I disagree he picked the wrong song. The number of views here show how much his soft, beautiful voice is touching people's hearts. This song is perfect for his vocal range, even if it's not a powerful one. He brings so much emotion into it. It is like a gift to his fans who are known as "Nine's Happiness". He also melds well with other singers and brings a joy to bops that is contagious. Nine is an incredible talent, even if he doesn't fit a desired mold.
Agree, song choice doesn't matter. What should matter is the qualifications of being an idol. Nine can sing very well. It was quite sad that the bonus performance didn't have any points.
I thought the judges actually enjoyed his singing but they said that they didn’t vote for him because his extra round was “not counted”. I think they meant they fully based the votes only on the main round when he was together with Patrick. It makes sense coz its called “extra round”. Im not sure about this though.

I remember when the other trainees did the vocal battle with eric chou's unbreakable love, patrick was shown asking nine "didn't we prepare this song?" but nine refused to volunteer. (i think mika and xingte and another trainee went down). i hope we get to hear his version of it too 🥺
A year has passed and my feeling when hearing Nine sing this song is still the same as the first day. His voice is so warm and touches my heart. This is really a perfect stage, perfect MVP. I hope that Nine will sing more ballad songs, I miss his voice so much 😭

I really love nine and I think they didn't give him a lot of screen time and appreciation like, he is one in a million. He nows how to speak four languages, plays volleyball, plays instruments, nows how to act and a lot of other things, he even receive a awards for what he does so for me is unfair that all the attention went to the Chinese trainees. He has a lot more fans than the guys that said they were famous on internet. I'm really happy and angry at the same time. i was so shocked when i saw him on this survival show in china since i'm used to him acting and just singing on his instagram live. I'm thankful that he's gonna debut soon with Patrick and the other members of INTO1.
I think the reason why he didn't get extra points on the extra round is because he didn't show another talent like others did BUT that doesn't mean that they don't like his voice! Yea honestly I think the choice of song that Nine picked was good I'm not a singer or professional but I could tell that he picked a song that he could show great emotion in, he is an actor after all. You don't have to pick a song with all these high notes as everyone else did, it's predictable. Nine was a new change in voice and depth in the song. The trainees all appreciated his voice as well as song choice and that's what made me happy.

I think the reason why he didn't get extra points on the extra round is because he didn't show another talent like others did BUT that doesn't mean that they don't like his voice! They did like him on the first one, they just didn't vote for the extra round. I feel like others misunderstood that the judges didn't like his voice, that's not the case at all. when Thai sing Chinese song as Chinese OMG, he so soulful with this song. even learn Chinese 3 month also sing and dance.
Yea honestly I think the choice of song that Nine picked was good I'm not a singer or professional but I could tell that he picked a song that he could show great emotion in, he is an actor after all. You don't have to pick a song with all these high notes as everyone else did, it's predictable. Nine was a new change in voice and depth in the song. The trainees all appreciated his voice as well as song choice and that's what made me happy.
