I've just been through dozens of versions and covers of Ms. Grant's song, looking for somebody who "got" the song instead of just taking the technical challenge to do it. Finally somebody who gets it. The song truly came from your heart instead of your head, and it was a blessing to hear. Well done.
Hey Carly, thanks for sharing this. This song is one of the most epic piano pieces in all of CCM, and I found out two days ago that I'm supposed play it as part of a special for our Christmas service in a few weeks. I'm no concert pianist, so it's incredibly intimidating, but youtube videos like yours are a big help. I'm think I'll borrow some of your beautiful intro. I was having trouble coming up with a way to make it appropriately soft and whimsical as a solo, and you did a fantastic job.
