This comparison is very misleading......Absolute figures for the RV against bloated figures for the Shine.. First of all not everybody will buy through emi....and even if they do, interest rates are not that high. A total buying price for a shine at 1.26 lack is ridiculous, u can get 200cc bikes for that kind of on road price. So in reality the shine is cheaper to own in long term. Another factor to note is that the revolt can only attain its maximum range of 156km if the rider rides extremely slowly on the lowest power mode. Realistically speaking you can expect 80 to 90km per charge, which greatly limits its range if u thinking to take the bike on the highway. . Also despite its impressive torque figures its speed it greatly limited due to the lack of a gearbox. I think ZigWheels is promoting it quite obviously. Honestly, for the bike to run in the market it must be under the 1lack rupees figure. Unless the price comes down significantly, no body will buy the bike.
So much negative comments without facts and stats. Infact the Rs. 7 per KWh charge is way high. It's on an average Rs. 3.6 per KWh in Mumbai ( you can check site) Okay, let's do calculation again by considering 70KM mileage for RV 400. Total buying cost = 1,47,963 Running cost: (32, 400 km/70 km per charge) X ( 3.24kWh X Rs. 3.6 per KWh) = Rs. 5,399 Total cost of ownership: Rs. 1,53, 362 Considering you are buying Shine without EMI. I am having surplus cash in case of RV 400. Surplus cash in hand = Shine price 86,161 - RV subscription 3,999 = Rs. 82,162 I'd invest this money in Franklin ultra sort term bond fund which gives 8.94 % pa return in 3 years Lumpsum investment 82,161 for 3yrs with 8.94% annual = 1,06,078 Total profit = 1,06,078 - 82,161 = Rs. 23,917 Final cost of owning RV400 = 1,53,362 - 23,917 = Rs. 1,29, 444 Now let's consider 2 cases of Shine: 1) Without Loan: Total cost to own = 86,161 + 8000 maintenance + 45,353 petrol = Rs.1,39,514 2) With Loan The lowest intrest rate I could find was by SBI = 12.05% pa With that you will pay Rs.28,966 extra in 36 months 86,161 + 28,966 = Rs 1,15,127 Petrol for 3 yrs = 45,353 Total cost of shine = 1,15,127 + 45,353 = Rs.1,60,480 Shine just offers range & little more speed better than RV rest features are way way better in RV 400. Plus it's nation friendly and environment friendly. I don't know what more value for money you want. In above calculations I considered worst case scenario for RV 400 ( lowest range) and best case scenario for Shine ( lowest interest rate). And are you serious? Electric vehicles need gearbox? Please search internet why EVs don't need gear box and what's the difference between Electric motor and internal combustion engine.
Shine will cost Rs.2,15,561 for 7.5 years whereas I will earn at least Rs. 70,000 in 7.5 yrs with RV 400. Here is how: RV 400: Battery capacity = 70V, 3.24 KWh Per unit price in Mumbai for more than 30 units( 1 unit = 1kWh) = Rs. 3.6 Total cost of full charge = 3.24 X 3.6= Rs. 11.664 Mileage = 70 Km Cost per KM = 11.664 % 80 = Rs. 0.15 (or 15 paise) Travel per day = 30 km Travel in 7.5 years (90 months) = 90X30X30 = 81,000 Km Toatal run cost of 7.5 yrs = 81,000 X 0.15 = 11,810 As I am paying in installment I will invest remaining lumpsum amount in in Axis small cap for 7 yrs which has return of 20.00% pa Surplus cash in hand = Shine price 86,161 - RV subscription 3,999 = Rs. 82,162 Lumpsum investment 82,161 for 7yrs with 20% annual = Rs.3,12,008 Total profit = Rs.3,12,008 - 82,161 = Rs. 2, 29,846 Total cost of RV400 = 1,48,000 + 11,810 - 2,29,846 = Rs. - 70,036 I am Infact earning money here. Shine: Mileage = 55 kmpl Petrol cost = Rs. 77 per ltr Cost per KM =77%55 = Rs. 1.4 Total run cost for 7.5 yrs = 81,000 X 1.4 = Rs.1,13,400 + 15000 maintenance = 1,28,400 Total cost of 7.5 yrs = 86,161 + 2,28, 400 = Rs.2,14,561 Choice is yours!

@@sachin1st555 Completely agree with you bro that its a chinese inspired super soco bike. But orxa ia a tri-bike (Trike) and its still under final phase of RnD. 2 wheeler version will be launched after trike. While torq bike have almost exact same features, just the speed is bit high. Revolt is also india's bike. 90-95% parts is, and will be indian made. Even samsung and apple have chinese parts in them, so this is not a reason to not buy it. I am really not a fan of this bike. Especially after the oversmart pricing and marketing techniques they have used. If orxa's 2 wheeler would be launching this year or even at beginning of 2020 then it would be really good.

Makes sense for daily commuters, delivery guys etc. For me, I would need something more substantial comparable to a 400cc as a bike, but if I were to get these specs in a scooter, who both me and my wife could use, I would get it in a heartbeat.
1. What is the difference between the base model and the premium? 2. What about the availability of the bike in other cities like Ahmedabad, Baroda etc. 3. What are the other options to purchase it? For example. More EMI price for less installment period or with down payment or cash? How much the pricing other for payment modes rather than the MRP ???????
Well I would buy it ASAP @Kolkata but a big question which u had evaded.. What about FAME 2 subsidy.? How the subsidised price would be adjusted.? I guess it's 20 percent rebate
its like flagship mobile phone. example samsung released note 10 for 1 lakh after six months price reduced after 1 year price drastically reduced. if i buy in emi later i feel depressed because i pay for 1 lakh rupees phone in emi for 3 years but after one year note 10 price comes almost in half. ebikes also likes this i think so. more brands, more models, more localization future e bikes with same capacity like rv 400 priced to be less than 1 lakh for sure. but right now if any one buy this bike at 4k emi is becomes fool when new competitive model comes at less price.
Here the calculation is wrong. Jump to 2:50 The Recharge Cost should be : 208 Cycles × (3.24 kWh × Rs. 7 per kWh) = Rs. 4,717 Which goes wrong. Because, Rate is Rs. 7 for 1 kWh (for 1 hour) & Battery is 3.2 kWh Capacity. So, Rate is Rs. 22.4 for 3.2 kWh (for 1 hour). In this way - Battery needs 4.5 Hours to complete charge 22.4 × 4.5 = 100 Rupees for 1 Cycle. In this way, 208 Cycles × 100 = 20,800 Rupees. Thats the Correct Calculation.
I want to buy it from Bangladesh... If they allow me to pay the full price at a time cause i can't enjoy the emi facilities from here.... I just loved this bike.... Please make a way for us
For daily up and down 110 km travel I spend 5000 for month. So can I daily travel for 110 km on this bike and charge for full. So in the case may batary will effect ?

Well, not actually. Most of our electricity (~90%) comes from thermal power stations which is further powered by Uranium 235. If everyone starts charging their vehicles on electricity, the load will increase at the power station and hence the pollution from nuclear reactor.
If charging ports are easily accessible, then it could be a very good option. Also the torque war of IC engines would end... Electric motors have high torque...
3.2 Kilo Watt per Hour (KWh) The battery takes 4.5 hrs to fully charge... So, 3.2 KWh x 4.5 hours = 14.4 KW total consumed for 4.5 Hrs. Now multiplying it with 7 Rs/KW gives you 100 Rs approx for one charge cycle. Correct me if I'm wrong.
At 3.45 minutes running cost it will take (4.5 hr to fully charge and 3.24 unit per hr @ 7 RS per unit) =3.24×7×4.5=102 ₹ per full charge For 32400 km it will be 21126 ₹ approximately only when you run it only in eco mode, and battery will every time give performance as specified by the company
DNT u think they shud also come up with charging points for bikes in cities where there is a problem for Electricity, I saw Harley Davidson doing it for it's recently launched Live Wire.. if they can come up with this option.. I hope they can do wonders..
Yeah its great move by revolt . Just one thing need to ask. As bike is internet connected after 3 yrs will they ask for seprate monthly plan as subscribe like ather. Now as Jio internet cost is very low so they should provide some pocket friendly option
You forgot to mention 3 mode which is very important for calculation, Mode 1 speed is limited to 45 and range is 156 Mode 2 speed limited to 65 and range to 110 Mode 3 speed limited to 85 and range 90, These are provided by company their wili be some ups and downs, so your calculation must be based on these modes just as on other hand their are no such modes, I guess you are an influencer so use this status wisly.😊
Yes you are partially correct but also consider if you ride you cb shine in the economy mode it will be give around the mentioned 55km mileage. If you drive it too hard the mileage will automatically decrease. So driving in the third mode of rv400 will cost more and also driving too aggressively on cb shine will cost more. Hence i think the comparison made by him is fair enough.
@@rahulbhati7831 sir i will have to disagree with you on that. If you see on your bike tere will be a particular band of speed marked on your speedometer which says economy which is generally around 30 to 50 kmph. At this speed the engine gives the best mileage. Every engine in this world has a particular efficiency and power curve when plotted against engine rpm. At certain rpm the engine runs at maximum efficiency and at certain rpm the engine gives maximum power but low efficiency. Considering you have cb shine sp which has 5 gears if you travel at 5th gear at 55 kmph and 5th gear at 80kmph it will be obvious that that the 55kmph speed at 5th gear will return better mileage. This is because the bike is in its highest gear and the engine rpm is in its efficiency band. On the contrary if the 80kmph speed will return less mileage because the bike is in its highest gear and the engine is also running at higher rpms in its power band.
My another question. Is If company can shut down the bike for non payment, than it can shut down anytime in future also. Company may change its policy, saying, this byke is now say 10 yrs old you can't run or so, Company may create a rule to shut down. May be in future. Is there any assurance that company won't do such thing in future. Because when greed comes, company won't see anything else. So we will be under control of the company.

I've one question, if I've the money to buy this one why they aren't ready to sell at instant..? My suggestion is replace the usd forks with conventional one to reduce the cost a bit, and make it around 1.25 to 1.35 lakhs with cash on delivery option. We are ready to experiment the electric bikes, but if it only available on emi you can't sell it in good numbers for sure..
EV technology is still in its infancy,, there are many hurdles for the company to overcome in order to make the bike really worth it...instead of putting upside down forks and other fancy parts, RV 400 should have focused on delivering a longer range and a better drive system...
And the electric bike becomes very very less cost if you run 100 km a day ...like a swiggy / Zomato / Uber delivery guy if he rides 120 / 130 km a day ..he will save even more ... electric bike is the cheapest futuristic way to travel.

I'd invest this money in Franklin ultra sort term bond fund which gives 8.94 % pa return in 3 years
Lumpsum investment 82,161 for 3yrs with 8.94% annual = 1,06,078
Total profit = 1,06,078 - 82,161 = Rs. 23,917
Final cost of owning RV400 = 1,53,362 - 23,917 = Rs. 1,29, 444
Now let's consider 2 cases of Shine:
1) Without Loan:
Total cost to own = 86,161 + 8000 maintenance + 45,353 petrol = Rs.1,39,514
2) With Loan
The lowest intrest rate I could find was by SBI = 12.05% pa
With that you will pay Rs.28,966 extra in 36 months
86,161 + 28,966 = Rs 1,15,127
Petrol for 3 yrs = 45,353
Total cost of shine = 1,15,127 + 45,353 = Rs.1,60,480
Shine just offers range & little more speed better than RV rest features are way way better in RV 400.
Here is how:
RV 400:
Battery capacity = 70V, 3.24 KWh
Per unit price in Mumbai for more than 30 units( 1 unit = 1kWh) = Rs. 3.6
Total cost of full charge = 3.24 X 3.6= Rs. 11.664
Mileage = 70 Km
Cost per KM = 11.664 % 80 = Rs. 0.15 (or 15 paise)
Travel per day = 30 km
Travel in 7.5 years (90 months) = 90X30X30 = 81,000 Km
Toatal run cost of 7.5 yrs = 81,000 X 0.15 = 11,810
As I am paying in installment I will invest remaining lumpsum amount in in Axis small cap for 7 yrs which has return of 20.00% pa
Surplus cash in hand = Shine price 86,161 - RV subscription 3,999 = Rs. 82,162
Lumpsum investment 82,161 for 7yrs with 20% annual = Rs.3,12,008
Total profit = Rs.3,12,008 - 82,161 = Rs. 2, 29,846
Total cost of RV400 = 1,48,000 + 11,810 - 2,29,846 = Rs. - 70,036
I am Infact earning money here.
Shine:
Mileage = 55 kmpl
Petrol cost = Rs. 77 per ltr
Cost per KM =77%55 = Rs. 1.4
Total run cost for 7.5 yrs = 81,000 X 1.4 = Rs.1,13,400 + 15000 maintenance = 1,28,400
Total cost of 7.5 yrs = 86,161 + 2,28, 400 = Rs.2,14,561
Choice is yours!

@@Saurabh.P dont take in the wrong sense, i have nothing against EVS.. . its just that electric vehicles still need a lot of development to push its parts costs lower.... At the present moment if costs are your priority then better buy a 100 110cc commuter, it will give u better mileage and the cost of ownership is way less in long-term. . the fact of the matter is that nobody will want to buy an E-bike at this costs and at this range.... in the end the RV 400 will find it difficult to find a target market to fit in... I was hyped to know about the price when the bike launched, by unfortunately its a big let down
Love the way u explain things 😍
Thumps up for clear explanation... 👍
Nicely Explained. Thanks for the video.
I was skeptical during the review video but this video may just change my mind regarding rv400.
Man just have a look at the quality of the bike before going for revolt

/Emflux (premium superbike...200km/hr...0-100 in 3 sec etc) etc many more ...don't waste money on these chinese crap batter to invest money in innovative and hardworking e-bike startups
What if I want to exchange my bike to buy revolt??
What about water issues because in South it's a constant issue of flood and heavy rain???
Water proof h
It's water proof you can go through their website for further information. @Revoltmotors.com
It is told clearly, if you drive through water about knee deep no problem but if bike remain in submerge in water for more then half hour then no safety

Revolt haven't reavel it's subsidiary amount they should do that

its like flagship mobile phone. example samsung released note 10 for 1 lakh after six months price reduced after 1 year price drastically reduced. if i buy in emi later i feel depressed because i pay for 1 lakh rupees phone in emi for 3 years but after one year note 10 price comes almost in half. ebikes also likes this i think so. more brands, more models, more localization future e bikes with same capacity like rv 400 priced to be less than 1 lakh for sure. but right now if any one buy this bike at 4k emi is becomes fool when new competitive model comes at less price.

Valuable information ......people should think about that
What about battery changing cost after 3yrs
When it available in Mumbai
Here the calculation is wrong.
Jump to 2:50 The Recharge Cost should be :
208 Cycles × (3.24 kWh × Rs. 7 per kWh) = Rs. 4,717
Which goes wrong.
Because,
Rate is Rs. 7 for 1 kWh (for 1 hour) & Battery is 3.2 kWh Capacity. So, Rate is Rs. 22.4 for 3.2 kWh (for 1 hour).
In this way - Battery needs 4.5 Hours to complete charge 22.4 × 4.5 = 100 Rupees for 1 Cycle.
In this way,
208 Cycles × 100 = 20,800 Rupees.
Thats the Correct Calculation.

Pollution will drastically decrease if everyone buys this .
Pls create similar video comparing with Ather Ownership and if possible , a starter guide for electric bikes

Very good video very useful ... Thanks a lot
3.2 Kilo Watt per Hour (KWh)
The battery takes 4.5 hrs to fully charge...
So, 3.2 KWh x 4.5 hours = 14.4 KW total consumed for 4.5 Hrs.
Now multiplying it with 7 Rs/KW gives you 100 Rs approx for one charge cycle.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
wrong. 3.2kwh * 1 unit cost (1 kwh) = cost of full charge. doesnt matter if the battery takes 4 hrs or 1 month to charge.
KWh is one unit, so it should take 3.2 units and then multiply it by cost per unit.
How much unit of electricity consume to charge 0-100% battery
4.5 hours
3.24 kwh is battery size.
so same 3.24 units
Approximately 4-5 units not more
So that means 5 units = 35 rupees full charge. Becoz a unit costs 7 rupees approximately in Karnataka.

At 3.45 minutes running cost it will take (4.5 hr to fully charge and 3.24 unit per hr @ 7 RS per unit) =3.24×7×4.5=102 ₹ per full charge
For 32400 km it will be 21126 ₹ approximately only when you run it only in eco mode, and battery will every time give performance as specified by the company

That T-SHIRT is sick though
You forgot to mention 3 mode which is very important for calculation,
Mode 1 speed is limited to 45 and range is 156
Mode 2 speed limited to 65 and range to 110
Mode 3 speed limited to 85 and range 90,
These are provided by company their wili be some ups and downs, so your calculation must be based on these modes just as on other hand their are no such modes, I guess you are an influencer so use this status wisly.😊
@@vatsalparmar317 no sir riding shine on speed of 80 won't effect it's mileage, on the contrary it wil improve it's mileage, I have tested on highway
Please compare revoult normal mode and sport mode with shine
Great to see suits best to ride in city interested in buying....
My another question. Is
If company can shut down the bike for non payment, than it can shut down anytime in future also.
Company may change its policy, saying, this byke is now say 10 yrs old you can't run or so,
Company may create a rule to shut down.
May be in future.
Is there any assurance that company won't do such thing in future.
Because when greed comes, company won't see anything else.
So we will be under control of the company.
Best review I have ever seen
How can get to service station. They will lauch it in dealership or the bike is selling in online ?

If yes but we don't want to Pay then?
If we clean with water ...will it damage the speakers or what
What if we live far away from service centre and what if we want to pay full money
EV technology is still in its infancy,, there are many hurdles for the company to overcome in order to make the bike really worth it...instead of putting upside down forks and other fancy parts, RV 400 should have focused on delivering a longer range and a better drive system...
