I see you have one of the base models of the Ferrofish converters... how do you find these? They are the cheapest in the field... well, cheapest on Thomann anyway lol
@TigroGumi the one I have is the Pulse 16 DX. They are brilliant. Tested multiple converters and these out performed other more expensive converters. I'd highly recommend them for mixing.
@@AudioAnimalsStudio Paul, helped me make the choice of Ferrofish. You should note that RME is coming out with a new interface series called FireNet. They should release a new 16 in and Out converter next month called M-1620 Pro & the Dante version M-1620 D. Something to consider. You can search on TH-cam for the videos. They are very short but you can confirm what I am talking about.
@TigroGumi 32 in 32 out is actually more than enough in here. I actually have 4 slots still available on it. So, there is no need to upgrade to 64 io at the moment. All the mixing gear is set up as channel strips on inserts. So no need for that to be in the Flock.
@ ah okay, that’s good… best to avoid the 10K upgrade. I’ve often thought if I was to build a recording and maxing studio I might need at least the VT… fortunately, only looking at mixing studio and production just for personal needs. I’d not need a flock yet because there’s going to be a maximum of 5 units… maybe less… things always cost more than you think so happy to end up with just the APB and a simple vocal chain lol
Maybe it should be mentioned that this person does not work for Audinate ? Your video title as well as his website is a bit confusing on the matter to say the least, do Audinate know about this person and approve the use of its name and branding etc ?
Thanks for the invitation Paul. Great studios you and Nick have.
@@gwsound was great to have you.

@ good to know… obviously a low price can be a deterrent for when window shopping
Especially with their A32 Pro models being much more, you’d wonder if the base models would be a bit low quality… but this is not the case it seems
@TigroGumi at some point, I'd add an A32 to this setup to expand the IO to 64 ins and out.

Will you think to upgrade the Flock to the VT or the full one at any point?... your racks are getting kinda thick lol

@Ebeneezergoode909 Yes, he mentions this very early on in the video.
