Imaginative to use an underwater camera as a land camera.... Like the kind of backwards lever wind with shutter trigger on the end.. very clever engineering....
Just won an online auction for one, £100.00 plus postage. As I understand it only the 35mm and 80mm were designed to work above the surface, the rest I understand only work well submerged. Submerged all the lenses focal length are changed due to the effect of being in water. I also have been told this was the last of the purely mechanical kind. The rest use batteries.
thank you! it's really difficult to open and close mine. I thought about putting a little grease at the ring but I'm afraid it will ruin the camera. Do you have any tips on ways to do it?
Did you use the 2 levers to lift the top cover off? I suggest u apply some grease n wipe it off leaving behind a very thin layer. Then open n close it many times to loosen it. Have fun!
What I've found helps is to try to push both of the lugs at the same time so the top comes off evenly. I have the Nikonos I & II and that works for me.
My preferred "rainy day" camera!

Indeed. Only 2 lens are suitable for both underwater and land use.
I like the shutter advance also but have read that it might lead to more camera shake through the backward push instead of a button push from the top.
Thank you. I love the video. Now I can use my camera!
Enjoy yr camera!
A nice informative video, thank you.
Glad u like it.

You are supposed to put silicone grease on those o-rings. It makes them even more water tight.
Just bought a V 😂
I like the flushing sound effects.
hope you enjoy yrs too. The V has a meter so will be easier to use. Do show us the results
Analogue Photography Talk I will! I’m just not very confident with the zone focusing
@@felixchong2002 i use higher iso 400 film and use f16 or smaller :)
Is this camera heavy?
Saw on the web selling for 130 USD with 35mm lens. Is it worth it?
it is about 900g. not really heavy to me.
if it is fully functioning and good condition then it is good price.

This camera is the earlier version and it no need battery and has no meter.
The one I got has got a battery. I am not sure what type?
