If not he also belongs to the category 'Sudra'. Don't undermine Sudras who all including the Manusmirithi 'define' as people born from the Feet of Brahma. It is believed that Brahmins are born from Head of Brahma; Kshatriyas are born from shoulders of Brahma, Vaishyas are born from Stomach of Brahma and Sudras are born from the Feet of Brahma. Are they not?! The Law of Nature is that everything ultimately reaches back to their sources. Like the Rivers flowing back to the Ocean.
