This is really good. As others have written, the battle pace mixed with peaceful motifs is great. If you decide to revisit Old Norse/Viking themed music, I'd suggest using Freyja's Fólkvangr as a theme. Freyja was a goddess of war as well as of love, and she oversaw the Valkyries. Half of the chosen dead warriors went to Odin's Valhalla, and half to Freyja's Fólkvangr. Fólkvangr was a large and beautiful meadow where warriors would train for Ragnarök. They probably also feasted in Freyja's hall, Sessrúmnir. It was unlike Valhalla in that it had a more peaceful atmosphere; aside from battle training and fights, warriors could also enjoy peacetime activities like hunting and dancing and relaxing in the mystical setting. Unlike Valhalla, where only brave men who died in battle could go, Freyja also invited brave people other than warriors, both men and women. Not much is written about Fólkvangr or Sessrúmnir, so it would give you the chance to apply your interpretation. It also could be a different side of Viking age music, one that could be mystical and perhaps incorporate some of the old rímur song style?

Clad in armor forged from iron and leather, their faces marked with the tales of countless battles, these warriors stand tall upon their longships, sailing towards the realm of the gods. 💙
Superb!!! I wouldn't restrict this to Valhalla... this works equally with Olympos, or even a battle with Hades in the Underworld. Great work, as always!
