I was there. Unbelievable biblical rain. Those Fijians were unplayable. Afterwards they came out and said the pitch wasn't too bad compared to what they play on back in Fiji. We ran on the pitch afterwards in it was literally knee deep mud. My old man was furious when his 18 year old lad showed up drunk as a skunk and head to toe in mud. Frosty car ride home! 🤣 Great memories.

My first job in the RRW in 92 was a steward for the Hong Kong 7s what and experience how they played Rugby in that mud was crazy
