Sounds like corporate life, I would rather build up my own homestead and be self sufficient than to work for... "The man" it would definitely be a happier life...
The pigpen looks great. I love the top rail. The extra rough cut gives it character and really goes along w the Homestead feel. Congratulations on more babies🎉
Dabbles is growing on me so much. I’m hooked. He looks bigger over night ❤ pants babies the brown ones are cuties. So different from the other babies. There my favorite. When the babies were born. I only noticed one brown one. Were there two all along??
And more...Rufio is the quintessential farm rooster 🐓 . He's handsome, and he crows it. Mammas and babies are doing good, everyone got treats, and all is good . Great video, as always .😊
You made a great deal of progress, and I prefer the spare rough cut wood. Overall, it's quite impressive . This project is quite an undertaking. I think this is the first time I've seen Echopup actually contribute physically . Good boy! I saw that dirt fly behind him.
Love seeing how everyone is growing and doing! I'm loving the variation in color on all the babies. Everything from chocolates, to tans, to reds! Crossing my fingers that most of them are females and can stay on the homestead. The pig pen is coming along nicely! Keep up the great work. Can't wait to see the next installment.
Wow, that pig pen is looking great. I also can't believe how many baby chicks you are getting all at once and probably more to come since most of the chickens are still broody. They might all need their own space though. Keep up the fabulous work!!!
I watch one of your videos every day. I don't wantch any other farm videos. I just love your vids. I met a neighbor down the street the other day and he introduced me to his dog. At first I thought he said the dog's name was Ethel....then I realized later in the conversation he said Echo. I've never heard a dog named Echo before I heard your dog...and then my neighbor's dog. Keep up the vids. We love 'em.
I watched the original post of Charlotte and Wilbur and enjoyed it even more the second time around . They were having a ball! The swimming pool was totaled!
You need to get some of those lightweight fabric shade screens overhead...like the ones they use in nursery's to protect the plants from the direct sun.
This is so interesting about the ducks in the niacin deficiency. I have never known this to happen? I wonder if some thing isn’t going on with the duck feed? Remember when everybody was complaining that their chickens weren’t laying eggs with the tractor supply food something like that.
Hey, 2 things about the black ducking; black ducklings seem to need higher protein while growing, and also, Dabbles stepped on him in a big way, right when he got put in the outside bird box. (Obviously, it’s on your video if you want to check it out. It’s why my first name for Dabbles was Bigfoot, but I like yours better because it’s a happy name. You’re doing such a great job, Cody.
There are babies all over the place!! You're so good at overseeing them. The pig pen will be nice! I'm sure they will be happy to be outside! 🐷🐖🐽 I hope there's a plan to keep the chickens from going in there! They're pretty used to that area. I'm sure you have something planned! It looks good so far! Thanks for another entertaining video!! 💕
Loving all the new life on the homestead! More to fill the longer videos. Lil Roe is being such a good momma💕double duty may just want to bake/hatch them but not have motherly instincts but lil roe/sedgwig will raise them. Sedgwigs got her hands full. I enjoy all the videos/updates, they are refreshing. You take such good care of all your animals. Hoping for the best for Pam & Jims tuckling. Pam stepping on him im sure. Can’t wait to see mumbles & Dabbles together💕🪿🪿
YEA!!! 🎉 you uploaded a video! Love seeing the babies!!! ❤ thanks Cody! Don’t forget the epson salt for the shaking babies……… Have a great week! We need more videos 😊
Idea for the goats in the summer run- you could use one of those metal poles to attach fencing, put a bolt on the bottom &screw/cement a plate into the ground where you can just screw it in/out when you need it open/closed but itll give more stability so the goats can’t break through it. Similar to a furniture leg mounting plate but they have stronger ones called steel threaded crank plate. And quick to throw together. Just an idea! If you want them to go eat up some of the summer run.
Patience is a virtue; by that standard, you are virtuous. I’m new to your amazing channel, and I’m grateful I found you. Have you made a Q & A video yet? Did I miss it? Be Well, Be Safe.
Is it just me or does anyone else when Cody says "hellooo ladies" picture him with his good jeans on nice shirt with the collar popped leather jacket and his good crocks on walking into a place with lots of girls there!! 😮😂😂😊
Love seeing the chickens hang around while you do the digging, and of course, Echopup got the chance to dig as well! Pants' babies are young teens now, I don't think they fit under Pants (no pun intended) anymore 😂 hopefully the snowball mom and the double duty mamas can have a successful hatch this time❤
If pigs start to dig out under the lower boards, would it help to insert stakes in the ground ever so often to prevent them from escaping. You could possibly do this from the outer side of the walls!❤the way you care so for your animals!!
Little shaky legs. 🥺 I hope the supplemental niacin and the brewer's yeast in their feed helps. Pants chicks are getting so big, I am just dying to know how many are male and how many are female. After all the time Mrs. Muffins and Dot have been broody it's unfortunate to see they are having issues with the actual chicks. The outdoor pig pen is looking great! Though it is going to be a big project having to move the barn door to the other side. Progress is progress, great job Cody, as with everything you do. Now just to figure out what the heck to do with so many Mama hens. 😂🥴😵💫
I spent a lot of time hustling feed. We had a popcorn place & every so often they would have "test pop". Id fill my van full of trashbags of popped corn, then i had local bakeries & sub shops who would call when stuff was under or over baked, i auctioned & got large bags chips for a nickel or less each (best way to lead escapees back). Poultry, pigs & goats loved my treats (my kids ate some too, lol)
With the live edge of the 3rd rails being pointed in towards the pigs may be a mistake. I can picture Cookie standing up to chew the bark off & accidentally pulling the whole off-cut rail down. Everything new is exciting & pigs are smart, they aren’t even trying to destroy things, it just happens
About pig pen construction; I used to try to find the weakest point in my construction like there was money in it! Actually, it was because I knew if I didn’t find it, the pigs would be happy to help me with that! Lol.
On your chicks long leg chicks are roosters and shout leg are hens...on your setting eggs pointy ones are going to be roosters round ones are going to be hens
The one thing I remember about growing up with animals is there's more projects needing done than there is time to get them done
Always!
Daddy and babies Beautiful pond you built it fantastic 😊😅😅off to work with Pup busy boys Cute babies 😊😅💚 Even fishies 🤣🤣🥰🥰🐕🦺🎈🇦🇺🌲🎀🌲
Dunno if you noticed but the little Golden hen never left your side while you built the outside rails for the pen. She followed you everywhere.
Sounds like corporate life, I would rather build up my own homestead and be self sufficient than to work for... "The man" it would definitely be a happier life...

Dabbles and the Ducks sounds like a 60s or 70s rock band. I can almost see them on a t-shirt in that style.
❤😂
I could listen to this music all day it’s lovely and country, suits your and your homestead just fine ❤
The pigpen looks great. I love the top rail. The extra rough cut gives it character and really goes along w the Homestead feel.
Congratulations on more babies🎉
Thanks so much!
I believe chickens are more curious than cats! Also, if a fresh hole has been dug, Echopup is laying in it, or the chickens are scratching through it.
True!
I love it how Dough boy is always in the feeder, he looks so pleased with himself. Silly piggie
The chickens love to hang out when there’s construction going on, plenty of supervision on hand
Always if there is fresh soil😂
Dabbles is growing on me so much. I’m hooked. He looks bigger over night ❤ pants babies the brown ones are cuties. So different from the other babies. There my favorite. When the babies were born. I only noticed one brown one. Were there two all along??
They're all the same birds, but the coloring does change as they grow
And more...Rufio is the quintessential farm rooster 🐓 . He's handsome, and he crows it.
Mammas and babies are doing good, everyone got treats, and all is good . Great video, as always .😊
So true!
Praying for Pam and Jim duckling was raising 🙏🏼 Full health and females for all of Dabbles ducks 🙏🏼 Amen 🙏🏼
The chickens are appreciating the bugs u are digging up.😊😊😊
You made a great deal of progress, and I prefer the spare rough cut wood. Overall, it's quite impressive . This project is quite an undertaking.
I think this is the first time I've seen Echopup actually contribute physically . Good boy! I saw that dirt fly behind him.
He's not afraid to get his paws dirty
@@WhittAcresHomestead 😆 lol like father like son.
Love that 3rd row - rough cut!! It looks rustic and ties it all together!!! ❤
Dabbles is a great name for Mumbles new man. ❤
I think the chickens helped more than Ecopup. 😅
At Time 18:08 so cute how Echo Pup wanted to inspect the hole and help with the digging. Even cuter is how ya stepped aside and let him 🥰
Chickens when they see Cody grab a shovel: SWARM SWARM!!
- 23:10 That's super smart of you with the Gatorade bottles. I've actually seen other people do that as well to build shelves.
Love seeing how everyone is growing and doing! I'm loving the variation in color on all the babies. Everything from chocolates, to tans, to reds! Your yard is looking so beautiful. Love the pond!
Thank you!
Bless You Brother .... good 'ole homestead livin...!

The pig pen looks good with those other boards around the top. Great job. And your going to be busy with all those new babies.
I watched the original post of Charlotte and Wilbur and enjoyed it even more the second time around . They were having a ball! The swimming pool was totaled!
They made quick work of that pool!
@@WhittAcresHomestead And they were having so much fun!
pants is rearing 6 shorts that are growing up to be pants too!
The one common denominator i keep hearing among farmers near me is “its a work in progress.” Its never finished.
Baby puff is the cutest thing I've heard in a while ❤😂
You've made a good progress, Cody.
You need to get some of those lightweight fabric shade screens overhead...like the ones they use in nursery's to protect the plants from the direct sun.
I've been thinking about that
This is so interesting about the ducks in the niacin deficiency. I have never known this to happen? I wonder if some thing isn’t going on with the duck feed? Remember when everybody was complaining that their chickens weren’t laying eggs with the tractor supply food something like that.
It's possible the feed doesn't have enough, I don't get from tsc though.

I started seeing your vids on the ducks now I'm hooked love how ya talk to the animals
Awesome!
Pig pen looks really good.... Congratulations on all these new babies 😊
Echo Pup is such a good helper. Always nice to watch him work.
I know u think the leg shaking is a vitamin deficiency but do you think it could have been from Pam stepping on the ducky (since it left with a limp?)
no thankfully the limp healed, this is different.
There are babies all over the place!! You're so good at overseeing them.

I've enjoyed watching your work. You may want to consider adding some metal on the ducks side of the pig pen so your pigs don't get to your ducks.

Good progress. Hard work
Thanks!
The young chicks really listen !
Maybe Dough Boy would like a trogh of his own as a resting place for himself 😊
Another way you could prevent them digging out under the walls would be to place a long feeding trough in their way!.
Beautiful place 😍 💕 ❤️ ✨️ 💖 ♥️ ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Not this video, but appreciate how you train Echo- "Sitz", 'Bleib"... Good PA Dutch...

You might try a zip strip on Pants feeder ?
Never heard of it
I hope you extend the outer walls into the ground. Pigs will dig out. Pigs don't sweat, which why they like wet mud. A fan that mist might help.

good job!
Like your choice of music for this video. Who"s strumming?
Thanks! All the artists are listed at the bottom of my descriptions
Bravo!
The one with the shaking leg-is that the same one that Pam stepped on?
What size coop/tractor would be good for each momma and babies? It would be great for Little Roe or Sedgwick to get a tractor out by Pants!
They will be shuffled around in the ones I have, on a small homestead we make do.

Spider pig 😂
The chickens are used to going in there. How are you going to keep them out when the pigs are in there?
Goats that I have encountered were leaf eaters.
