I'm Igbo and I'm proud. Our forebears discovered the use of the native Oja (flute) and this flute has been passed down from generation to generation. It's a way he ancestors and the gods talk to the living. I'm happy KCEE and the flute player fused it with amapiano and marketed it to the world. Ndigbo ibem whatever we are going through in this country, just know that we are umu Chineke and we would always come out ontop. We are Igbo and we are many! We are Igbo and we are strong! We are Igbo and we are brave! Igbo mmamma nu ooo! Igbo kwenu ooo! Igbo kwezuonu ooo!
The Oja is a very spiritual sound. I am igbo, from the south eastern part of Nigeria, Anambra State to be precise. The Oja is a very unifying and spiritual sound cos it’s how we as a people spiritually connect to our gods and ancestors. What Kcee did was to tell the world how beautiful our sounds are and his creative combination of the Oja with Amapiano shows how adaptable we as Igbos are. We are one of the most well travelled tribe in Nigeria, our experiences shape our outlook on life as we take pride in our very uniquely spiritual origin. Kcee didn’t need too much lyrics cos there’s no competition when it comes to the Oja. The Oja is spiritual and he let it shine like it should. This music was mostly about the sound not lyrics. The Igbos would clearly understand his unique creative direction. Respect to your reaction !!!
It's been so long i mean like years i had musical feelings as I'm getting now. The fluit cuts through the heart and creates this ambience of excitement. Kudos to Kcee for giving us something new and creative.
@@akendon7260 Brother...we don't have to split hairs here. Nigerian or Igbo, it is good for the Nigerian entertainment industry and Africa ad a whole. I say this as a non-Nigerian who is always glad about African growth. Besides, flute-playing is not unique to only the Igbos. Other African tribes have different varieties of flute.

In Igbo land, they will warn you to be careful on what you blow in the Oja because the Gods are listening. Oja is the voice of the Gods
Oja doesn't need lyrics
It a spiritual inner sound.

Ojapiano is well produced....a modernization of traditional igbo flute lyrics..

@cubcam it is the oja flute of the Igbo ethnic group in Nigeria. Recall CKay used it in the Black Panther movie song featuring Pinkpanthress

The instrument is called oja
An native Nigerian instrument
He merged the oja with amapiano
Native Igbo instrument, not Nigerian. Flute music is exclusive to predominately Igbos and Native Americans.
