a better voice for the genie than Dan Castellaneta(the voice of Homer Simpson) was.
