I like how some quests from the companions are the same exact quests from Daggerfall. Like wild animal in the house, Aela gives animal hunting quests. Vampires in Requiem, are a real menace. There are like 3 main types of vampires (if i am not wrong), Regular, steel and ebony. And oh boy, you don't want to mess with ebony vampires, untill like lvl 40+. Good enchantments, and gear in general. Oh and btw, it seems like vampire dungeon is steel + ebony vampire. The knockdown thing is freezing breath. One more thing, you can strike from both sides of the horse, depending on mouse button. P.s.: And i remember doing jewelry to lvl blacksmithing. Then enchanting it with mudcrab souls for 1% magic resist. Leveling enchantment and blacksmithing, while getting funny amounts of gold.
I see you have found your first Ebony Vamp.. His level, while intimidating, isn't the key here. You need the proper equipment, magic resist first and foremost. To transition to midgame content, that's probably the most vital element to take care of.
The moment I saw you going for broken fang cave I knew you’d get demolished. Ebony vampires (the two guys at the end) are some of the strongest enemies you’ll meet all the way up untill the mid game. You’re no way near being close to taking them out for the moment so that will have to wait a few dozen more levels and gear upgrades.
You can tell the companions that you want another quest. You have no chance against end-game enemies at this level. Kill low-level enemies and beat up defenseless city dwellers for the companions to get into the club. - I recommend a visit to the malochite mine. Glass armor and weapons are very good. - You are not going to have enough perks to do everything that you want to do. It is going to be very difficult to invest perks into HA and also Evasion/ Light Armor. Both are great, but investing in both would be too many perks and unnecessary. However, you can just console the perks if you want to experiment with both armors. - If you prefer Heavy Armor, a two-hand heavy-armor orc is one of the most OP builds in Requiem. Heavy Armor just needs a few perks to be playable, and the companions have a HA trainer. - Blocking is also very good, and there are a couple of early Blocking perks that also work with 2-handed weapons. Learning to block will save your life in Requiem.
@@TheWandererPlays I always save before getting a Companions quest, because a Kill-a-Vampire quest is one of the random options. And killing an Ebony vampire is impossible in Requiem at low levels. But if I forget, I just turn that quest down and get an easy quest to beat up on an unarmed armorer or priest. - This is why Dead-is-Dead is a terrible idea for new players, you will never see anything beyond level 20, and fighting high-level enemies is where the reward is for all of the leveling-up. - Vampires are resistant to Frost and blunt weapons, but vulnerable to fire and bladed weapons. An Ebony Vampire is wearing armor that is resistant to Blunt (Warhammer) Damage. In Requiem, you want to plan ahead to do the max damage possible against a specific Boss using every weapon you can, sometimes crafting weapons specific to an enemy. - At level 20, there are plenty of bandits that need to be cleared out. And getting paid for the effort might pay for a house, or to buy crafting ingredients and potions. - An evasion 2h build will get more effective if you learn to block, bash, and dodge. See the series by Samirpls. - Potions of 2h, Magic Resist, and Fire, frost, and shock resist, are very helpful. Mages will one-shot you, but an evasion build can one-shot an average mage with a bow. - The potion of Smithing is only good for a short time, and only for tempering armor and weapons. So make all of the items you want to temper, then make sure you have all of the ingots you need in inventory, take the potion, and temper the items as quickly as possible. Save before taking the potion, because this is easy to screw up. - This is a great series, and exactly what this mod needs to get some much-deserved attention.
That just isn't true. The modpack includes a chest that can be crafted with 3 wood that gives you effectively infinite carry weight, and if you think that I wouldn't have painstakingly transferred all the iron armor and weapons from my enemies to it and then picked the chest back up at every location, all I can say is that you don't know me very well. I am a min/maxer. I don't even mind that kind of grind. I'll just put on an audiobook while I do the loot transferring in a location. What bugs me is all the editing required to edit that stuff out because the same people who complain about the carry weight will also complain about the excess inventory management shown on screen if I didn't make that one change.
Anniversary vanilla playthrough you can get 100 Smith, Alchemy, Enhancing in less than 3hrs even without infinite carry weight. Lockpick seems to be same as iron daggers spam before they changed it in anniversary edition but other ways to get skills fast if you want to.
I understand that take, however, one this is being patched very soon. Secondly, carry weight is only difficult for early game. You can get specific items at important quest and guild spots that will give yo 50 to 100. By the end of the game you'll have 500 to 600. This is more balance than not. However, I understand some people dislike this idea. Great Content though! Loving it so far.@@TheWandererPlays
i feel the same way, skyrim is such big game that after you do one dungeon it can take a day to sell everything so i always give myself a ton more carry weight just so i dont have to stop mid way through a dungeon. also skyrim is a magical land the way i give myself more carry weight is spell called deep vault n it's spell that cost zero magicka but it requires both hands n has a master level spell cast time n the deep vault has infinite storage the point is there are TONS of ways to get around carry weight. you can drop items n have a follower pick them up for unlimited carry weight. so i agree with your choice in carry weight@@TheWandererPlays
Haha classic Requiem/Vanilla game disconnect. Farkas casually orders a whelp to kill an ebony vampire. Just like that one time Aela told me to clear Darkshade... as my first quest. FYI Ebony vampires are lategame enemies in Requiem. This problem comes from the fact that Requiem is deleveled, while companion quest giver still works on vanilla game rules. There's nothing you can do beside metagame and tell them "hell nah" when they suggest this type of a quest. There's no way you could've done this quest. Maybe, just maybe if it was a basic or glass vampire, although even that still comes a bit later. But you got unlucky and rolled the strongest generic enemy that this game has to offer.
You can purchase restoration magic (scrolls) that repels undead at your location. OR hunt down the artifact of the goddess of light. Vamps are tricky and a late game foe. You may need assistance for that enemy.
Wandy i had the most terrible thing happen at my house last night. as everyone knows I'm quite the prolific reader, so throughout my whole life i have amassed an impressive library. well last night i had a fire and in burned it all down. i lost both books... and i haven even finish coloring in the 2nd...
Ik this here be a long shot but anyone know how to change the carry weight (cheat) cause I’ve looked through mcm and everything but I’m absolutely stumped even tried CCs still no luck
I always save these and watch them in the background whilst working from home - don’t ever stop making them
Same
I've had to stop watching them at work, as I end up ignoring the work and just watch his adventures 😂
I think attractive is very literal in this context. Rendered fat soap vs soap that smells like flowers is very different.
40:00 "Do not call up that which you cannot put down."
I guess those two necromancers didn't read Lovecraft.
That's the cleanest and most attractive ork I have seen in my life, for sure.
everyone who plays skyrim: Alvor gave me ton of free stuff at the beginning!
Wandy: (to Alvor) im gonna beat yo ass
lol

27:35 eesh, Skyrim has a nasty habit of doing this. From 0 to 100 real fast
There is a lot more at play than just skyrim here. Vamps are no joke in Requiem.
I see you have found your first Ebony Vamp..

What enemies are stronger? You mentioned they were strongest until mid game

Thank you, didn't realize asking for a different quest was an option. I'll give that a go.

The best weapon you could use is a Silver Great sword on vampires or on the undead, and if you have the spell Conjure Flame Atronach to help you.
Crafting the lockpicks is only partly broken because you have unlimited* carry weight. You wouldn't already be at 100 Smithing otherwise.

I've never heard that expression in my life 😅 sounds like a mom talking to her baby or dog

I'm guessing he's a gatekeeper to keep you from smelling like a dog and being op to early. 😂
Silver and fire work better against undead.
Ty, I'll have to make a silver warhammer/greatsword in that case.
You can purchase restoration magic (scrolls) that repels undead at your location. OR hunt down the artifact of the goddess of light. Vamps are tricky and a late game foe. You may need assistance for that enemy.

Is there still the stealth perk that lets you wear heavy armor without any stamina or speed penalties?
How about opening each book and flicking through the pages, that way if someone wants to read it, they can just pause the game.
let people in charge know? i thought noone was in charge in the companions lol
I think you leveled your smithing too high so the game thinks you're a higher level than you are
The voices of NPCs are very low in comparison with the volume of the commentary. Thanks for your videos!
I have noticed that as well. I maxed them out but still very low. I may need to lower everything else and just crank the volume way up.
Ik this here be a long shot but anyone know how to change the carry weight (cheat) cause I’ve looked through mcm and everything but I’m absolutely stumped even tried CCs still no luck
just google the console command, its permanent
Thebook literaly said "Steal"... Check the info on the book when you open the book not when it is on the ground....
