I'm confused. I live opposite Doi Ngum and have been to the top There is a Chedi on top as the locals think the bones of a venerable monk are somewhere there. I've have a snap taken from my house, but I can't seem to post it.,- the left arrow points to the Chedi and the right arrow shows a road that goes within ? 300 metres of he top and then descends down the Lamphun side. Comments?
Hi Mike we followed the trail from the all trails hiking app. The starting point is by the Huai Lan Reservoir. A short walk into the forest anthe trail splits left or right that's the start and finish of the loop . Either way takes you up to the peak and along the ridge and down via another route which brings you back to the start point. 🤗🤗🤗. Hope that makes sense....check it out ont the app.
@@chazchallenger100 Yes I tried that route once and like you found it hard going. There is another route tha tthe Thais take on the RHS , there is a road, a car can get up it but no room to turn around so a M/C is better. It takes you to a col where the road descends to somewhere in Lamphun but there you can climb up left for a short while and get to the chedi. There are all sorts of bits there for making merit and so on. I hope you saw the Chedi, I've a photo of me there but can't send it on this system
Fab effort guys 👏🏼👏🏼
Nice video, but what a pity that you didn't make it to the pagoda and viewpoint near the top. It is the highlight of the loop 🙂
