You actually could have watched the live and not missed anything. Yes, he was dancing, but the volume of the backing track was increased so that you could clearly hear the vocals. The only time the BTS members don't do that is when they want the crowd to sing the lyrics. Or if something unexpected happens and they aren't able to sing when they planned to. They've had 10 years to figure out how to incorporate vocals with dancing so that we don't miss anything during a live performance. That's part of the reason why their live performances are so good.
Couple things about JK and his album: He's not one of the 3 rappers in BTS, though he can rap and did in their first couple albums, and he isn't one of the main writers so he decided to have other people write all of the songs in Golden. He's helped write and produce multiple songs in BTS though!
There's no doubt about JK's writing abilities not only did he co-write many BTS songs but he also wrote many hits on his own like Still with you and My you. The reason why he didn't write the songs on Golden is because he wanted to do the album in full English and he doesn't speak English so obviously he had to get some help.

I just wanted to drop a suggesion, since you said you liked Hate you and its more of your vibe . here are some BTS songs that are deep and though they dont necessarily have a soft instrumental , if you listen to the eng sub lyrics you will resonate more with vibe and depth of soft music in BTS's works 0. I NEED U ( i am recommending this first cos this is the first song of bts that was soft harmonic rather than there usual pop beats) 1. MAGIC SHOP ( a song for their fandom ARMY) 2. Spring Day ( its a song written during / around a tragedy that happened in korea at that time , i suggest making a longer video with both MV and explanation video in one) 3. The Untold Truth ( its a song that showcases the 4 members of the vocal line ) 4. BUTTERFLY ( i wouldn't usually suggest this to a relatively new person discovering BTS cos knowing this song is by BTS is like knowing that is a song by taylor swift , you know that it defines you hv deep down discovered BTS gem songs...............but since its your type I think u will definitely love it ) any other suggestions or comments good or bad ARMYs are all here to help
