In 2023 where most bands try to b groovy, epic, melodic, symphonic, well produced, progressive and whatnot (and that's awesome btw) it is refreshing to still hear bands keeping to their old traidtions and produce just something dark, raw and with pure energy.
Both of the new songs I've heard so far are good, but they just sound like remixes of songs from the last album or SoND... and the last album already had 2 or 3 songs that sounded like remixes of eachother. I think Abbath contributed a lot of variety in the songwriting department tbh. I literally just came from listening to At the Heart of Winter and Sons of Northern Darkness when I happened to see this video, and while I like the sound, I feel like they need some extra spice in the composition department
