The multiplane even had exhaust ports that could be used to introduce certain exhausts that helped create blurring effects, to make it look like you were seeing through gasses whenever there were scenes with fire.
A great explanation of one of my favourite techniques in animation, especially the classic Disney films. I love how you applied it to the audience's position when watching Bambi. Great work!
Please do more videos!!! I love your content, don't get discouraged with not enough people seeing your content. You're putting a lot of work and analytical research that is well earned. Keep it up!!! :)
Ah wow thank you so so much! It can be discouraging yeah. But I'm definitely not done with this just yet! Just taking a break over the holiday season. But there'll be a new video up next Thursday :) But seriously, thank you so much for your encouraging words.
My love for animation started with a bonus feature at the end of my VHS of Bambi explaining how they made it I wish I could find it again, it was my favorite documentary!
This was such a cool technique…I remember on the Bambi dvd or maybe the VHS version had a behind the animation portion of all the animators at their separate tables doing all of the animations. So very cool. So talented.
This is great, thank you for posting it up - it's a really thoughtful and very nicely presented piece and what a rightfully perfect film to highlight how groundbreaking it was (and brilliant you got Lottie R in there early on) .
This is hard work from Disney when they use for Animation for Bambi. But now with CGI and Animation like the first CGI with animation what else but Beauty And The Beast In 1991 was shown here in the Philippines in 1992 and they won for the Oscars. Not the same as the Little Mermaid was never been won for the Oscars in 1990 one year before Beauty And The Beast In 1991
Thank you for watching! And thank you for providing youtube users with such excellent background music. I'd definitely like to use your music in a future video!

Seeing these methods of animation that go beyond the basic frame by frame motivates me to go back animating

This was a difficult and incredible technique! We take modern CGI tools for granted.
This was very interesting to watch. Thank you so much!

That were not just cartoon but genuine art paint!
I just want to know the lens because I am building a DIY multilane further back planes seem small
2:28 What were you blurring out?
Oh it was a speech bubble that said I'm the badass. I learned teachers use this video in class so I decided to make it more school appropriate
This is very interesting work

Simplely, a beautiful animation's work.
Music is a little too loud, or the voice too low. Otherwise it's great.
thank you
Why the blur in the shot of the great prince from Bambi?
I added it post-publish because it displayed a speech bubble saying "I'll be the badass" and teachers often use this video in classes.
Bambi was watch Tarzan
