i heard your beautiful voice 16 years ago and replay it every so often as it is so delightful ....In another 16 years I will be 100 years young 🦘 graham in beautiful Western Australia 🦘
This is a beautiful lake on top of the mountains where tourists can sit on the boats and glide along the peaceful lake while beautiful songs are sung by maidens on boats parked at the shaded areas on the lake under the cliffs. I was there a few years ago and was intoxicated by the beauty of the landscape.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her music!!! I'm in the United States and would love to see and learn more about her, her music, her culture, ambitions, etc. I also personally know a few famous U.S. musicians and will mention her to anyone who listens. I hope she becomes an international star.
Jiuzhaigou is a historical part of Tibet. Tibetan name of the region is "Chu Tsa Gu" located in Amdo province, one of the 3 provinces of Tibet. It is in Amdo Khopo to be precise. Tibetan name has now been sinicized.
hey, everybody, this is not tibet, this is JIU ZHAI GOU Resort in SiChuan province of China, many tibetans live there, they are very happy to live there and they are very proud to be a Chinese Citizen for hundreds of years.
I replayed this song several times. I'm from Thailand. I love Chinese song. Since I search the word "Jiu Zhai Guo" and I saw this video and I fall in love with it then. ^^
ONE OF THE BEST SONGS AND VIDEOS EVER!!!!! Where can I download Tibetan music, this is really......PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!! Greetings from Belgium :) (where we have crappy music!!)
She has a really angelic voice, which opens deep inside our heart. What's with the Tibet and china thing going on here? Ain't Tibet another country by its own? They dun even speak mandarin.
Awesome !! There had been so many talented muso (musicians) come from that approximate part of the globe. Could it be because of The Water that they drink !! (Quote - If you want to see water, go to Jiuzhaigou)
Not sure, but I think she now goes by the name Gesangmeiduo. I hope this helps someone else find her. I found this song like 10 years ago and she came to my mind again
this valley is specifically in the Sichuan region of China (one of the places that has been devastated by the earthquake last year) it has recently become a very populated Tibetan settlement outside of Tibet for the Tibetans to wish to seek a better life (which makes sense, because this area is a lot more fertile, warm, and stuff than the high rocky mountains of Tibet)
To toctc: Unfortunately, the author of this song is not a tibetan, he is a Chinese called Jiang Xiangzhong. So we are enjoying a Chinese music describing beautiful tibetan tribe in Sichuan province of China. It's nothing to do with tibetan on exile in western countries.
I can barely believe how beautiful the topography is, especially 1:17, 3:27, 3:38, 4:06. I wouldn't mind living there for a while, especially if I could meet such a beautiful woman there ;-)
In light of the Tibet-China debate below, keep in mind that without the Chinese government, this place would not be preserved because several companies had already started logging in the forests. This is actually one good deed by the Chinese government. And about it's location .. It is actually located NORTH of Sichuan. A Chinese province. Not in Tibet. It is now a nature reserve and also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
@kgraywolf1 Many of her songs, which can be found here searching for "Kelsang Metok," can be found on iTunes and Amazon.com by searching for the name, Gesangmeiduo. There's also a song on iTunes called Ge Sang Mei Duo by and artist name of Deqianwangmu, but I'm not 100%certain is the vocalist is Kelsang Metok. I'm still trying to figure out what all of these different names mean. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find this one song of her's, yet; this Falling Love With Jiuzhaigou valley.
This song is so beautiful. I only know about 200 characters but it's amazing how repetitive those characters are, I could basically read the majority of this. :) Although it is pretty simple but beautiful Mandarin.
I'm not sure. In old Hmong oral history, the people of southwest were known as Man in the Hmong culture, which means fierce and ruthless; however, the term meaning was changed by the Chinese. In Hmong oral traditions, there existed three ancient groups of people, the Swa, the Man and Hmong. The people of southwest were regarded as brothers including the ancient Chinese.
@rachelseagroatt I have had no luck finding this one song, either. But if you like other songs by this same singer, she's listed on iTunes under the Chinese version of her Tibetan name: Geisangmeiduo.
SIGH.... Cant you people just enjoy the music... its a beautiful song, NOT a debate about China and Tibet.. Its just a pretty song. Get over your hate for each other peoples sheeeeesh!!!!
Wow, that's brilliant izk! You must be a fellow Chinese. I'm sure our government will allow all of them into Tibet because we are such an OPEN society that WELCOMES all religions and races.
@kgraywolf1 Another TH-cam user with the profile name of ikhamo tells me that "Kelsang Metok" is her name in Tibetan and "Gesangmeiduo" is the Chinese pronunciation/spelling of her name. So those songs on iTunes under the artist name of Gesangmeiduo, the ones with no corresponding TH-cam video, I'm trusting those are also Kelsang Metok and I'm going to get those, as well.
Tibetans in TAR and other provinces see themselves as not just ethnically and culturally same, but also have common political aspirations and wish to live together as one people.
tibet is known as the alps of china, alot of beautiful mountains like the french alpine mountains, tibetans could practice their arctic mountain warfare there
@kgraywolf1 I know the feeling, about making your day/month/year. I stumbled upon her videos by chance when looking for clips about throat singing. My initial thoughts, "Nice music, beautiful voice, pretty girl" but then I kept coming back for more. I could pour her into a glass and drink her; it's a thirst which I just cannot quench! I can't find enough about her music or her biography! So much of our current pop music just sucks. I wish China would unleash Kelsang Metok upon the world.
@beehfancy - You should just make the leap and go. But if I can recommend, don't stick with just the normal tourist places on the east coast (Beijing, Shanghai etc) They are great, but IMO much better to go further inland. Sichuan province is beautiful and so many things to see you can easily fill a 2 or 3 week trip and only see part of it. The people are wonderful and very friendly. Even if you don't speak any Chinese, they are very accomodating and helpful.
@kgraywolf1 I've only found one album, something about a heavenly marriage. I've found a couple singles on Amazon.com and iTunes suggests a few singles on other compilations. What other albums have you found?
Though I can't fully understand the frustration of Tibetans, we must remember that certain things can't be undone. I wish Tibet would be freed from Chinese rule, but see that this protest must be done with soft voice. Learn from the Dahlai Lama's wisdom and see this song as a praise for Tibet, so that people can hear the beauty of its people. I'm Catholic, but Buddhist beliefs are very similiar, to truly defeat our enemies we must do so through love, otherwise we become that enemy.
This a part of Tibet. We call it Gyutsa De Gu. Jiuzhagou is a manifestation of Chinese pinyin violence against Tibetan language and geography. Kalsang Metok is a pretty singer from Tibet.
Like many tourist spots in China this park is also widely exploited. Very crowded year round and the once peaceful valley is now turning into a urban city with roads and tunnels that destroys the land.
Hi there, what I mean is if she sings in English then people around the world will learn more about her cultute. She doesn't need to be fluent in the language. ABBA's success was partly because they started singing in English.
I know many of her songs can be found on iTunes under the name, "Gesangmeiduo." This Jiuzhaigou Valley song currently is not one of them. Does anyone know where else we can find her music? Is her music available on iTunes under any other names? Thanks for any help.

Absolutely magnificent. Yet another reward for perusing TH-cam. I am just getting to know Kelsang Metok...and falling in love. What a sublime voice!
hey, everybody, this is not tibet, this is JIU ZHAI GOU Resort in SiChuan province of China, many tibetans live there, they are very happy to live there and they are very proud to be a Chinese Citizen for hundreds of years.
Ich verbeuge mich der Schöheit der Kultur, dem Gold aus dem Herzen der Menschen, dem Tempel eines Traumes den ich niemals sah...
I replayed this song several times. I'm from Thailand. I love Chinese song. Since I search the word "Jiu Zhai Guo" and I saw this video and I fall in love with it then. ^^

Fantastic Video, wonderful song and

Her high notes are awesome but I love it when her voice goes a bit low like from 2:00 to 2:20. Beautiful scenery.
Beautiful video and she is pretty too!
真好聽!
should have more ladies dancing in more of the video.
Very nice! especially the lady singer at the beginning of the video!
Not sure, but I think she now goes by the name Gesangmeiduo. I hope this helps someone else find her. I found this song like 10 years ago and she came to my mind again

Bonpos are found in all parts of Tibet including in Tibetan ethnic places in Nepal, Bhutan etc.
@rachelseagroatt I have had no luck finding this one song, either. But if you like other songs by this same singer, she's listed on iTunes under the Chinese version of her Tibetan name: Geisangmeiduo.

Tibetans in TAR and other provinces see themselves as not just ethnically and culturally same, but also have common political aspirations and wish to live together as one people.
We all hope China can help all ethnic groups without destroying their culture. I'm with you on your comment.
Beautiful :))

If you noticed, she spun the prayer wheels counter clockwise on 00:50-53...that says it all.

great
@kkwan18 Jiuzhaiguo is North of Chengdu- sorry, I had to clear that up. South of Chengdu is less Tibetan and more Yi. Most of West Sichuan is Kham.
Потрясающе!!! Красиво!!! Девушка - мега!!! Вот только язык не пойму, вроде похож больше на китайский. а может и тибетский..
I know many of her songs can be found on iTunes under the name, "Gesangmeiduo." This Jiuzhaigou Valley song currently is not one of them. Does anyone know where else we can find her music? Is her music available on iTunes under any other names?
Thanks for any help.
I love how tibetan sings..woot
mom ! make my luggage ready, i am going to go China !
nope. She sang this song in Chinese. She's Tibetan, her name is Kelsang Metok (Ge Sang Me Duo, spelled in Chinese)
her's is a very pretty voice, and what are those letters underneath the hanzi called?
It's a good song but a little cranking sound mixed up. Can the uploader can fix it?
