I know this is old, but for any random person who watches this after me, I saw a recording of a stream of the developer teaching this game on VASSAL (here on YT, idk when), and he said that the X2 production multiplier for Poland is errata. They just get however many factories they have.
Thank you so much for unloading this. A fascinating game to watch. Trying to learn my way through Vietnam 65-75 at the moment and it's amazing how deep some of these games can get. But seeing them played out with such casual knowledge keeps me positive.
Surprised you don't use any plexiglass - although glare can be a problem, yet it does protect the map quite a bit (and also flattens it). I like your tweezers - and ended up ordering a similar curved type. heh
The problem with Russia first is the diplomacy game. After you conquer Poland, you get easy countries like Denmark, Belgium, Norway, and Netherlands. That is four pro axis markers you get to throw in the diplomacy cup. You can usher in Italy and other allies to help you. With Russia first, you have to work harder to get those diplomacy tokens. I think you can still take Norway and Denmark without ruining things with the west.

'Nam's tricky to learn, but well worth the effort.
We get them mounted on portrait board with a matte laminate

I really dislike the stuff. Not just the glare. Probably should paperclip the maps though. They've slid a couple of times already.

Thanks for your great videos! Would you recommend this game if you were only going to play it solo?
