Hi Guy's I had some time today so decided to take the speedo drive out from the gearbox and and have a look why it was not working. Thanks for watching 🤓👍
Well fixed sir ! That is one of the many advantages of these wonderful old cars, they can be fixed. The Morris Minor , though always underrated, is an amazingly simple , sturdy and reliable motor car . One of Sir Alex Issigonis,s masterpieces . The UK Government would do well to learn from classic designs like these which are still running after 60 or 70 years and encourage their revival not their demise.
I noticed that the wire cable connecting the gearbox to the gearbox crossmember on your Morris Is slack, it should be taught and can be adjusted. when I did mine it stopped the judder when the clutch was down, it stops movement forwards of the gearbox when the rubber gearbox mountings wear. Thanks for the videos.
Hi thanks for watching yes it is slack I never noticed any difference when I repaired the gearbox I never done it up tight. I will try it next time I'm under the car ans see if it makes any difference. Thanks for the comment 🤓👍
Hi Thanks for the good video about the speedo problem. My speedo works great up to 40mph then just drops down to 90mph. Any ideas about how to fix that?
