@@apurvagautam3605well, you can’t because you have to connect your toilet with the general evacuating of « dirty water » (as we say in France ) of the rest of the building.
One of the best designed homes I've seen on this channel! The bathroom was very nicely done given the challenging tight space, really loved the tile selection.
Agreed! It's one of my favorites. Very elegant yet unpretentious, and very functional. I would have asked for a little bit more storage room for things like vacuum cleaner, iron board, and some other cleaning stuff, plus make sure there's room under the bed to store suitcases. Otherwise, absolutely perfect.
Gorgeous home. Love how the custom built cabinetry to accommodate the un-square walls provides functionality but also unexpectedly converts the un-square walls into positively interesting architectural features.
One of the cleverest designs on extremely challenging tight geometric space, I don't know how he did it but amazing !!! The tricks are very appealing to make it feel spacious, and yes because we had to get a living room, I get that we lost a bedroom! The toilet could be turned into study or storage, & laundry could convert that into the toilet, but plumbing may not have allowed that !!! Very well done ❤
Love the mill work and customization in the kitchen. Those glass partitions are maybe one of the best features of any space on this channel. How they allow light to elegantly move through the space is wonderful. Very jealous.
When I was a child, a long time ago, houses tended to be draughty so we had big heavy sometimes velvet curtains on all exterior doors and some interior doors.
The shape & original layout of the apartment is ridiculous! 😂 Thank you for reimagining & breathing new life to this apartment. Everything turned out beautiful. I love how every single space is utilized. ❤
@@jowang6883 beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It hides the door, which usually does not correspond to the rest of the interior design. I like the idea. Whether the specific execution of the idea I'd beautiful is a matter of taste.

It feels cozy yet, somehow, luxurious. My heart likes it but my (microbiologist's) brain says otherwise because of the close proximity of the toilet to the kitchen. I really liked the bathroom--so chic. Also, they have made great choices with the furniture and cabinetry.
What is unhygienic about this? As a microbiologist you should have already known that 99% of the microflora on your stool is the same with that in your guts. Does the latter kill you? It's infected water that can kill you or raw, unwashed food. Germ theory is actually false. Hello?
That kitchen is the highlight od this beautiful apartment! It feels really grand and well-equipped and the whole place feels large, open, bright and just homey! EDIT: The toilet is really unforunately placed though... but I guess that's just where it can be...
Expensive but gorgeous! Incredible optimisation of the space available and beautiful and elegant finishes. Loved everything except the toilet close to the kitchen, I would have done everything to move it somewhere else.
So much to love here. The size and layout of the kitchen and adding a banquet that seats four is really nice. I'm not a big fan of the dark brown cabinets as it reminds me of the dark paneling that was popular in the 1970's. So many other wonderful colors to choose from, but, this is a personal preference, not a criticism. And I loved that shower, really luxurious looking.
The apartment as a whole is beautiful in design, functionality and overall ascetics. I might have made a few other furniture and decor choices in the living room, but that's a quibble. We even got to see the interesting electric lighting choices in action! _Chef's kiss._
@synnae1 yes, it looks like it's made for containing food for one or two people, so most probably he has lunch at work or dines out. He lives in a small space after all.
@@steampunkster2023It said at the beginning of the video that they mainly live in a house in the countryside. So this apartment is only used occasionally.
@@synnae1 I love Smeg fridges. They are very stylish, energy efficient, quiet and very well-made. They come in all sizes but of course, they don't make gigantic sizes that Americans are used to. They are more suitable for typically smaller European flats and not for McMansions or country piles.
I would put one of those hand washing fountains that rest on top of the toilet tank. You have to straddle the wc as you turn around to wash your hands, but the gray water from hand washing goes into the tank as you wash hands and you're using gray water to flush your bowl before it becomes black water. Paying it forward and using no additional space.
Very nice. Mirrors are obvious for small spaces but they really do make a difference. I was hoping he would explain the thinking behind the curtain covering the front door. Was painting the inside of the door to match the walls not an option?
Insulation against drafts in autumn/winter? Also, sound insulation? Maybe they prefer to look at the curtain instead of the back of the door. What else? 😊
What an absolutely gorgeous apartment! I loved the bathroom. It looks like a spa at a resort. The tiles and the stone sink give it a luxurious feel. I agree with the other people who have commented though and I believe that the toilet in the kitchen should switch spots with the washer/dryer in the bathroom. That way everything bathroom-related could be in one place! Other than that spectacular design given the crazy floorplan :)
I love all of the natural light in this apartment. The mirrors make the space look bigger and reflect light. I also love what they have done to the bathroom. (The tiles are marvelous.) Overall, the place is quite functional despite being so small. The idea of painting the ceiling is very cool too. The place looks more staged than lived in, but I get that it is only used when the owners are in town. It gives more of an Airbnb vibe, but that's just how it goes, I guess. All of the white walls make it a bit bland but reflect the light well. I would create/paint an accent wall to add more color, contrast, and warmth to the place. The designer should be very proud of his work.
This is one of my favourite designs ever on NTS, I would immediately move in. Only the kitchen chairs and couch tables are things I would change, since I don’t personally like the chrome tube style
I would switch the bedroom and the living room. Then the bathroom can be accessed through the bedroom and you could connect the living room and kitchen.
Really well done. Super smart, cozy space. Beautiful and comfortable too.😊 I like the wc far from shower/lavatory, but if you dont have top notch ventilation, the entrance to your home can be periodically smelly. Also, for lavatory there, I would put one of those hand washing fountains atop the wc tank. You do have to straddle wc bowl as you turn around to wash hands, but so efficient as your gray water from hand washing drains into tank for flushing the bowl next time. Very efficient. (Nice to have some sort of handwashing option before you bring toilet germs into kitchen.) You could use the bidet hose to wash hands in a pinch, but v awkward and potentially quite messy. I wouldn't like that.
Awesome! Maybe it would have been too expensive but the toilet where the washer/dryer is and the washer/dryer where the toilet is off the kitchen? Not ideal but toilets that close to the kitchen are less ideal? I don’t usually like dark kitchens but this one worked really well and did create a luxury feeling!

The decor and design are stunning, but the lay out is quite unconvenient. The less I would do is switching the laundry and WC. Makes much more sense having WC in the bathroom and access from the living room, and laundry in the kitchen. If you're in the bedroom, you have to go to the living room, then to the kitchen and then to the toilet 😅 Weird... I'd also switch the kitchen/dining and the bedroom, I'd prefer to have a kitchen, dining and living room altogether, and then a door to enter the bedroom from the living room and another door to enter the bathroom from the living room as well, but that's up to taste. For me, such a lay out makes much more sense. (In that case I'd move the laundry space, probably to the place where the living room storage is currently located). Anyway, beautiful design! Cheers!
Really, really beautiful! Loved all of the spaces! I'm just a little bit concerned about the wine storage. A fridge gives off heat, so that corner might be a bit too warm for wine.
Very beautiful, but in Italy where I live toilets cannot be placed in kitchens for sanitary reasons... and rightly so! Imagine a guest who has to use the bathroom while you are cooking for dinner... not the best experience for both!
I love the dark wood and soft white, and the “window” between the kitchen and bedroom looks great and adds nice light to the kitchen. While I understand the point of the mirrors, personally I’d take them out. I find them distracting. Is the draft from the door so bad that you really need a frumpy curtain to cover it. Just looks silly to me. But those two things are minor - the layout, colours, and furnishings are great!
