Dear Mik, I watch your videos and then I put it in practice and my event photography has been improving. Once I hit a new wall, I come here and get not only educated by an experienced and generous photographer but also, inspired and motivated to keep going.
I LOVE getting to see so much footage of your actually working!
Hey Mik! Love your helpful videos. We missed your content
thank u bro. i think u just summed up a course in 1 video for free. really helpful for people like me on getting more into these type of event photography.
He's back!
Wow, great information. I look forward to digging in to your other content.
Of course this is a great video! ❤ Thanks again Mik for the great content you put out there for Event Photographers! We really appreciate it!❤️👏🏽❤️👏🏽
Thank you so much, Linda! I appreciate your patience while I took a break.
We do!
@@MikMilman Thanks for the video. Do you have any videos about shooting headshots at an event and how to manage the event and the headshots and pricing?
Very helpful video as usual! 🤩
Thank you! Feels great to put something out there.
Thanks! If you can answer a quick question? With available light stuff, ESPECIALLY when the subject is in shadows with a bright sunny backdrop, do you personally shoot for the subject and let the shadows come up naturally, so the person looks good, and allowing the background highlights to blow out, or do you expose for the overall scene, keeping highlights under control but letting shadows/faces dark and recovering the shadows back in "post processing"? The reason I ask is one version, letting those unimportant highlights bloom, is fast for the clients (and me) and lets me use the SOOC jpegs, while the second version, keeping highlights under control, results in much more post process editing. Also, I'm curious if you have an assistant do your culls and edits? I'm a one man show and unfortunately spend a lot of time at the computer. Thus, my questions about thoughts on mixed lighting exposures and how it relates to workflow/output.
Appreciate your info. Finally shot for a small Chamber event.
How did it go?
@@MikMilman it got better as I was doing it. The first person I talked to was a retired wedding photographer. Confirmed my settings for the environment and away I went.
Assisted a department headshot today and got asked to help on the next 2 next week.
On a R10 do you recommend an external flash?
I really like this channel and that is why I just followed you, Mik.
It is very interesting and I learn a lot from you.
But it seems like this channel is kind of stopped, which would be very sad.
Greets from 🇩🇪
Thank you very much for the comment. I have not stopped, I just needed a break. It was a very busy year for me.
@@MikMilman I completely understand. Take all the time you need away from TH-cam; I'll still watch your videos whenever they're released :)
I hope you are able to recharge your batteries
Hi mik , I recently has a photoshoot after which I noticed a dark spot on some photos ...is there somthing dust particle in my camera sensor or lense ?
If it's in the same location in each image, it's likely dust.
@@MikMilman okay thank you ☺️
Do you say “behind” or “corner” when moving about?
You mean when passing closely behind someone?
Hi Mik! Are you on a social media vacation? No Instagram and TH-cam in last two months 😢 Hope all is well with you
Social media is a big chore for me. It actually takes discipline for me to post regularly. But as we approach the end of the year I might use some of my free time to prep images for social posts. As far as youtube goes, it's a time issue. It's been a record busy year for me. I'm doing well! Thanks for asking.
the rooms are too big for you to be trying to bounce the flash. Just take the flash off instead of setting it off for no reason at all.
Also why are you wearing a light colored shirt shooting the google event? You are supposed to be "unseen"
