Thanks! I definitely learned my lesson with getting work done by cheaply priced self proclaimed professionals. Will definitely stick to the big names out there.
Thanks! That's what I try to do. With the help of Ohare of course. A good way to to save $1000s on a CT for a similar look! In the future may be doing some of the custom work myself.
I also have a 5.5. Do I need to take off the bottom plate before soaking in Acetone? I’m only wanting to change the colors everywhere but the top line.
If you're just changing the paint I wouldn't soak it at all. You're also loosening up all of the adhesive inside the putter. I would go get a gel type paint remover and do it that way.
Hello! Enjoying your channel! I wondered if you knew, would O'Hare be able to mill a specified cavity in the face of a 303 ss putter for an insert? I have kne I love but just needs to lose weight and I have a lightweight material for the inserts I like to use.
What solution do you use to clean things up after you've applied paint? I stamp and paint fill my own wedges (often multiple colors) and have issues with paint smearing using pure acetone. Do you use a diluted solution? Seems to work very well for you. Appreciate any help / feedback in advance! Just finding and enjoying your channel.
It's acetone. You SHOULD wait for it to be completely dry. But also, you can't soak whatever you're using to wipe it. Just a little damp piece of paper towel, and don't push down hard. That way it only gets the outside of the stamps.
@Kris Woodley Honestly. Because they sell those odd sizes and offer any color practically for cheap I'll still buy from them, but the quality could be better I think. My first one I had my putter sitting up against my work bench and it fell over and the middle of the shaft hit a plastic box and it scratched it down to the metal. 🤷♂️
I've been hesitant to buy not knowing the quality. I appreciate your feedback. Being the only option out there really that's a reasonable price, I may just pull the trigger. Thanks. Amazing work you're doing too. It's a lot of fun to watch the process.
@igolf906 yeah I got a welded odyssey as at the time they didn't offer a full offset option with one of the heads.. had to get it welded from Japan.. haha I suppose ur right with what people want 😅
@ToraxReborn also one of my next videos will be a personal gamer of my own. Wanted a certain style Scotty in center shaft. So had to get that custom done.
Being there isn't a CT logo on it, it's not going to pass as a fake. That's not the purpose here. I just love the style of most CTs and this is a cool, affordable way to have that look, without spending $1000s.
So so cool, just love black and silver finish!!!
Thanks!
This is amazing man. Absolutely stunnung.
Thanks!
That turned out great!! 🍻 Nice work
Thank you!
Great job well done!!
Thanks!
Another nice one!
Thank you!
Amazing weld repair especially considering how bad the first weld was! Simply amazing work, keep up the good work!

That turned out awesome!🔥🔥🔥
Thank you! A little setback with that first weld job but overall I'm loving it!
damn that black on black is fucking mint! so nice
Thanks! I thought it looked pretty nice myself.
I use the same Drexel bits for a while now. they work great. I just finished one of these but used a knuckle neck. great job
Dremel
JT has a knuckle neck but I'm not a big fan of them so decided to go simple.
Stunning man! You really know how to make a OTR look like a CT!

@@igolf906 Great point. Appreciate it. Love the videos!
Another great looking Putter right there. Whats the stuff you put down just before the paint fill to give it the shine look?
Isopropyl alcohol. A thin film of that in all the Dots let's the paint flow nicely, and keeps it glossy and bubble free
🔥
Another killer job man. 👍 So why didn't you have O'Hare do the welding on the neck? I saw what a great job they did on your other scotty.
Thanks. He doesn't offer that service quite yet. We were talking about it for a bit and he might in the future!
Hi! What type of finish does the shaft has?
This particular shaft was finished with Cerakote.

I don't think he would offer that but you could ask. If you want a particular shape it's probably going to be pretty costly.

@@igolf906 Thanks so much for the feedback. I'll give this a try next go round!
What shaft did you use for this guy?
Got it from Siege Customs
Where did you find the black .390 shaft?!
Trade secret 😎
Nah. Got it from Siege Putters. But I will be working on blacking out my own shafts soon.
That was the only place I could find them as well. How is the quality of it?

What grip did you use?
This one was a Grip Master. High end leather grips I tried out.
What was wrong with the original hosel?
Nothing was wrong. But to give it more of a custom "Tour" style look, I thought to add a weld to the hosel as almost all CT putters have.
What was the point of weld marks?
Cosmetics. A lot of Tour putters have custom welded hosels.
@igolf906 yea, as a former tour player myself I get that, but we'd want stock if we could 😄 as it's a lot cleaner.
@ToraxReborn You should take a look at all the newer high end Tour Scotties. A ton of them have welded hosels. And people like what they like so 🤷

Do you buy these putter heads used off of someone?
This is one of my personal gamers. And most if my work is done for customers .
as nice as your work is,i have a problem with people making fake CT's, thats all
