I generally avoided War Within news and changes to not spoil stuff for myself, and also because I wasn’t sure I’d have the time to come back to WoW. I was top 10 SV Hunter on my realm back in DF for a while, so I was really curious at how WW affected SV. I’m pleasantly surprised that it was improved! Like, I could play SV reasonably well but it def felt clunky. It looks WW has helped smooth out the rotation and now I’m excited to get back on my main again
I still wish you could use 2 1handed weapons on Survival to more closely get the Rexxar feeling like it is shown even on the spec background art. I don't know if this is still a thing but I know in Dragonflight you could equip 2 1handers but just couldn't use any skills with them... why that existed? No idea, just Blizzard things.
Great video. I’ve been using survival a bit here and there because BM (what I usually play) is abysmal in AoE. Survival has been fun and does pretty good dam!
I’m still trying to figure out what I’m playing for season 1. Have 6 classes at 80 so far (including a surv hunter). My only gripe is that I think hunter got some of the worst hero talents in the game.
I like a lot of the ideas in the rework but after playing it for about two weeks now, I gotta say, it's clunky. Many ideas are poorly implemented. Cleaving mongoose bite is just not fun. I very much prefered having serpent sting combined with bombs instead. It takes three points now to effectively use serpent sting instead of just 1. Flanking Strike just doesn't feel impactful to use. Getting the AoE cleave is only useful to spread Bloodseeker and Bloodseeker is in a terrible spot. Tip of the Spear is awkward with many abilites, for bombs it only increases the main damage hit and not the dot. It really isn't as impactful as you might think. Bloodseeker, which our only way to apply bleeds, is in a terrible spot. It should be available for every build since lunge is pretty much a pick you have to take because of its path. The fact that lunge and bloodseeker aren't connected is absolutely wild to me. Spearhead is a great change but requires 2 bullshit points in kill command damage to get. Bombardier always feels awkward to use. It needs a better implementation that makes it impactful during Coordinated assault, not after. It sucks when a huge portion of the damage comes AFTER a pack is dead. I'm not gonna go into detail about hero talents. But I will say, I agree with the majority. They are absolutely terrible and uninteresting. For Survival I would argue that both hero talents make the class WORSE to play. There is huge potential in the class but it needs more work to just feel better to play. As it is now, I much prefer the S3 DF version of Survival. Felt much smoother to play.
No...if I wanted to play a melee dps I'd play a class that was built entirely around melee, not an afterthought to fill a 3rd hunter spec that is more often than not trash.
@@Soma_777 BM has better ST and MM has better burst AOE. SV is the more well rounded...but if I want to play a good melee dps SV would not even be in the top 3 options. ENH, DK's or even Havoc would be better

@@Elementroar it’s incredibly fun, would recommend trying it out!

would be sick for sure, but using a massive 2h sword or spear is also pretty sick
@@VooDooSaurus it does have to be only one or the other. Just give the option like frost DK can choose between dual wield or two hander
You can just transmog a any 2h sword..

Hero talents feel like an illusion of choice.
Survivor is so cool, but this owl is so off the theme of the class! and pack leader is ASS, so i'm stuck with this moon bullshit.
I dread reaching 71 with my SV alt and seeing what these visuals are actually like. Class fantasy is everything to me.

@@Hunchojk nah there’s def worse ones, although hunter didn’t end up in the best spot. The best specs of hunter are very fun tho, st least for surv
Do you have a link to the WeakAuras used?
i use Atrocity UI which is a sub perk from his twitch www.twitch.tv/atrocity : )
