Speaking or Criticising on / against Salman Khan in Bollywood is no lesser than doing something against a Mad King. She has guts to tell the truth. Kudos for that Anushka.
i didnt really knew that anushka has so much wisdom into her , she has really grown both as an actor and as a lovely energetic person, from now onwards i would really be looking up for her interviews like this ,this is how a modern young contemporary indian women must represents herself to live life on her own terms ,we are really proud of u anushka thk u for a lovely straightforward interview.
+SR Bee she can't risk a failure. the producers the directors all worked hard on the movie. Anushka worked hard. she deserves that success. this is not just Salmans movie
I agree with Anushka. People are reading too much into something that most of us would do especially if it's a priority. Arfa's decision was related to her priorities in life rather than gender equality. People do a whole lot of things for the people they are in love with.
I seriously always love and look forward to your interviews with Anushka, they seem so genuine. It's like you're two friends actually sitting down to share your ideas. Plus I love how real Anushka is, we've needed someone like her in the industry for a long time.
I absolutely loved SULTAN & I absolutely loved her character in the film. WHOEVER THINKS AARFA WAS REGRESSIVE & BACKWARD MINDED CAN TAKE A SEAT, IN FACT, YOU ALL SHOULD TAKE SEVERAL SEATS... Aarfa was a strong independent woman who very well knew what she wanted with her life. She optimized her priorities with the requirement of the situation. To carry a child in her womb is a great feeling for most of the women in the world. That motherly feeling can not be described in words. It's so precious. She was back at her work few years after. She was back at what she was doing but at that time she chose to bring in a new life to this world & it was her free choice. She gave her child the priority. She made that decision freely. Feminism is not about male bashing & just about having a career outside. If we can respect the right of a woman to have a career then shouldn't we also respect the right of a woman to choose her family over a career? It doesn't make her any lesser than a career woman. Bringing up children & making a home is equally a very tough job. Feminism is about making free choices without anybody's pressure & do what your mind & heart says. Such idiotic writers in firstpost or some other website are doing no good for women. What Aarfa did for women these pseudo self proclaimed feminist writers can never do. That's why I suggest take a back seat & stop writing. Anushka as Aarfa shines & how!!! More power to her for doing this role & nailing it! She is undoubtedly one of the most effortless performers of our time!
Thank you!!! finally someone who knows what feminism is about👏 Actually it's the first time that the heroine of a salman movie has such a strong role and she did an amazing job!
You don't seem to get the point. Writers are questioning what motivates her towards taking that decision. There is still the societal influence behind most of her flawed decisions in the movie. Just because it is a comfortable choice for men and pleases men, it doesn't have to be rooted for.

***** The worst thing is she has come across as a pseudo-feminist and tries to vehemently defend her bosses, by even sarcastically taking a dig at those who criticized her role. That's pure vehemence. Yes, the family rhetoric is an eyewash, a brainwash, just because men are comfortable with control. They don't see anything wrong in it either because they are too blinded to do so. Women suffer even if she has a great family because her needs or emotions will not be met in the grand family set up. Ayurveda says women suffer arthritis and cancer because they sacrifice their lives living for others, while their cells protest against the choices she makes, because the cells have to be fed upon. We leave women in internal conflicts with the need to nurture a family, give birth to a child and "Oh come on, it's a child yaar," like Anushka would pretend to have us believe. A baby is purely a woman's choice, which doesn't happen that way in Sultan. She wants to please him and so she bears the child and the character is also designed as such to please the audiences for a blockbuster. Yes, men don't need to tell women about how family is so important. And even spiritually, family is a selfish unit, which is not the be-all and end-all of life. It's not the ultimate goal of one's life or the holy grail. Even men get heart attacks because they are in pursuit of control over everyone and everything like at least a family. When they know they must not influence or control anyone, especially a woman, that's when they can least understand feminism.
Always love your interviews with Anushka Sharma. You ask the right questions, and she is honest enough to give you an answer. Otherwise it's so predictable and boring with questions like "how was it shooting," and "did you do pranks on set, ...".
I so much agree with you. She has asked Anushka such comfortably questions which are absolutely decent and fun at the same time .loved watching the interview . I love Anushka Sharma so much..
I love her so much. I love that you do these interviews with her, Anupama, because it's your interviews with Anushka that have brought out her truly remarkable character. Her honest opinions on hot topics, her feelings about the way the industry works, her inside scoops regarding her equations with superstars on sets. You bring this intriguing information so naturally out of her that it doesn't even seem like it was a plot point in your head. This is the mark of a stupendous interviewer Kudos to you. I love anushkas brutal honesty and the way she speaks her mind so eloquently. Unlike so many high-profile actors you interview, I know anushka brings out utmost enjoyment and excitement from you when you interview her because she's someone who isnt guarded or reserved. she doesnt avoid a question or downplay the wrongdoings of industry members or colleagues out of fear for losing her positon. That is why I respect her dearly. I don't understand the dislikes on this video. I guess society has an issue with strong and fully capable woman. Well I don't. I love them, and I'm a guy. She really is an amazing role model; not only for women, but men as well. I look forward to your future interviews with her Anupama :)
I agree. God only knows. The dislikes are those small societal misunderstandings of how strong women should speak, think and act. What is okay for them and what crosses the line which never enters the conversation when a bro is talking. If its equality we want than torah chese hai stupid quibbles about gender based good behavior get more in the way than are at all helpful. To think how much your approval gets robbed from an actor just because you might choose to misunderstanding how they act, why they act that way or why you can't find anything good about it for no reason. Yes. All those dislikes? Maybe the dislikes need to grow up when their brain starts shrinking.
This was amazing ❤️ i fall in love with her and respect her each time i hear her speak. Anupama is just a wonderful wonderful interviewer. Anushka ‘s honesty is priceless
Another great interview by Anupam with Anushka. I think it is great that Anushka takes on the thinking of who she portrays and respects that person's thoughts and decisions. She also shows great courage and it was great to refer back to the older interview which was outstanding and the pouring in of support for Anushka was great to see. And I thought she was respectful of Salman Khan. I think he would be a difficult interview maybe not. Anupam rarely mentions him and he seems an interior extrovert whereas Anushka seems an extroverted introvert. This is a great interview.
Yes,she is absolutely right! I have given up my study n career for my child as I was pregnant...being selfish is not better option then to choose being a mother! Love you Anuska!
i loved this one as well , sometimes i wonder that it is your genius as a journalist or you just get lucky with outspoken guests on your show , such is the level of comfort and ease i feel when i watch your interviews . Anushka kudos to her , she not only managed to answer back but also maintain that decorum of not loosing her rationality. once again thank you so much for being you Anu , lots of love .
It is always such a pleasure to watch her interviews. She is so candid and articulate. And such a bad ass!!! Love that you can watch her on and off screen and she is lovely unlike some people whose interviews are a snooze fest. much love to you my dear!
Movie was fine and entertaining but the approach towards her character was same old and a bit regressive.. ambitious women who gives up her dream after marriage/motherhood and that was sad. Mary Kom nd her story is encouraging and empowering.. But Anushka was amazing as Arfa and I luv her :)
Saurav Malla I have seen the movie so keep your info to yourself. you didn't find it regressive that's your opinion. Why you want every one to agree with you !!
same old and regressive? have you ever seen another female wrestler role in bollywood (apart from mary kom)? and it's not regressive in my opinion she had a choice and she wanted to be a mother...btw she continued w wrestling afterwards
Caan Byc that dialogue was way too regressive for me "mujhe mera gold mil gaya" and relax ..I never said movie was bad... bt plz that attitude was not good. And it is my opinion, you be happy with yours
+Megha Lall wow you've got one hell of an attitude women. If you want to keep your opinion to yourself then why don't you just shut up instead of posting comments. If you post then u should be aware of criticism.
Both Aamir and Anuskha ignored the fact that Salman retracted his statement within the same breathe of saying it. Anuskhas bf Virat is abusive/insensitive on the field.
Awesome interviewAnupama u have a way to frame questions which never crosses the bar nd hits the right point...anushka luv u...be like this..straightforward..always
honestly, i'm impressed. she seems like an honest and thinking individual. she thought about the moves she made with her career and the roles she took, so now she doesn't need to rely on untruths and overly zealous PR spin room crap to defend herself. I hope she keeps up the quality control.
Anushka saying this insensitive would have made more sense if she hasn't asked him " feel like what?" and laughed at it at kapil sharma's show!!! Also she is saying all this after the film has been released and all when she's not obliged to have a good relation with salman
I was feeling incomplete after ur interview with Ali ,bcoz I was waiting to hear from Anushka..and yepee u just did it! Thanks Anupama.. And yes I was scared that Anushka has changed after Sultan but thanks to god she has come out excatly I was imagining of her! She came out real one , as usual herself ! And showed she backs herself .. :) :) Thanks for doing it :)
And yet any Bollywood actress would'n portray a character that aborts a child to pursue her sports dream. And there lies the difference. Forget about regressive portrayal of women in Salman Khan movies which is a norm, even when actresses talk about becoming single mothers through adoption or other ways which Priyanka Chopra did a few months back, they face extreme violent reactions. This is the difference in Indian society which has taken away the rights of its women to have a control over their bodies through a sixteenth century mentality that puts the onus entirely on women and none on the men . India is an overpopulated country and by the looks of its movies its not going to handle the situation by giving more independence to its women until the country starts imploding due to excess population.
Anushka has always been a cool customer but this clearly shows she is rattled. Few points to observe:- 1. Aarfa does go back to wrestle but we have to keep in account the time lapse. 10 years had passed, so does Aarfa's body have the stamina to continue wrestling at such a level. Given most Olympians have a time span of not more than 2 or 3 olympics. We have to assume her medal winning chances are at higher odds. 2. The weird part is when both of them are qualifying through several rounds of qualification and then comes the pregnancy. Sex is energy consuming and the athletes are advised against it before major events. In the end Anushka makes a valid point about not doing a movie if she was pregnant but my question is would she make the same argument if she had been asked to do the same before Rab ne bana di jodi! Food for thought. Cheers
What a wonderful channel. The previous Anushka interview was really good too. As the previous episode ended though, I asked myself _Why is this just 18 minutes?_ I thought the same for this one cause it was such a great conversation. Why not an hour or two if it's possible? I That'd be really cool! It's on TH-cam anyways - and this is the best way to be real, away from the fast paced bullshit momentum of news. bringing real conversations to life on camera is so much more satisfying (as was in this and the Anushka interview) instead of the pre-internet era model of interviews. There's just so much potential for this to become a great podcast (similar to the JRE podcast - ex th-cam.com/video/kbcfkYJ-zvM/w-d-xo.html) . This is real and taps into actual conversations (equality, etc), not just vacuous promotions. Keep up the good work guys!
She is trying to justify her actions. But it was clearly regressive and she decided to sellout for a movie with Salman. She just wanted to please him like the rest of the world. She is a pseudo feminist. I had a lot of respect for her up until NH10 then she just decided to sell out.#pseudofeminist
Right, coz what you and other FemiNazis think is the only right way a woman is supposed to behave? Whatever happened to "my life my choice"? What's really regressive is you expecting other woman to conform and fall in line to just one line of thinking in the name of feminism. That makes YOU a pseudo-feminist.
this interview of Anushka has more dislikes, then her 1 year's old interview with Anupama..probably bcz of her sayings ...on Salman Khan. what the hack.😏😏
this movie will be forgotten in 3"months, regressive and progressive in a bloody movie? its entertainment , fiction, not a life angel for heavens sake, why scrutinize every scene? Indians are getting more obsessed by the minute! chill
Anushka: I don't really know Salman. He is intimidating. ***True, you don't know him*** It is a new trend to make every plot, every character, a discussion point for performance review, feminism and gender equality among characters. What Salman said is insensitive. What interviewer like Anupama Chopra does is blow it up like a flute. Grow up. Making it a part of a show and then make people know and look-up "What Salman said is insensitive", a propaganda rather than awareness. Move on.
going from superstar vehicle to smaller film, she does use a different muscle. The brain. Anushka, it's not about if a girl will abort if she is pregnant. it's about the following: 1. Why did Sultan not participate in the dilemma of his wife giving up her dream? He was out celebrating before one could judge the poor plot point choice. 2. He is not your Golf medal. He is a compromise you make. Husband is not a replacement for aspirations. 3. Did you ever negotiate why never won the Gold at Olympics on screen during the end credits? 4. Why couldn't you have gone to Olympics and lost the gold to get Silver and Bronze? You could have used that frustration to get lidded at him. We are disappointed that you didn't negotiate the important plot point when you negotiate hotel rooms. 5. Collectively everyone cringed in the theatre so don't be in such denial. We are unequivocally disappointed that you chose/didn't modify the role.
Stop reading too much between the lines. Aarfa made that fee choice. Her love for her baby stopped her pursuing her ambition. There was absolutely nothing wrong in it. If she wanted to prioritize her baby then be it. It's you who don't seem to understand what feminism is. It's not about male bashing. It's a fight for equal rights & the ability to make free choices without anybody's pressure. If a woman wants to choose her family over a career then be it, she made that choice on her own, nobody enforced their will on her. Almost every women sacrifices a certain period of their career because they want to bring in a new life. Now you can't say why the men can't do the same sacrifice. That's because unfortunately men can't carry a child in their womb. It's a call of the nature that only women can get pregnant & they can't be working actively at that time! Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had given up on her work commitments because she fell pregnant & she chose to give birth to her daughter. It was her free choice. Sultan is a very well made film with a taut script & brilliant performances from it's cast. It's a creative world. A filmmaker doesn't make a movie to fit any existent opinions on pseudo feminism. Female folks around me have absolutely loved the film. They loved Aarfa & found her inspiring. It was a strong independent character who knew what she wanted. At the end you see her on wrestling field again, doing what she does best. We should be celebrating a strong character like Aarfa rather than pulling her down just because she didn't fit in our pseudo definition of pseudo feminism. & btw, suppose your mother was a very ambitious woman& if she had chosen to prioritize her ambition over you when you were in her womb, you wouldn't be born! Bow down to her & give her some respect!!!!!!!!!!
+Sourav Roy It's one man's script and it is as flawed as is creator. we are pointing out the flaw. Doesn't make the film less but somehow it does. He could have made it better. For the last time, no one is asking her to not choose the baby but given that it's a synthesized conflict between for the heroine who until that keeps giving senti dialogues and lectures on feminism, there are other ways to synthesize that conflict that follow those now empty words.
Superb, Subhalakshmi Kumar, read my point-by-point reply to Sourav's comment above: Aarfa made that fee choice. Her love for her baby stopped her pursuing her ambition. There was absolutely nothing wrong in it.// See feminism and progressive stances often imply that this drivel of family is more important is a make-believe cast upon women. And it's not love for baby. She says she wants him to be happy and so she carries the baby. That's what she says, after the confirmation. //It's a fight for equal rights & the ability to make free choices without anybody's pressure.// Still, what is implied in feminism is that society and movies and TV try to project certain way of life (in this case family), as something of more value than other ways of life, say, an independent woman who is more practical and pragmatic in her life, a career woman, a wrestler and even a woman who can have casual sex. A film's message to the viewers is what it idealizes, what it projects as the holy. In this case, Aarfa's giving it all up is projected as holy. It gets idealized. It will lead other unaware women to believe, "Oh that's how we must be, that must be my way of life." You have no idea what kind of conflicts and problems these kinds of false beliefs will bring to a woman. And even to men. So, this will become men's expectation of women and women's expectation of themselves. Anything can go wrong. A girl who believes as such will become ignorant and if she marries a drunkard, she will be ruined with her movie-influenced false beliefs becoming a mirage. Even if the man is controlling or is a male chauvinist pig, even if he doesn't hurt her, it will prove worse to the woman. You can also see Aarfa gets treated like shit but still the film doesn't say it's wrong. It plays it down. //Almost every women sacrifices a certain period of their career because they want to bring in a new life.// This is another drivel/belief that is entrenched in the minds of people. What if "bringing a new life" as you try to so poetically put it is not as beautiful as it appears? What if it is a curse to women to have to undergo pregnancy? Feel pain and discomfort as pleasure? Come on, it's so easy to say that. //It's a call of the nature that only women can get pregnant & they can't be working actively at that time!// No, this is also shaped by millions of years of belief. It's evolutionary belief. Women had an attachment towards making babies for some reason, which is why it sustained. If women do not want to have babies from now, nature will choose another alternative and let go of women. Now evolution is fast. If women don't want children, you will see just in a few years, some of the women will not have the tendency to procreate. //Sultan is a very well made film with a taut script & brilliant performances from it's cast.// No, Sultan has many flaws and holes and is a tad cliched too. It's not taut, perfect or brilliant. But the film worked into a good package, satisfying audiences (I too loved the film) which is why it achieved its blockbuster status. //A filmmaker doesn't make a movie to fit any existent opinions on pseudo feminism.// You believe filmmakers are innocuous in this age of in-film advertising, deliberately forging controversies to promote films, as with My Name is Khan? When Madison Agency would take a film script and thrust PR and controversial elements and subliminal in-film advertising into scenes and mask them? I am part of the film industries. I know what they do for PR, marketing and to generate talk. The film industries would go down to any level to do it. All beliefs are shaped. Even terrorist and gangster films are based on beliefs. Anurag Kashyap's films try to shape beliefs and change popular perception. Films do want to change the way people think. It's a reality. No filmmaker is just drawing out a street-drama piece. //Female folks around me have absolutely loved the film. They loved Aarfa & found her inspiring. It was a strong independent character who knew what she wanted.// It's too emotional and emotionally flawed, a very negative inspiration. // At the end you see her on wrestling field again, doing what she does best. We should be celebrating a strong character like Aarfa rather than pulling her down just because she didn't fit in our pseudo definition of pseudo feminism.// Funny. It reinforces the Muslim belief that goes like: "A woman should do what she wants to, along with her husband. She must not do it on her own." I have spoken to several Muslim men who have said such things. That's what the film shows. Not that she does it out of her own choice fully. // btw, suppose your mother was a very ambitious woman& if she had chosen to prioritize her ambition over you when you were in her womb, you wouldn't be born! Bow down to her & give her some respect!!!!!!!!!!// I would have been happy in my soul, if my mother did that. Why so emotional? Motherhood and all are understood but even the respect accorded is because men benefit out of women. I will tell you something. You will believe in problems of life, that life is this way, life is shit, women are like this, etc. including daily clashes and fights, only as long as you express some form of male chauvinism and control. Control someone, you are bound to get controlled. You will become miserable. It's far better to let women be their own. And feminism is not about careers either. It's about what has actually made her do it. That's the decision. In the film, it doesn't seem like herself. It's either idealizing such women or being just a crowd-pleaser for a sugary story development. And believe you me, Aishwarya Rai did not take to motherhood for what it is. I don't doubt her sense of being a mother nor can I comment on it. She can indeed be a good mother. But I will just tell you how things work with actresses. They keep constantly perceiving how their films are doing, like the business, box office collections, etc. When they realize they can't get it up, they do a pretense, a somersault, and suddenly proudly speak of motherhood to say they opted to it by choice. I am an industry insider, so I know how they work. The whole of media world, press and movies are all tricking you into believing one crap or the other. They will always do the same as far as they can mint money.
And read this reply of mine. You seem to be making great points: spicyonion.com/blog/anushka-sharma-on-sultan-salman-khan-raped-woman-controversy-what-does-it-mean/ Yes, exactly. I hope I don't look like spamming. I didn't like the character either. All these men here are happy because the character typifies a woman who pleases men, even if it's a woman's loss. These men have no regard for what the women wants and so you know "bringing a life into the world" are great things. Even Anushka seems to have to root for the character she played than being pure feminist because her aborting the baby would have affected the blockbuster status of the movie. Bhai fans wouldn't have been pleased with a woman who is defying him. So, it's a ploy by Ali Abbas Zafar and these men seem too pleased.
Once she said she has anxiety ..ppl who are high energetic high achievers cn hv high functioning anxiety, probably high energy means fast talking too..
And why do you think Anupama is bringing in Bhai's "Raped Woman" comment into the interview? That's called sensationalism my dears! Now, if it sensationalizes, it turns into more views, more discussions, even more views, media coverage and more money. So both the media and the movie industries and actors operate on these principles. Don't be fooled by anyone, be it actors or the press or the media. These are all close to scripted dramas that take advantage of each and every situation and event to make money. So, stop blindly supporting actors first.
Anupama you are a women and you interviewed salman as well and you know him pretty much then still you asked her about rape comment, grow up dear everybody knows he didn't meant that , was just a human pain he gone through while his training or shooting, you too have spoken worst words in your life then you apologised for that in public, everybody does mistakes dear,
I find anushka very sensible and honest. She has taken stand and making very plausible arguments and not fake good for the sake of it like many other actress.
What should Salman apologize about? He already said on that audio clip that he shouldn't have said that(In another words he regretted it). Now even Anupama is spreading lies that Salman didn't apologize and he should have.Good thing he stopped doing interviews with such people!
Both Aamir and Anuskha ignored that Salman retracted the statement within the same breathe of saying it. Anuskhas bf Virat is the most abusive/insensitive guy on the field.
Absolutely! Never expected this from Anushka. Salman should never work with these backstabbers & anupama Chopra is always anti Salman. That's why she asked such question to her as Salman doesn't give interview to her.
Issy _VD Salman said that after getting thrown around the ring he felt like a raped women. But later he said he shouldn't have said that which means he regretted it buuuut who cares?? Get your trp and views make a huge deal about it while the real rapist is out there.
Abhishek Mahanti In trailer launch anushka said that Salman is a very kind person he is very generous. And now she says I DON'T KNOW HIM AT ALL?! If that isn't backstabbing or hypocrisy then i don't know what more to say.
Have been watching the interviews on this channel for some time now, the best part is more focus on real things, related to craft and not really looking for sensational bytes. Also the interview setting/place are very refreshing, respite from the fixed setup or one with show name screen behind. Good job.
Speaking or Criticising on / against Salman Khan in Bollywood is no lesser than doing something against a Mad King. She has guts to tell the truth. Kudos for that Anushka.
she is one inspiring lady.. she has all the guts to stand up what she truly believes in without sucking up to anyone..!

Actors, directors, creative people all are philosophers. They see world differently..they are more of a right side brain people than left side.
What a refreshing interview! I need more of Kangna and Anoushka on Film Companion!! I'm sure a lot of people out there what agree.
The fact that in a Salman movie, the heroine has a proper characterization itself is great achievement. Let's be happy about it...
hahahaha yeah
Yesssssssss
Except for movies like wanted, Tubelight or few more, all salman movies has strong female characters.
His character is driven by women in his life.
she is an intelligent and honest woman
nice nice nice🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
she has guts!
respect
if she had guts then she should have spoken about it earlier..in the promotions. why didn't Se do that ??
+SR Bee she can't risk a failure. the producers the directors all worked hard on the movie. Anushka worked hard. she deserves that success. this is not just Salmans movie

She is so damn honest...being a celebrity she has dat innocent motive of carrying water from sultan set to her own production.
I absolutely loved SULTAN & I absolutely loved her character in the film.

Absolutely right. I don't get why people are calling this regressive.
You don't seem to get the point. Writers are questioning what motivates her towards taking that decision. There is still the societal influence behind most of her flawed decisions in the movie. Just because it is a comfortable choice for men and pleases men, it doesn't have to be rooted for.

Always love your interviews with Anushka Sharma. You ask the right questions, and she is honest enough to give you an answer. Otherwise it's so predictable and boring with questions like "how was it shooting," and "did you do pranks on set, ...".
thats why i love anushka sharma..❤️
True :)

ಪರಮಾತ್ಮ ಏನ್ ಇಷ್ಟೊಂದ್ ಬರ್ದಿದಿಯ!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
she's honest, sassy at times, confident and genuine.Amazing IV. Also anupama is really pretty.
Love this girl ! So bright and beautiful ...
Well spoken Anushka. BTW, you look gorgeous.
Love you Anuska!
she got the charm and guts ;)
Love You Anushka! Brave,Bold,Brutally Honest & Beautiful
Why are we looking for gender equality between movie characters and that too in a Salman movie. That's an oxymoron in itself.
Well, this sounds like sarcasm to me :)
Dinesh Babu There is no sarcasm there. I am being as direct as possible
True that!
💯
very clear in her thoughts.
i loved this one as well , sometimes i wonder that it is your genius as a journalist or you just get lucky with outspoken guests on your show , such is the level of comfort and ease i feel when i watch your interviews .
So true!
The dhaaga shows how simple she is and the humbleness . Success and money haven’t changed who she is.
she's honest, i love that
Now she is going to have her own little one 🥺❤
Thanks god ! Anupama ji that you didn't say sultan is Cartoon Network cause for you every Bollywood movie is like Cartoon. Love Sultan !!!
anushka looks gorgeous
Respect increased for Anushka.... as she said she will not abort a baby irresponsibly in the name of empowerment and feminism!
Brilliant interview. Very sensible responses by Anushka.
she is just trying to justify her role ...love u anushka ..more power to u
Movie was fine and entertaining but the approach towards her character was same old and a bit regressive.. ambitious women who gives up her dream after marriage/motherhood and that was sad. Mary Kom nd her story is encouraging and empowering..
But Anushka was amazing as Arfa and I luv her :)
For your kind info, she does go back to wrestling
Saurav Malla I have seen the movie so keep your info to yourself. you didn't find it regressive that's your opinion.
Why you want every one to agree with you !!
same old and regressive? have you ever seen another female wrestler role in bollywood (apart from mary kom)? and it's not regressive in my opinion she had a choice and she wanted to be a mother...btw she continued w wrestling afterwards
Caan Byc that dialogue was way too regressive for me "mujhe mera gold mil gaya"
and relax ..I never said movie was bad... bt plz that attitude was not good. And it is my opinion, you be happy with yours
+Megha Lall wow you've got one hell of an attitude women. If you want to keep your opinion to yourself then why don't you just shut up instead of posting comments. If you post then u should be aware of criticism.
I literally searched for anushkas interviews ... Literally want to seeee so much more of her interviews
she sounds like a passionate actress
You are honest anushka! I'm a fan!
What I really like is she accepted the fact that celebrities should be more aware of what they are saying..and she used the word celebrity twice
Well said anushka..!!
Both Aamir and Anuskha ignored the fact that Salman retracted his statement within the same breathe of saying it. Anuskhas bf Virat is abusive/insensitive on the field.
I respect you anushka mam a lot :)
So honest n candid conversation 😊😊
Anushka Sharma is Real and clear thoughts ! She is Educated and Beautiful Actress and well talented 😊
i just love Anushka so much!
Awesome interviewAnupama u have a way to frame questions which never crosses the bar nd hits the right point...anushka luv u...be like this..straightforward..always
Oh you two beautiful,Intelligent women 😘
I just keep searching for your interviews.
More power to you.
So beautiful Anushka looks here ❤️❤️🧿and she is so so honest.. always love her 🥰
New respect for Anushka.
bravo ... wow anushka .. I lv u even more now
One of the best interviews on FC! Great people :)
honestly, i'm impressed. she seems like an honest and thinking individual. she thought about the moves she made with her career and the roles she took, so now she doesn't need to rely on untruths and overly zealous PR spin room crap to defend herself. I hope she keeps up the quality control.
Anupama u are wonderful, please let your production guys to check for the room they choose for any interview, this one the voice is Echoing........
I love Anushka so much
I really love Anushka so much!!
You are amazing and have great personality
thanks for such a interview... luv d way u r blunt wth content n brainnnn...thanks for representing usss...luv anuskha as person mree..
best interview good job anu
i love her. she's so smart and frank
Anushka was amazing (Sultan)🇸🇷🇹
Such an honest person!!❤️❤️
atleast put a spoiler alert
Anushka sharma is AMAZING !! 😥👌
Loved the interview
She's so amazing #anushkasharma❤
Confidence ❤️❤️🤗⭐
Currently anushka sharma is the best Bollywood actress.her acting level is good
truly inspirational woman !!!!
Cheers
If I truly admire an actress of today's bollywood. Its Anushka. Because of how real it feels when she acts in her movies
I love her....truely madly deeply....😍😍😍
I had a lot of respect for her up until NH10 then she just decided to sell out.#pseudofeminist
agreed
Agreed!!! It was regressive!!
Ahh thank u for the certification :D
Thank yourself for certifying others too :p
this interview of Anushka has more dislikes, then her 1 year's old interview with Anupama..probably bcz of her sayings ...on Salman Khan. what the hack.😏😏
Anushka is loved by everyone
Wonderful interview
Now this beautiful woman is a mother ❤️
this movie will be forgotten in 3"months, regressive and progressive in a bloody movie? its entertainment , fiction, not a life angel for heavens sake, why scrutinize every scene? Indians are getting more obsessed by the minute! chill
Anushka: I don't really know Salman. He is intimidating.
***True, you don't know him***
It is a new trend to make every plot, every character, a discussion point for performance review, feminism and gender equality among characters.
The brain.
Anushka, it's not about if a girl will abort if she is pregnant. it's about the following:
We are talking about fiction stories. And all the characters are not perfect like a normal human
Superb, Subhalakshmi Kumar, read my point-by-point reply to Sourav's comment above:
Aarfa made that fee choice. Her love for her baby stopped her pursuing her ambition. There was absolutely nothing wrong in it.//
See feminism and progressive stances often imply that this drivel of family is more important is a make-believe cast upon women. And it's not love for baby.
She says she wants him to be happy and so she carries the baby. That's what she says, after the confirmation.
//It's a fight for equal rights & the ability to make free choices without anybody's pressure.//
Still, what is implied in feminism is that society and movies and TV try to project certain way of life (in this case family), as something of more value than other ways of life, say, an independent woman who is more practical and pragmatic in her life, a career woman, a wrestler and even a woman who can have casual sex.
A film's message to the viewers is what it idealizes, what it projects as the holy. In this case, Aarfa's giving it all up is projected as holy. It gets idealized. It will lead other unaware women to believe, "Oh that's how we must be, that must be my way of life."
You have no idea what kind of conflicts and problems these kinds of false beliefs will bring to a woman.
//Almost every women sacrifices a certain period of their career because they want to bring in a new life.//
This is another drivel/belief that is entrenched in the minds of people. What if "bringing a new life" as you try to so poetically put it is not as beautiful as it appears?
What if it is a curse to women to have to undergo pregnancy? Feel pain and discomfort as pleasure? Come on, it's so easy to say that.
//It's a call of the nature that only women can get pregnant & they can't be working actively at that time!//
No, this is also shaped by millions of years of belief.
//Sultan is a very well made film with a taut script & brilliant performances from it's cast.//
No, Sultan has many flaws and holes and is a tad cliched too. It's not taut, perfect or brilliant. But the film worked into a good package, satisfying audiences (I too loved the film) which is why it achieved its blockbuster status.
//A filmmaker doesn't make a movie to fit any existent opinions on pseudo feminism.//
You believe filmmakers are innocuous in this age of in-film advertising, deliberately forging controversies to promote films, as with My Name is Khan?
It was a strong independent character who knew what she wanted.//
It's too emotional and emotionally flawed, a very negative inspiration.
// At the end you see her on wrestling field again, doing what she does best. We should be celebrating a strong character like Aarfa rather than pulling her down just because she didn't fit in our pseudo definition of pseudo feminism.//
Funny.
Bow down to her & give her some respect!!!!!!!!!!//
I would have been happy in my soul, if my mother did that.
You seem to be making great points:
spicyonion.com/blog/anushka-sharma-on-sultan-salman-khan-raped-woman-controversy-what-does-it-mean/
Yes, exactly.
She talks too fast! No offence. Huge Anushka fan here!
Once she said she has anxiety ..ppl who are high energetic high achievers cn hv high functioning anxiety, probably high energy means fast talking too..
Please have anushka for pari again. I’m so waiting ❤️ please please
She's really inspirational
Her character was bold and strong. Beautiful young with new idea
There is a reason Virat is in love with her !
P.s don't watch this interview unless you have seen the movie first.
And that was a nice 'cover' drive...
+FilmCompanion, and wasn't it regressive when Arfa clearly says no to Sultan's advances multiple times, and he doesn't relent?
I love Anushka hot , attitude girl ..honest n simple person 💪😎
What statement ??
Issy _VD Salman said that after getting thrown around the ring he felt like a raped women. But later he said he shouldn't have said that which means he regretted it buuuut who cares?? Get your trp and views make a huge deal about it while the real rapist is out there.
Abhishek Mahanti In trailer launch anushka said that Salman is a very kind person he is very generous. And now she says I DON'T KNOW HIM AT ALL?! If that isn't backstabbing or hypocrisy then i don't know what more to say.
This is real face of Anushka Sharma...apologetic of her own hypocrisy.
Shouldn't there be a 'Spoiler Alert' disclaimer??
I love this interview!
Have been watching the interviews on this channel for some time now, the best part is more focus on real things, related to craft and not really looking for sensational bytes. Also the interview setting/place are very refreshing, respite from the fixed setup or one with show name screen behind. Good job.
My forever favorite Anushka Sharma di❤❤❤
She could've handled this interview so much more gracefully. I agree with her, but she's just so aggressive!
Love her ❤
