***** I've know it since my birth. Toilet bowls _are indeed the answer_. No wonder why the world is going so bad. They... they just don't know. Oh, and yes, weed and booze probably as well. Thank you fellow brother! From this day on, I shall spread the Good News!
EqualsThreeable two years later...do you still remember that day you were sitting on that toilet? pondering two different things; how toilets are made and what you ate before that day which allowed you to sit comfortably, luxuriously on that ceramic throne.
A very good video, representing how toilets are made. I was searching desperately for this kind of videos, thanks for efforts. Such anice informatic video. Thanks. As I am doing job in Sanitary/Tiles ware showroom, So it is very very usefu;l information.
You are correct regarding the raw materials but as you can see it is a fairly labor intensive process. This could be an older manufacturing facility but there does not seem to be a whole lot of automation going on here. Perhaps that has changed since this video.
+Ulises Ulises Indeed... and who in the world still talks about "Centigrade". It was my father's word and he just hated this new-fangled "Celsius" nonsense (conveniently forgetting "Fahrenheit" was also named after a person. And Volt, Watt, Amp...).
+Christopher Bedford Well, LOL.... I use C actually, but Im weird, my friends use F. I fire my earthenware at 1,000 to 1,050C (∆06-∆05) and I also do 1,222C (∆6). The video should be really old, that yellow glaze they're spraying on the toilet is horrid and outdated. And there is no way they would be allowed to glaze without a mask nowadays, it can be very dangerous in long term. 1,176C is actually in the low fire range, definitely not porcelaine (and if the clay is, it s not fired to maturity). I would say and not . They should have gotten some little help from a potter or a ceramic artist to make the video.
the 2nd piece he put on i will just sit on it and shit oh and iether i will sit on the molded clay even if it will collapse or i will shit in the bowl even if its still hot from the firnist i got diarrea
The toilet making factory is so elegant I love it there, what a noble craft
its like 1am and i'm watching how people make toilets.
Considering the amount of time, I'm surprised how affordable toilets are. I guess the individual hands on time isn't that long.
I know I have stooped to the lowest point in my curious mind that I search and find this.
At the end, they showed a couple of sinks. I hope people aren't pissing in the sink...
No pee pee in the sink please
There is no way this much work goes into each toilet.
Cool Because I've Always Sat Down And Wondered "How Is A Toilet Made?"
Thank God for this video! Now I can die a happy man! :)
+D. Lyrium well... Tell me about it, bro :D

Sitting on a toilet I had to know how it's made!

five years later and my time has come to do the same thing
So beautiful. Art.
What? No shitty puns?!
I wonder if these are made in Eastern European countries? Amazing craftsmanship.

This comment was definitely from a decade ago.
The best 5 mins ever!
*SHIDDING DEVICE!!!!!!!*
Slip, not, slurry.
Glaze, not paint.
Spoken like a true pottery person.
Yeah, they probably try and cut a lot of jargon to make it more accessible for the public.
Also, that oven at the end is actually called a kiln
thanks for the vdo. i never see the process
At the end I saw a few sinks... then again, the drunk sometimes use them as urinals...
toiliet industry is very profitable just clay and moulds are needed neither are expensive

I din't see the holes under the top of the toilet (the ones that push the water to the bottom when we flush).
Toilet = art
end of the story
Well, that's a crappy job.
No Shit!!
Wow, that interesting to learn how my toilet was made! I'm going to go take a shit now.

They're glazed, not painted; and fired, not baked.

Yeahhhhh... I meant, it's Celsius (not 'Centigrade') :-D
Glad to see you know your shit.
no bisque before the glaze?
A title for a song...or for a movie
Shouldn't they be wearing masks for sanding and painting?
Well, there's a vacuum that draws up the dust so they don't breathe it in.
they should, but they don't care. i guess.
Holy crap!
the 2nd piece he put on i will just sit on it and shit oh and iether i will sit on the molded clay even if it will collapse or i will shit in the bowl even if its still hot from the firnist i got diarrea

Now this work is taken to poorer countries where people are paid less to do this. That may be why they’ve gone down in price.
