The bearded guy is "Ladybeard" real name Richard Magarey, he moved to Hong Kong from Australia to act as a stunt man in Martial Arts films and became famous as a cross dressing professional wrestler, he's also done videos with Nemophila drummer Tamu
He gets too much credit. The girls are awesome. They are exceptionally good Idols.

When you mix metal with Japanese Idols and an Australian wrestler you get "wtf"
Ladybeard is just such a cool dude. There's a ±10 minute documentary about him where they talked to him and followed him for a few bit. He's just a crossdressing dude doing wrestling and metal in Japan. I'm not sure if it was in that video but he mentioned somewhere that at first when he came to Japan he was worried that the local trans and crossdressing community rejecting him but he said he was received with open arms. Also his shows are a mix of singing and wrestling bits and if I remember correctly they were mostly visited by younger women at the time so they seem to make up a large part of his fanbase :D
the cute vocals + metal growls are very contrast but it works yet so catchy wtf 🤣

I will forever be grateful to whoever at the Japanese tourism board that thought promoting Japan in this fashion was a good idea. Without Ladybaby 1.0 we wouldn't get Ladybaby 3.0 which got Emily Arima into the idol scene. Without Emily Arima in the idol scene the loss of Yuna Imada from PassCode would have probably been the end of PassCode or at least a very large drop in quality to the point where PassCode might as well have ended.
But when band lost their main attraction, they suddenly became just plain boring japan-oriented group, nothing better than hundreds of others 🤧 Win-win also for the other one-second-famous people you mentioned as well 🥱

I think you should really see how far they came along before disbanding. See "Misogi Island", their final release from a couple of years ago. I think it would be more of what you are looking for.

well they came to an anime event in my city last month and it was a wonderfull hyped concert , so much fun xd they even did like a fight we a wrestler guy in the public it so much fun and yeah is a very nice person

Here's the context you're missing: Ladybaby is Kawai Metal Group which is basically a Jpop girl group that does metal. Jpop girl groups were very popular in Japan from 2005 to 2018, examples are AKB48, Sakura Gakuin, Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku, Team Syachihoko, etc. Most Americans and Canadians are completely unfamiliar with these except for Babymetal which began as a sub-unit of Sakura Gakuin.
These girls are like 18 now and in a larger girl group. No more ladybaby.😢

The dark hair girl is Rei. She's been around since she was about 14yo. She has her own band called BRATS. It's basically a punk band and really very good. The guy who I'm sure everyone has told you about so I won't go into it but after this he went into partnership with a female Japanese body building champion and they called themselves DEAD LIFT LOLITA .

( I think it's French ) but don't know it's name or what it's about. Their most recent stuff is very good like Ms Downer but unfortunately it hasn't had much impact. Last thing I heard they were crowd funding to raise money for a video clip. She's still young so hopefully she's going to get a break sooner than later.

I'm not sure I would even find the nice things to say about this that you did 😂 I'm not a fan of those style vocals in metal. Like at all. It drives me nuts 😂 it sounds like children singing in metal honestly. Like it was made for kids. But then there's the aggressive side. It just doesn't fit imo. Not trying to be racist here at all, but I don't think Chinese or Japanese girls should sing in metal. Seems they always have that young kid voice and for me it just doesn't fit.
Have you ever heard the Japanese band Hanabie? The main singer is a 149 cm woman and doesn't sound like a child at all.
Why not react to the real thing, the group that started the "kawaii" genre, BabyMetal? They are not a joke, but a World class metal group (Metal Hammer has them in the top 10 metal bands of all time). You could start with some of the classics, Road of Resistence, Headbangger, Rondo of Nightmare, Akatsuki, Papaya, etc. They even have a colab with Bring me the Horzion and some new tracks (Divine Attack and Monochrome)that have the BM World holding their breath. Wouldn't start w/ those though.
