You could put the crank at top dead center and open the dizzy cap. The rotor should be pointing at spark plug wire #1. If its pointing at another spark plug then that's your miss fire. Also check your timing belt and make sure everything is on top dead center. Your dizzy might be in good working condition. Usually its the coil or the module that go bad. Easy fix for most cars.
Some times the dizzy is just "backwards" to say the least. You'd have to remove the dizzy and the pin that connects to the camshaft, reverse it and you should get it to point to the right spark plug that way. You just have to remove the C clip and the small metal pin that goes thru the pinion that connects to the camshaft. Then you just reverse it. Because that pinion only fits a certain way into the point where it makes contact with the camshaft
I’m currently trying to figure out my problem yesterday I had a misfire in about 3 of the cylinders and after checking for spark and trying to clean the dizzy cap it doesn’t start anymore and it just cranks and backfires out of the intake do you think my dizzy could be completely messed up
Seems those mounting holes for B20 are weak.... Same here

You might have the firing order wrong. Let me know if you need any help
