Oh I stayed in building 14 as well but in the upstairs unit. Best thing about staying there is that you can get out in the early morning before there are any tourist around and in the late afternoon as all the day visitors have left to get back before nightfall. I am surprised they don't block off the avalanche zone. 17:41 has a great view of the area with no trees...there's no trees as the avalanches take them all out on a constant basis. Or maybe they did and you just edited that part out- For those that don't know what an avalanche zone looks like it's pretty easy to spot in areas with lots of trees. Just look at the mountain and for sections that don't have trees that's an avalanche zone.
Yes, as you mentioned, a great advantage of staying at the lodge is that you can enjoy the surroundings peacefully in the early morning and late evening. We stayed over the Easter weekend, so it was early April in 2023. We didn't do much other than relaxing and enjoying ourselves. We stayed cozy, savored food and drinks, hiked around the lake area, and had some coffee in the cold, fresh air outside. I hope you have a great time!♥️

Which period in April did u stay? Early/mid or late April? I've booked the lake view room too! Any other activities worth doing arpund the area?
