  • Vietnam attracts significant foreign investment, with Singapore emerging as a major investor. Historical ties, industrial parks, acquisitions, and robust trade are driving this trend, impacting Vietnam's economy positively. Singapore may soon become the leading investor, boosting economic growth in Southeast Asia.

I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

Precisely because it is reliable and trustworthy with stronge rule of law, that is what causing some people to be jealous of Vietnam. Those investment could have gone to other places to benefit other country people. Instead the money flows into the Vietnamese economy to expand the income and gdp of Vietnamese. Be careful of jealous people who spread lies to destabilized the Viet-Sing relation. They actually want those investment into their own country. VinGroup's CEO Pham Nhat Vuong also owns VinFast. VinFast front model and logo were exact copies of China's Changan Automobile back in 1950's. There is a reason why zero Vinfast car was sold in Europe after it failed safety standards there for 5 years after much fanfare for its Paris Auto Show with big ticket hired spokesman Beckham in 2018. There is a reason why Michael Lohscheller resigned as CEO after only 6 months seeing the scam from the inside. VinFast is part of VinGroup whose numerous enterprises ended up being short-lived, including convenient stores, clothe lines, smart phones, rice-cookers, stock-trading platform, gas cars, e-bikes, and soon-to-be electric cars. Even Vietnamese Commie newspapers indicate that Chairman Vuong's real goal is to take this so-called company on US market IPO, sweep the cash, then flee like a bandit. He created the vast wealth for VinGroup only through using VinGroup as a conduit to sell robbed lands of poor Vietnamese citizens by colluding with the brutal Vietnamese Commie regime who directly did the land-robbing. All true. Do your independent research.

LKY asked the education ministry for results of all the ASEAN scholars studying in Singapore and he found that the top scorers were usually Vietnamese students. Since Singaporean Chinese are mainly from South China, we are the same people as the Vietnamese. In ancient times, the indigenous population in the Yangtze Basin were known as the Yue or Bai Yue. The term Yue is Chinese term for Viet in Vietnamese so Southern Chinese people are actually closer to Vietnamese then Han Chinese. In fact we were never Han Chinese. It was a label the Han conquerors imposed on us after having ethnically cleansed the Yues. And I when I watched a video on a slum in Vietnam, I observed that the place is very clean and tidy. It was very quiet because practically everybody had gone out to work. Old ladies gathered to do home-based work such as peeling ginger while children sat on the floor doing their homework on a low stool. As long as Vietnam is still ruled by the oppressive and exploitive Communist regime, her potential remains greatly diminished. For any 1% that wants to stay, 99% of the population wants to get out, and many have risked their lives doing just that (for example, 39 doomed lives found in UK container truck recently on the news, and that's only what's been reported), unfortunately. Yet another shocking and also recent example is that during the Covid pandemic when almost all countries assisted their citizens with financial aids in one form or another, the corrupt and murderous Vietnamese Commie regime saw it just as another opportunity not to help but to exploit its ruled citizens even more, essentially making money over the corpses of its citizens by presumably killing at least 30-50K of them, due to grossly misdiagnoses and being thrown into barbwired unhygenic living quarters for isolation, so that they had to sleep on concrete floor, even next to filled trashcans, with inadequate toilet, food, water, or medicine, like animals (searching hard enough, one is able to see shocking video clips on Facebook though the regime tried hard to crack down the leaks by Vietnamese citizen journalists), with the fake nostril Covid test kits, mislabeled as approved by World Health Organization (WHO) in Việt Á scandal, colluded by at least 4 different government agencies (Y Tế , Khoa Học, Công Nghệ, Quân y) and the top Politburo members, including Nguyễn Phú Trọng, Phạm Minh Chính, Nguyễn Xuân Phúc. Murderous Vietnamese Commie regime even had a thug murdered Christian pastor Giuse Trần Ngọc Thanh, like it has done with many other pastors across the nation. There is a reason why the current Commie Vietnam ranks at the bottom of the world in freedom of speech, (true) freedom of religion, and freedom of the press, barely above Commie China and Commie North Korea. There is no true freedom of religion in Commie Vietnam, as this corrupt Vietnamese Commie regime only authorized the fake organizations headed by Commie monks, many of whom were Commie Party officials, and those religious organizations not approved to be infiltrated by them or headed by their Commie agents are accused of malicious and nonexistent crimes and banned, with innocent religious leaders arrested and jailed, as in the recent case with Thiền Am Bên Bờ Vũ Trụ, a harmless Buddhist meditation monastery, for simply having many followers (hence, more influences that the regime fears it can't control) than the Commie Party's officially approved ones. Similarly, its passport ranks at the bottom, 89th out of 111 countries for a reason, barely above North Korea 104th rank. even below many African nations. For comparison, South Korea is at 2nd rank. That's what Republic of South Vietnam would have likely been ranked among at least the top 10 had it not been invaded and occupied by the North Vietnamese Commie terrorists, aided by Commie Soviet and Commie China. Search "cuop dat dan" (meaning "land-robbing of citizens") to see millions of footages across the country from North to South, spanning for decades, dated back to Ho Chi Minh's bloody land reform 1953-1956 that killed nearly 1 million North Vietnamese in only 4 years, or 250K people brutally slaughtered in torturous painful deaths (like being shot, stabbed, mutilated while being alive, or heads being plowed over by water buffaloes while bodies being buried underground) each year on average to rob their lands and homes. Even today, if the rightful owners refuse to have their homes or lands robbed, the ruthless Vietnamese Commie terrorist regime simply jail or massacre them, have tractors run over their bodies or openly assassinate them in their own homes. When it comes to robbing, these barbarian Vietnamese Commie bandits even prey on each other, just as the recent case with then 84-year-old Mr. Lê Đình Kình, a 55-year-Commie Party veteran from Dong Tam, near Hanoi, that got shot dead at 3am in his own home by the Vietnamese Commie terrorist regime. When his wife Mrs. Dư Thị Thành refused to lie about the incident as ordered, the Vietnamese Commie terrorist police brutally tortured her (see more details from "dandongtam" on Facebook). The corrupt Vietnamese Commie government officials routinely dine on lavish gold-plated Salt Bae steak $100K per meal with blood money not just from taxpayers but also from robbed-lands and robbed homes recently drew international condemnations, while many Vietnamese citizens, including elderlies in their 60's and 70's as well as kids as young as 6's to 16's selling lottery tickets on the streets to survive on $2-3 per day. Even Phạm Nhật Vượng the richest man in Vietnam (via his VinGroup) made the bulk of his wealth mainly by colluding with the barbarian Vietnamese Commie regime in selling their robbed-lands from Vietnamese citizens. Travelers to Vietnam in her current form (not at all like this before the Communists took over) should keep this in mind. Behind the beauty of the land and smiling faces at popular tourist destinations, there are a lot of darkness and tears, bloods, sweats, sorrow, horror, and sufferings all over the country.

Indeed, there's been a significant influx of Singaporean investments in Vietnam. But most of the Money are from China. The Vietnamese government has put up some barriers for direct Chinese investments, showing a preference for other sources. However, the Chinese have come up with a workaround by partnering with Singaporeans as intermediaries to invest in Vietnam. They tend to remain discreet in the process, but that's how substantial funds flow into Vietnam.I'm from Singapore and actively engaged in the financial sector here in Vietnam.

Also it’s worth to mention that Singapore in 2019 investments in China exceeded 290 billion USD, And Korean investment in China also exceeded 272 billion USD. To put in perspective total foreign direct investments in China from other countries so far is over 10 times of Vietnam as most Western countries have not invested as much as Asian countries have done. Sometimes media seems amplify small area or an angle rather tell people the whole picture or whole truth. Yes investment in Vietnam has grown but it’s still long way to catch up, especially in education, science and technology.
Cheap labor doesn’t advance its economy, you need more scientists, engineers, university professors, doctors and researchers and together with intelligent labor forces to achieve economic prosperity. Vietnam will succeed, but still be a long way.

Singapore beats all the countries of the world not just Malaysia. When and why? When Singapore became a money laundering hub replacing Switzerland. Where did 1mdb money flowed through? Where did those bogus Chinese international citizens bring into and were caught because China insisted?
Your GDP is not real and your GDP per capita is not real. Otherwise you guys are all millionaires and would not be caught trying to fill up in JB with our subsidised fuel.

GDP per capita is among the highest in the world. 75% of Singaporeans are Chinese.

It's true that Vietnamese Commie regime has been Commie China's puppet since 1941 when Chinese puppet leader Ho Chi Minh (Chinese name was Ho Quang or Hu Kwan) brought Commie Chinese flag from Fujian Province to make it flag of North Vietnam, then national flag of Vietnam after North Vietnamese Commie terrorists successfully invaded the free and prosperous Republic of South Vietnam and turned the whole country into sh*t hole it is today with high crimes, rampant corruption, systemic cronyism, non-existent human rights, massive abuses at all levels, stricken poverty, alarming pollutions in air and water, contaminations in food, fake food, fake vaccines, fake medicines, fake school diploma, fake money, fake gold, fake cosmetics, fake clothing, fake shoes, fake bags, fake elections, fake everything except over-the-top air and water pollution and life misery index that make 99% of the population want to get out of this Commie sh*thole whenever they can, as evidenced by 39 ill-fated lives found in UK container truck recently on the news and the all too familiar yet heart-breaking scene to foreign tourists in Vietnam's having to witness elderlies in their 60-70 along with kids 6-12 of ages selling lottery tickets on the streets across Vietnam to earn their subsistent livings $2-6 per day, while the utterly corrupt Vietnamese Commie government officials routinely dine on $100K meals at Salt Bae restaurants that also recently drew international condemnations. So proud, right comrade? Yeah, US is so bad that people worldwide risk their lives to come to US, while Commie Vietnam is so good that 99% of the its population want to get out, and many have also risked their lives to do just that. Tell us more about it while ask yourself why even the Commie Vietnamese government officials themselves have been laundering their loots and their kids overseas not to any Commie "paradises" but to US and other Wetsern nations.

Due to the anti-communist policy of Singapore, Singapore supported South Vietnam before the unification of Vietnam. Probably because of the support, south and north Vietnam are united. So it is heading for prosperity and not trouble.
