- So I'm not a big fan of Fairy tail and this was my first time reacting to all fairy tail openings. I have heard about this anime before but I have never watched Fairy tail before. So today I have decided to go in completely blind, and blindly react to all fairy tail openings. All I'm going to say is the boobs and fan service I see in these openings might actually interest me. *Okay, this dude hasn't seen much anime* 😂
No fr when he said all the anime's he watched didn't have big eyes I was like "Did you start watching at 2016?" Coz even then the trend of anime styles still had big ass eyes. Most, if not all, anime's in the early 2000's had em. What, he never seen One Piece? Yuyu Hakusho? Heck, even Yu-Gioh, the one he mentioned, had abnormally large eyes even bigger than Fairytails.
The thought of watching only 30 seconds of a show and deciding not to watch it is super weird. Who doesn't watch at least a whole episode first ? Also the red haired guy that looks like shanks looks different in the manga and they change his look a bit later on so he looks less like shanks in the anime

About the guy who looks like Shanks, that was an anime thing, he didn't look like him in the manga.
They are similar characters when it comes to personality and both are extremely powerful figures the MC looks up to, honestly I wouldn't be surprised if he was impaired by Shanks, but he didn't look like a copy at all.
Apparently the anime made him look more like Shanks as a marketing decision, as people comparing the two brought more attention to the show. Personally I have no problem with that since the memes that came from it are amazing.
By the way, I like this guy (His name's Gildarts) more than Shanks. He does have more screen time too.
And we actually see him being badass, not just talk
Wait was there a character like that in rave master as well? I know that a lot of character ideas the author uses is reused from his other works so it is possible that rave master could have had a character like that as well, maybe even one that is older than shanks but I am unsure.
@@nathanmcclung3564 No, there isn't one. Gildart's design was original for Fairy Tail.
There are character's who are very similar to Rave ones, some that come to mind are Natsu (Haru), Gray (Musica), Jellal (Sieghart), Cobra (Shuda), Levy (Belnika) and most importantly of all, Plue (Plue).
Not that many to be honest, the large majority of Fairy Tail characters have a original design. Edens Zero has more Fairy Tail looking characters than Fairy Tail had Rave ones, or at least it's the feeling I get.
@@urtoryu_dy_althraidn Honestly jellal's goes further as there is not one but two characters from his even older manga with the same design making him the oldest design of all of them. Note also that lucy is also one that is somewhat copied from rave master as there is a blonde girl there but it is very loose as there is like one or two similarities max between them. U can kinda see it when they met side by side in the cross over episode that sadly was never dubbed.

With Lucy looking like someone from Rave, you mean Julia? I can't see that at all, there's nothing similar about them other than being blonde, which is a trait a ton of people have.
Julia's more similar to Mira than she is to Lucy if we're being honest, and even that is a huge stretch, I don't think there even is a character you could make an argument for.
From what you're seeing, I assume you saw the crossover but didn't read Rave right? With "crossover", do you mean Fairy Tail x Rave, or Mashima Hero's? The second one is the one that includes Edens Zero.
Yes Fairy Tail has lots of fanservice. There's lots of humor, Adventure, tear worthy backstories and at Its core is the love and strength of found family. Some people complain about all the power of friendship in the show but they're all basically orphans adopted by a guilds that becomes their family and they will fight to the death to protect it and for some reason a lot of people don't seem to get that. although some of the filler arcs are pretty bad
I hope you watch it and yes, it is dubbed. It is a great anime it gets a lot of hate, but it an amazing show glad you like the openings!! Each character has amazing backstory, I really hope you watch it you will enjoy Fairy Tail. It's one of my top 10 favorite anime shows.

Crazy the reason you didn't watch it is the same reason I love it I actually prefer their character designs over most of not all other animes especially the Villains
Fairy tail have the cleanest art. Although i like one piece, the manga art is seriously so hard to read lol.

the big muscular black cat, is one of the three cats shown quite often, usually he is tiny and small like the blue and white cat but often in fights he tranforms into that big muscular form while wielding a huge ass sword during fights, he is pretty badass in my opinion.
One thing that is great about fairy tail is the multitude of characters that you grow fonds of over time, its like watching one big family and rooting for them. Natsu, the main pink haired guy, has no romantic bone in his body but neither does he feel sexually attracted to the girls, he’s like a big kid who just teases, but you can see the eventual growth. So no, no harems, this show uses fan service as more of a comedic purpose most of the time. Also, Natsu is not truly the main character, he has no goal to be known as the strongest like most anime protagonist, he only wishes to protect his family, his guild, from harm, thats what gives him the most strength so expect the power of friendship. Although it makes sense in this show due to their magic being fuelled further by emotions. This show is composed of many adventures led by the main characters and the guild but watch out for key plot points that tease and are relevant to the over all storyline being built up!
As for the resemblances with Black clover, you could say Black clover is a mix of 2 animes, Fairy Tail and Naruto. Asta has similar goals to Naruto’s, being the best, recognize through their strength and all, but the magic and guild system is definitely more from Fairy tail. Since not many animes have this kind of setting it does make them extremely similar, but as you know Fairy Tail is the OG series in this case as it came first.
When it comes to Fairy Tail the reviewes are very mixed. Story is fairly simple, comparable to Bleach in a way. Has some cool fakeouts and twists (one of the reactors I've watched got mental breakdown because of one character. It was so funny to watch). Now I'll list you both short commings that people hate Fairy Tail as well as the things that really shine that people love.
The good/unique/intriguing things:
- The author is briliant at writing strong women, but tbh big majority of the characters have some interesting, deep and/or funny traits going on
- Attention is very evenly spread between charakters, even with those that initially seem to not be very important. Almost no one feels insignificant. Because if this, fans sometimes aren't sure who is the main charater anymore (I was one of them). Thats an interesting phenomenon, not very commonly seen
- Back in the times when it originated, the main charakters almost never had some sort of element as a power because authors want them to be unpolarizing and easy to relate to. Fairy Tail sort of broke out of it, MC has element and is still really beloved
- Cool fights as well as very diverse power system
- Very good at pulling the heartstrings (almost as good as Naruto imo)
- Amazing OST! Everyone loves it, even the haters!
The bad/most hated things:
- Overly silly tone an times as well as comedy timing can ruin the sad scene. Mostly the latter is the problem, but it's not all of the scenes, just some. It's not silly at all times but somewhat more than one would expect.
- Simple story telling. Villan/s of the week style most of the time. (People usually ignore all the unexpected twist as well as all the insights into the characters)
- Fan service, especially later on (Some people are uncultured :p)
- Power of feelings makes people stronger. It's literally a part of the power system. Tolerance to this trope varies. I'm not bothered by this, but even I've had at least one "ok, this is BS" moment
Overall it's very decent and not a waste of time. Even most of the fillers are enjoyable, except few.
Just a fair warning if you decide to react to this. I've heard from some youtubers that dealing with copyright as a big pain, more than a lot of other animes
Now I'm curious over who lost their mind reacting to this 😅 a funny thing is a reactor I recently watched was freaking out over the amount of Jellals and wtf is the deal with them 😂😂 (they haven't gotten to the reveals yet)

I like both animation styles this show has , I personally like the bigger eyes and the way their animated this is my first anime though , never been into it before always liked more action based shows like the walking dead, etc
Fairy Tail is a really good series, you should give it a chance.
Opinions on it are very divisive, but that's mostly because hating on it became a trend back then and a lot of people just jumped on that. It's like what happened with Boku no Hero, but WAY worse. Almost everyone that does try watching it ends up liking it a lot.
The thing is, Fairy Tail is completely focused on emotional impact, something it does REALLY well, but it does have many little problems to nitpick, which make a lot of people who go into it with a critical mindset end up complaining constantly.
It's not a story that makes perfect sense or is extremely well crafted (It is amazing with foreshadowing though, something that comes with the author being excellent in writing mystery. Even though he doesn't use that as much in Fairy Tail as he does in his other big works, those being Rave Master and Edens Zero, it's still one of the best parts of the show. I recommend paying attention to dates and names, it'll pay off), but it is very fun and engaging to watch. It's more of an anime to watch on a break or when you're tired, usually cheers you up, just don't get caught up in every little issue you see.
It's less an anime that is consistent good and more of one that has very big highs and many small lows.
One thing I will say, people complain a lot about plot armor and power of friendship in this anime, something that is an issue with some fights so it isn't completely undeserved. But most fights people call BS do have a logical explanation, some of them not explicitly stated while others are straight up explained to the viewer's face and they still miss it, so take the critiques with a grain of salt.
It is kinda funny sometimes though, since you can see exactly how little attention the people criticizing certain scenes were paying when watching them.
For example, there's this one fight were the character gets a power up that had been built up the entire arc and uses it to beat the villain while he says something about his friends giving him strength. Then a bunch of people go and say the fight doesn't make sense because "his friends giving him strength isn't a valid explanation for him winning the fight", even though it was never supposed to be one in the first place. That's like seeing someone eat desert after lunch and saying it doesn't make sense for them to eat it since it isn't a proper meal, completely ignoring the fact they literally just finished lunch in front of you.
Lastly, one other thing I want to say is that Fairy Tail is really good when it comes to character design and creative powers, so you can be excited for that. It also has surprisingly tactical fights for a series that usually doesn't require much attention, a lot of the important battles in the series are won with strategy or compatibility instead of just strength.
u should def watch fairy tail but focusing on the big tities is just not it. Like once or twice i get it but repeatedly commenting on it is just uk degrading...
Probably one of the reason why the author draw big chest of female characters is because the manga of this anime was published in Kodansha magazine which is also the magazine that promotes Gravure Idols or those Idol models who wear Swimsuits on their magazine page. Also, some mangas in Kodansha are romance/Harem series like Rent A Girlfriend, Quintessial Quantuplets, kanajo mo kanojo and more.
BTW Gildarts isn't inspired by Shanks if you look at the original art style, there are minor similarities but they are different. The animators made it look different.
I curious on what you said about big eyes, character designs and the animation because I assuming that you watched One Piece 👀So didn’t' Luffy has big eyes and One Piece character designs are suppose to be more crazy and unreal even for most anime fans💯and the animation of the One Piece anime didn’t get good after 600 episodes🗣️compare to that Fairy Tail got great animation from the start and the music in Fairy Tail are on a different level🔥 So how did Fairy Tail didn’t interest you from the start but One Piece did🤔

Ive watch fairy tail like 4 times and its really good, but i relate a lot with the main guy and his buddy, Happy is my favorite anime mascot and well theres a lot of really good fights and amazing attacks and abilities in my opinion. The animation and backstory of the characters is very good too. And its also really funny a lot of times, etc, it has all types of emotions and its a roller coaster i always enjoy taking on. Personally it is in my top 5 fav animes, but like i said im baised because i relate to the main character and his buddy.
One thing I love about this is they have more people of color on the good side than they do in most animes. Like you can see some being hispanic or having hispanic undertones, black characters, and just different cultures in general. This shows that it isn't in Japan which most animes have going on. In most animes the setting is usually Japan and majority of the population of Japanese people are light skinned instead of dark as they are asian, and while blasian exists it is unfortunately uncommon there. But in this they took into consideration the fact they don't live in Japan! They live in a completely different world with different countries, continents, etc.!
Little by little FairyTail is actually getting popular thanks to reaction channels.
Yeah I know it is popular now, but is not as popular as Bleach, Naruto or Dragon Ball, but it's getting there
Ft was on par with the big 3 when it came to popularity back then even beating bleach in sales sometimes but thx to review channels trashing on it then love became hate having the overhating we have now thankfully it calmed down and people are starting to get into it again and just in time too cause 100yq might come on next year 😊

please for the love of god stop focusing on their chests, yes this show has a lot of fan service. No you do not have to mention it every 3 seconds just because a female comes on the screen. there’s a few character who don’t even have large chests but you assume they are anyway. you keep mentioning it it’s high key weird.

Fairy tail is good for me it's in top 10 and i have watched hundreds of animes might be because it's my childhood anime the story is fairly simple but the fights are great animation is good for its time some what funny only bad thing i can say about this is is that it doesn't have brutality in it for some its a + but i like it more when they have some dark scenes for me its like an 8/10 anime, this anime is not for everyone but i would recommend to atleast watch the first 10 episodes you could also react to the best fights of this anime maybe that will catch your interest i highly recommend to watch it
I do love and recommend this anime to anyone willing to watch it it's got some awesome fights hilarious jokes and goes without saying a good amount of fan service but what really gets me in this anime particularly is the characters most of all the main casts are pretty awesome to and that cast just keeps building and building as the series goes The entire guild gets a good amount of screen time and chances to shine but one thing I must say even if this is a bit late game The final villain of the series in my opinion is one of the most complicated and almost sympathetic if all big time anime villains he is definitely a standout for me and probably my favorite of all anime

Its definitely worth a watch. It's funny, action is pretty good, characters have great stories. It is a long series with filler as to be expected, but on the plus side the fights aren't nearly as long as they are in dbz.
Fairy Tail has very little filler though. More than 90% of the show is canon.
I know it really isn't that deep and was a side comment. (NOT HATE) but when he said it was funny hearing Japanese people rap? I just feel Rap isn't specific to a culture sure one may have made it but in 2023 I feel as if anyone can try to rap.
Funny that the mc is actually the blonde which is Lucy but the pink haired guy which is natsu is kinda a secondary mc. It is odd for most people. Also I can see why some people say that shanks and gildarts (Guy that looks like shanks in fairy tail) are similar. The reason is similar which is inspiration from one piece. The same can be said with many others like how much gajeel looks likes Radis, or how natsu and goku have similar traits. That said this was a big thing in many anime especially older ones with characters looking like each other and in some cases the creator did not copy or even see any others but they looked alike on sheer chance.
Well actually the main character is the whole guild ( fairy tail ) that's what justifies the power ups our main group obtain...bc of the strong affection and respect each member has for the other and this is shown clearly while protecting their home ( guild )
@@SingerYuri I was more about perspective. See according to the narrative Lucy is considered the main character as it is the story through her eyes. The guild is not really the main character itself as it is the family and relations she gains along the way. For it to be the main character it would have to focus solely on the guild itself which it is not always doing as some characters are not even seen and only a handful are really all that relevant to the story. The guild is much more a major part of the plot with the relations giving the main character and her friends power to push forward or motivation as you will which makes much more sense as concept than the guild being a main character. Really the only relevant characters in fairy tail is lucy's group, levi, Lockis and his group, kana, and a few other members here and there so around 20-30 percent of the guild at best.
No Natsu is the official MC. This was stated many times by Mashima.. He even explained it at the end of Manga chapter 13.

Natsu is considered the main MC for the story however even according to the official author of the series Lucy is the main narrator kinda a legend of zelda like deal. Lucy is the one that speaks and logs natsu's and the guilds achievements which is a different role but nearly as important. For those wondering why I compared it to legends of zelda the story of those games are told through the words of zelda who writes down links adventures as he tells them to her which is only due to her being one of the few he will talk to (Note the idea is a bit weird given the dynamic between the duo in the game series is different each game)
actually natsu has been confirmed the MC by Hiro himself plenty of times, Lucy is more of the narrator of Fairy Tail.

black clovers manga artist was fairytail s assistant so, that might be one of the reason why it somehow looks familiar
The boobs are like both just part of the design in general and a running joke for one character. They even put scenes where that character pats her chest to feel her nonexistent boobs.

Not the Natsu harem 😭. Calling Erza a part of it is crazy lmao, she'd pummel him. She's basically the eldest sister of the group, disciplinarian. None of that ambiguous relationship. This is still shounen lmao.
One thing to note is that Hiro Mashima at practices TRUE equality because there's fanservice for BOTH the men and women lol. In the main squad there's 2 guys and 2 girls at the start and all of them have been butt ass naked _multiple times_ by the end of the series lmao. Irrational slutty outfits can be seen worn by _everyone_ and I really respect that. Hiro Mashima loves his designs and so do I.
Black Clover and Fairy Tail were created by the same Manga artist. So was Eden's Zero
the author actually ask for permission to make a character based on shanks bc he is a huge fan, in fact if you go to the first chapters of the manga you would notice that the drawing style of everything is similar to one piece until he perfected it along the way to be his own style

Along side Naruto and One Piece I put Fairy Tail in my top 3 anime..I’m biased though cause it helped me in a dark period of my life,I was strung out on heroin and Fairy Tail helped me get clean..plus I thought to myself what would Lucy Heartfilia think of me being an addict and all I could see is her disappointed face…can’t disappoint the girl I love
