My stupid friends stayed to watch static X, who we had scene on small tours several times and I took a chance... when I came back and told them about this amazing band, with this guy jacking off his mask nose, on sage.they looked at me , like I was nuts. 3 months later they are all slipknot fans. I really enjoy the sound of your voice. It seems like it lets me down when you write your own lyrics. Look brother, i'm not trying to give a shot to the sack All that you have given so far, can never be taken away, but i've been around for all the greats from motorhead to slayer. I was 17 when we meant. Look Corey, I don't understand why you are doing this? It seems like a money grab to be the next Shinedown. I think if you wanted to do real metal rap you would have pushed yourself to rap, which you didn't. I saw you do the Beastie Boys rap. We all know what your voice can do.

All the people hating on this - Corey is still in Slipknot and in SS. Those bands have their specific styles and sometimes the ideas one artist has don't match the group. Corey is an artist, he might be feeling the need to experiment and try something new, this is probably why he started his solo album, to try new stuff, and to experiment without any consequences for the bands he is a part of. If you like him and respect him for his band heritage, try to respect his decisions regarding solo songs. You may not like them which is fine, but try to understand that artists sometimes really want to experiment and do some new stuff if not for people, even, than for themselves and their self growth.
In an interview he stated that some of these are songs he's had written for some time. He just didn't feel the would work as Slipknot or Stone Sour songs.

Honestly I wasn’t really up for a lot of Coreys new stuff he just released for this new album, but to my surprise every song on the album has a different sound. These people blindly hating on this, saying he’s going soft, need to realize this is an experiment if anything else. This is not Slipknot nor Stone Sour, this is Corey and he has the ability to experiment on different musical sounds without having his bands pull him to their standards. This can even give us Maggot fans hope as maybe Corey is preparing for his next work whether that be in Stone Sour or Slipknot.

I dig this one more than the others. Added a feel of 90s. I hear some sounds from bands like godsmack and soundgarden in there. This has throwback vibe with lyrics that are going to be 100% timeless. I love it.
