Totally agree. I brew small batches at home for fun. And I love to brew any new hop varieties in a simple lager so I can get the full experience of the hop. Lightly dry hopping one is awesome too. Also, would love to learn more about this process of “decanting” the wet hop strata beer. That’s really interesting.
Nate, I'd like to make a video recommendation. Could you please create a video where you brew a special lager recipe using a unique hop variety (such as Strata)? After brewing, it would be great if you could share the complete recipe, including details like water, malts, hops, pH at different stages, pressure, fermentation schedule, and lagering time. The next step would be to allow some time for homebrewers worldwide to brew the same beer. Then, you could follow up with a tasting video where you describe the flavors, aromas, and mouthfeel of the beer. This way, us homebrewers can have a reference for how the beer should turn out. It will not only help us improve our brewing skills but also enhance our tasting abilities. I understand that you might not be able to share the exact brewery recipe, but I'm confident you can provide a recipe that's good and distinctive, embodying the character of Treehouse. Keep in mind that there are people all over the world who have never had the chance to try Treehouse beers
Nate it's too bad you aren't here in 3 weeks time, fresh hop festival in yakima is a world class showcase of fresh hop goodness including late harvests like Mosaic.
So far in order of my preference by the ones I have had T Cascade Garston T Cascade T Peacharine T OG T Strata T Nelson All better than 95% of beer here in AR. I think the wet hop aspect detracts from what I prefer in the Trail series. I love them all nonetheless. Cheers from Arkansas!
I feel my tastes have been floating towards pilsners, but I'm a hop head above all else! This is perect That decanting method... really curious how that works and if its possible at the homebrew level... any research or reading reccs on that? Thanks!
The best fresh hop beer I ever had was a lager. Crux's fresh Crystal hops from Goschie farms in Oregon. Absolutely phenomenal floral character. It wasn't dry hopped though, not everything needs to be Italian Pilsner meets fruit.
Wow....can't wait to pick all of those up especially that Super Strata....as a homebrewer I find that there is not as much good information on dry hopping lagers...ie-when, what temps?, t-90 vs hop products like incognito, spectrum, hopkick, lupomax, salvo, american nobles, etc.... Love following your cross country journey ☮
Just cracked a can of Trail Fresh Hop Strata. Have never experienced any off flavors with a Tree House beer but all my wife and I can taste is diacetyl. Would it be possible this is intentional and we're missing something?
Trail Peacharine and Garston Cascade are two of the best beers I’ve ever had. How long would you expect Super Strata to last on draft in such limited quantities? Cheers!

I'm heading up to Deerfield to pick up my order. I may stop in and see if I can find the trail hopped Strata. Thanks for the tip!
Nate - finally got to have Trail Peacharine and holy smokes its a desert island type beer. Absolutely incredible my dude. Well done.
Craving some Trail Wet Hop Strata! Yum! The Super sounds incredible - Cheers!

I wish I could stay forever!

We tried a few Crux beers today. Nice.

I have to start getting more of the lagers, my cart just fills up so quickly.
Give them a shot for sure
One take Nate
Must have been fun to say, hey let's not throw out the green slop at the bottom of the FV. Let's see what will happen
It is not green slop.
My apologies, I understand that it is a fun experiment. Sure wish I could sample.@@treehousebrewco

Unfortunately a very short time. Just over 100 pours per location
Morning Nate. See any bears?
Unfortunately not yet
